Description of Work: We had a small toilet repair we needed addressed so we hired them.

Description of Work: We have a valve behind our washer/dryer unit that we were told by the former owners needed to be turned off in the winter so that the pipe that takes water to our roof garden wouldn't freeze. Now that we're getting a new washer dryer, we won't be able to access that valve, so I've been talking to many many people about what to do. Darwin came out within 2 hrs of me calling him and after looking at and thinking about the job for 20 minutes, concluded that I didn't have a problem - that the pipe going to the roof was inside and so it wouldn't freeze. He asked if I would pay the $45 service charge, and I said, I didn't know there was one and he seemed happy enough to leave without any cash, so seeing as he'd saved me a couple hundred bucks I gave him $20 for his time. He said, he guarantees the pipe won't freeze and if it does, he'll come fix it. You can be sure I'll hold him to that and if he doesn't live up his word, you'll hear about it here on Angie's List. :-)

Description of Work: Installed an extension pipe to bring a spigot for outdoor water to a more convenient location.

Description of Work: Found the source of a leak we had found on our basement ceiling and replaced piping to repair the problem.

Description of Work: My hot water in the kitchen has always had low pressure. I tried opening the valve under the sink more, then the hot water shot off completely and the valve seemed broken. Trumpet came that day and was able to fix everything- it turned out the faucet was broken which had to be replaced. He had an extra one handy, which was very nice, and replaced it. The job was done very well, he was very nice and polite, kept the area clean, and worked quickly. The only downside was the work came out to be a little more expensive then originally estimated, because the problem was replacing a valve, but the entire faucet which had to be replaced. But the estimate wasn't that much higher and work was worth it and well done.

Description of Work: Repaired a broken valve on a radiator - had to remove radiator and replace valve.

Description of Work: Darwin lives across the street from us and we have hired him for a number of small jobs over the past year or so: putting in spigots at the front and back of our house, installing various fixtures, fixing leaks, and unclogging the drain pipe. All tolled, I'd estimate this work was about $700.
