LaDonna made many promises and implications and failed miserably!!! She blatantly lied. She said she was bonded and insured, her pricing was competitive and that she knew what she was doing. The job she did was inaccurate according to plans, overpriced and far below the expected standard. The work area was left a mess. Cigarette buts throughout property, scrap materials left behind, exposed wires and after 3 weeks the back flow preventer she installed ruptured and she refused to repair with out additional payment. After consulting with MANY landscape pros, it appears I will need to repair this amateur job. She now refuses to return any of my calls to settle these issues once I called her out on these issues. I am embarrassed that I allowed her to take advantage of me but I feel a duty to protect others.

This job, a referral from an extremely satisfied landscaping customer, began as a complete backyard overhaul, in which the client stated there was a budget of $10,000, including grass, rock, plants, and a walkway. The client even provided an estimate given to him by a competitor, the previous year, which provided an accurate representation of my competitive pricing. Almost immediately after approving the budget and labor schedule, the customer expressed a concern about finances and decided to remove several elements from the service plan. In an effort to work with the client's budget, I managed to lower the supply cost and even gave him a considerable discount on labor. The yard was leveled, top soil hauled in, irrigation installed, and seed planted. All other professionals that the client had consulted with had stated that it was next to impossible to get new grass to grow in July. I was able to achieve the results that other companies would not guarantee. I made several follow up service calls to the client's home after completion of the job, at no cost to the client. At a later date, the client contacted me, saying that there was a problem with a valve and asked if I would come and repair it. I told the client I would be happy to come out, scheduling permitting and repair, but unfortunately, I would be unable to replace the hardware at my own expense. The client proceeded to verbally abuse and berate me. I made the professional decision not to continue the relationship with the client, which resulted in the loss of the $250.00 balance remaining on the client's account. The work I provided was professional and I completed all the agreed upon services in a timely and competitively priced manner. It is unfortunate that the client feels so strongly about the situation and I do regret the loss of any customer, but I maintain that Tool Belt Diva provided and continues to provide excellent and professional service, as well as above and beyond customer service.
