Fantastic! we got a thorough review of our energy use & needs.

The plus side is that this company showed us some cool toys they have for measuring heat coming into the house. I bought some thermal curtains for the windows which surprisingly appear to block a lot of heat coming in. The employees were all very professional and courteous.

I got a call from the company shortly after I bought the A/C deal through Angie's List to schedule my appointment. When I called them back, they had availability within 48 hours. Rene showed up promptly, completed the work, and was very professional in his appearance, attitude, and work. He told me about any issues that I may have in the future and how to handle those. It went very smoothly. Great work!

The energy audit was extensive, and explained in detail. The actual work was done timely, and thorough.

Each phase of the energy audit was explained as well as the preliminary results,the final report was thoroughly explained.All work performed was very quietly and professionally.

They were very professional and it was a pleasure doing business with them.

They did an excellent job. We are really impressed. The test is very comprehensive. They were able to answer all the questions I had. I have decided not to use them because they are more expensive than others.

The audit techs, audit & insulation guys were all timely, helpful, & professional.

The technicians were nice; one of them seemed reasonably knowledgeable. I paid $99 for the audit and then they sent a salesperson to return to my house and provide the results. The salesperson was 30 minutes late and seemed to read and interpret the report as he was delivering the results to me; ie he was not prepared. As part of the analysis, he directed me to the NV Energy website and said their ROI would speak for itself. He then asked if I wanted to make a decision and set an appointment for insulation work at approx $2500. I did not make an appointment for the services because I dont know if their pricing is competitive plus the ROI was 6+ years. Some of the energy audit results were informative, but I'm not sure I would pay for someone to come in and sell me services like this again. If their goal is to sell services for several thousand dollars, then maybe the audit should be free. The service would probably be more credible if they did an independent audit, and then had pricing from multiple companies who provide services.

We got three bids and Service 1st Energy Solutions was the lowest. They gave us quotes for Goodman and Amana systems 13 SEER through 18 SEER. Since we had a good experience with them for insulation we went with them. We got two 3 ton split Amana high efficiency (16 SEER) AC and furnaces. It took two days to remove the old units, and install the new units, both were in the attic. The workers were very considerate the whole time. They lay down cloths, so that when they tracked insulation, it was easy to clean up. They vacuumed the areas with obvious dust afterwards. The new units are quiet and we are happy we did it.

From the audit leaks were found in my A/C ducts. The crew came out and repaired the leaks in my ducts and around the A/c unit.

On 5/10/11 they came back with their findings on what we can do to make our home more energy efficient. Zita was not pushy or overbearing, she was very professional and pleasant to talk to. We are going to have some of those services performed at a later date. We will update when those services are performed.

The installation of my solar water heater went wonderfully. The installation crew (Scott and Rene) were very nice and informative young men. They explained to me what was going happen during the installation and what I could expect from start to finish. The installation went exactly as they said and when they were finished, they cleaned up so well it looked like no one was ever there. Also, before they left they sat down with me to explain how the system worked, etc., slow enough for me to take notes. I am very pleased with the whole experience I had with Service 1st Energy Solutions.

Came on time, did a thorough audit,explained their findings and made recommendations. I contracted with them to reinsulate my attic; it's done and I am pleased. I have recommended them to friends.

When they came back with their extensive report, their only suggestion was to sell us insulation. I knew of some problems that already existed and they failed to identify those existing problems. Overall, I was not impressed with their service and thought that their sole intention was to sell me their products, which was going to cost several thousands of dollars.

I like everything about them. They are professional and knowledgeable. Their price is reasonable. They are very detailed in their work. I?m actually planning to use them for another work. I would use them in the future.

I tried for years to convince my husband we needed to go solar for our home with no luck whatsoever. Our neighbors, however, had just installed solar so he spent days watching their electric meter run backwards and was beside himself with glee. He got the name of this company from them and they came out promptly. They set us up for a FREE checkup to see how much we could save with improvements to our homes insulation. After the test they found that we had done everything humanly possible aside from replacing our pool pump with a more efficient one. Then we waited for results of how many panels it would take for us to go solar. We didn't wait long, and readily agreed and within days they were installing our panels. We were astounded by how well they looked on the house. Our friend who is a master traveling electrician came to inspect their work for himself. He confirmed what we already felt, that they did a "FIRST RATE JOB". We must say from start to finish, everyone in this company is top notch. We were treated with respect, kindness, and the type of service we thought had long been forgotten. We strongly recommend this company to all who are seeking to survive the constant raises in electricity, and can guarantee that you won't be disappointed. I would like to extend our gratitude for Krystal Hosmer's kindness and patience.

They came out and did a very extensive Energy Audit (which did not cost anything). Two weeks later, Matt came back with the Audit Report. He did not recommend or pressure us into anything we did not really need and informed us of several energy rebates that are available. The next week James and Hernan came to do the work. Since they were blowing the insulation in, they put up plastic all around the attic access while they worked to keep the dust down, and did a wonderful clean up after they were done. After the work was finished, the inspector came out and checked to make sure everything was done properly to qualify for the energy rebates. He found a couple of small spots where a little more insulation was needed, and they fixed that immediately. I would definitly recommend this company and use them again.

I called them based on their Angie?s List reports because I wanted to get some insulating done before the end of the year. We were able to schedule an appointment for an energy audit a few days out. They tested my ductwork for leakage, which turned out to be minimal, tested all gas appliances for carbon monoxide output, which was also minimal. They ran the blower door test to test how tight the house was (windows, doors, etc.), which also turned out to be within the normal range. Matt came back a few days later with all the results and proposed some more insulation in the attic and gave me a bid on insulating my garage walls, both of which I wanted to do. He also proposed a spray-on radiant barrier to cut down on attic heat from the summer sun, and explained all of the rebates available through energy companies, the city, the state, and the federal governments. We also discussed solar electric panels with regard to cost, rebates, payback, sizes, etc. I had them install the insulation and the radiant barrier (James and Allyn were my technicians), but I?m still thinking about the solar electrical panels, as the Nevada Energy rebates for the year have been fully claimed.

Energy audit of windows, exterior doors, air conditioning/heating units, ducts and insulation throughout the entire house, lighting, toilets/baths water use, and water heater. An infrared devise was used to check for insulation coverage in the walls and ceiling. A blower was used to establish leakage in the heating/air conditioning ducts (leakage 12%). The blower door test also established the whole house air leakage around electrical outlets, windows, plumbing, etc.
