Description of Work: Cleared ice and ice dams off of our roof. They did the job without any damage to the roof but could have extended the area cleared a little beyond the limited area that was the immediate problem.

Description of Work: Received estimate for residential roof replacement. Received full estimate and the price was very fair. Enclosed with the estimate was some flyers from GAF promoting their "System Plus Weather Stopper". Upon looking more into the warranty, I learned at least three components of their GAF brand need to be utilized. I re-read the estimate and found Besroi did not specify the type of deck protection material, just 15# felt underlayment. When I phoned to inquire, I spoke to a gentleman. I asked specifically about deck material and he stated "It could be Cambridge, GAF, or whatever we have on our truck ya see, cause we buy it in bulk". I told him I was reading the enclosed GAF literature they sent and he made sort of a statement to the affect that it wasn't important. I further expressed my concern about the underlayment and that because I was spending approximately $9,000 dollars of my money I simply wanted to know so that if anything did come up that there wouldn't be an issue with a warranty claim. The gentleman then proceeded to state that their company had been in business for many years but ultimately said "i'll go to the truck and take a look at what we have and call ya back". He did but no voice mail was left. I scanned the paperwork, and e-mailed it to Besroi. I explained my concern about the materials, and requested a revised estimate incorporating GAF Deck Armor. I received no response so I phoned and was told I would receive a revised estimate but never did. That experience was enough for me to pass on an otherwise decent estimate which I would have chosen to go with. I live in the Southtowns, and my home is situated in an area which is on a hill and receives a lot of wind so I wanted to be extra sure I would have something good and further know what my money was going towards. Folks, my suggestion is to never focus on the bottom price but to gain an understanding of the process and know the types of material otherwise for all we know some contractors could be utilizing cheap, foreign made material that may not even be safe. I'm assuming Besroi simply did not want to bother because they have a lot of business but unfortunately for them it isn't mine.

Description of Work: THE WORKERS REMOVED THE DOUBLE ROOF IN RECORD TIME AND INSTALLED THE NEW ROOF IN THE SAME DAY. THEY ALSO ADDED MORE VENTILATION OPENINGS IN THE SOFFIT. WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORK AND WOULD RECOMMEND BESROI TO OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS.
