Rick and Eddie came to do the audit which took some time. Matt and Gary provided the results, wrote up the proposal, included a minor repair at no charge, and recommended someone to do other types of work. Louis and Juan sealed the air ducts, showed me material that had been left in the vents from the previous owner, and fixed the damper. Six months later I had a problem with the damper. I dreaded calling figuring I would just get the "run around". They came right out, fixed the problem, and didn't charge. Rene did the AC check up and tune up. $39 with coupon. All employees were professional yet friendly, explained what they were doing, and answered all questions. They cleaned up after every project and the cost was reasonable. I would definitly recommend them.

On 11/17/2011 I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for a home energy audit performed by this company. Home energy audit was performed on my home on 11/29/2011. I was told I would have the completed audit report in 5 business days. A week later I received a call informing me the report was complete and they wanted to make an appointment to come by with the report. I informed them I was out of town and requested to have the report mailed or e-mailed to me. I was told by Yanette that the report was too complicated for me to understand and that I needed one of their sales agents to explain it to me. I assured her I was resonably intelligent and that I would call if I had any questions. She agreeded to mail the report. Over the next 60 days I made weekly requests to have the audit report sent to me. Each time I was told it would be done the next day, however Service 1st never produced he report On 1/27/2012, almost two months later, I received a call from Tracey Taylor with Service 1st asking if I was satisfied with their service. I updated him on the above. He apologized for the delay and assured me I would receive it by 01/31/2012. On 02/07/2011 I called to follow up with Mr. Taylor because I still had not received the report. He was unavailable but I was again told I would have the report the next day. On 02/14/2012 I filed a complaint with the Nevada State Contractors License Board. On 02/21/2012, Greg Welch with the Contractors License Board (702.486.1143) contacted me to report that Service 1st had agreeded to e-mail me the report. Only after being contacted by the Nevada State Contractor License Board did Service 1st release the energy audit I paid for almost 3 months earlier that same day.

They were very professional and explained everything that they were doing. I was very very pleased and impressed with them. I purchased a Big Deal with them and they did the whole thing of the house and they did some recommendations. I don’t remember how much they charged me but I remember that it was very fair. I would definitely use them again in the future.

They are fair, reasonably priced, and they do great work. They've always come out the day we've called them.

I have an annual contract with them for the maintenance of the air conditioning system. They are a great company, and I am very happy with them. I would definitely use them again in the future.

I'm so glad I did it! These guys were so professional, informative and responsive to my questions. The home was perfectly clean when they left, nothing to clean up after they left. They gave me information so necessary to keep our home efficient. This was a great Angie Big Deal. A 16 page report will be delivered to me with full explanations and suggestions. I would recommend this company to anyone that has a desire to understand their energy consumption/loss and how to lower utility bills. These guys are great.

The man came and he was very, very nice. He was on time, delightful, and patient. He checked the heating and cooling vents under the house per the big deal description. When they contacted me with the estimate, they advised that they were just too far away to perform the service. I was very pleased that he was not upset for the distance he traveled without being able to take on the job. They didn't charge me anything for the estimate and for that I am very thankful. I am amazed and happy with the company.

They tell you where you stand in regards to Nevada codes. They told me information that I didn't know. They explained things and helped me with ideas. They gave me tips. They were really knowledgable. They spent almost two and half hours at my home.

They were really good, very nice people. I plan to have them come out and do insulation toward the end of winter.

When we arrived in town to stay in our new home, we found one of the A/C units was not working. They came back, but were unable to fix it. The second day, another unit failed. They wouldn't even give us a list of the "service" work they supposedly did. We had to hire another company and redo the work. The second company said that Service First had not even properly clean out the pine needles. Just terrible.

He inspected it for free. I spent nothing. He was honest. He could have sold me a piece and could have done a temporary repair but he was honest. I like him. He was punctual and was friendly. I would use him again in the future.

The audit was comprehensive and professional. The report showed that the house was above average in weatherization and the cost of the products they offered would take too long to "break even". I think it would be more fair if Angie's had given more information on the companies products and services. I'm reticent to "buy" another such offering. Maybe this review is more about Angie's than 1st Energy.

Service 1st got it done as fast tas they said they would and unsuggested some things we were going to do.

We were generally pretty happy with them. They were very tenacious in going after the rebate we were entitled to, there was a delay and they help push that through. They did leave the house a little dirty but they came back, brought some cleaners, and cleaned it up.

I was very satisfied with work done. Workers were prompt, cleaned up, and I am noticing a change in my energy bill!

I signed up for their energy saver program. They would service my unit twice a year. I get priority and they will bump me up the list if my air conditioner goes off. I also get 15% off of anything that I need from them.

The first time they came out they were not able to do it because they had some problems and they ended up doing it in a better way after it was delayed and I appreciated that they did. I was very pleased with their work.

Made an appointment with Matt at 1pm on 7/1. That day I was at home 12:40 after pickup my daughter from summer school, and waited for him to showup. Around 3:30pm no one showup or phone call, so I called the company. They said he was at my house by 1pm and no one home, he'll on his way. He showed up shortly after the phone told me he was here about 1pm and he had call no one answer... I showed him the entrance to the attic(every small door). He looked in, didn't go in. Then we went to the roof check the air conditioner to see if there is leak. He also went outside the house look around. I had the energy audit done by the power company before, so I showed him what they said about the house. The house is about 1600sf. He gave me a price of $1,124. I told him the 20% discount at the Angie's list, and email it to the company. We set an appointment for 2 workers on the next Friday 1pm. Louis & Eddie showup at 1pm. Both were in clean yellow uniforms(they looked very clean). Hand-shook by Louis. They started prepare their work outside at their truck. Few minutes later they came in the house in their work clothes, and covered up the entrance and some of the things by the entrance of the attic. Fiber glass and a big hose went in the attic, Louis started work inside, Eddie worked outside at the truck putting bags of insulation in a machine is connect to the hose. They were wearing mask. Few time, Louis came down from the attic. He was cover by the insulation ashes, I think he wants to get some air. Maybe 3 hours, they told me is done. I asked what about the leak at the air conditioner on the roof. They said is already fixed. I didn't know when they went up, so I want to go check and closed the house door but unlock( I was by myself that time, they were at the frontyard). They did fix the air conditioner before they work at the attic. When I came down from the roof, Eddie was in the house(Hope nothing is missing). He started to remove all the covers at the attic, and picked up the mess they leave behind. Louis made an other door with fiber glass for the attic. He gave me some papers to sign and call Cheryl for the charge. Hand-shook by Louis again when they leave.

They scheduled my audit for 7/5/11. This was supposed to be a one day 4-6 hour activity. One technician showed up and immediately started working on my AC units. The next technician showed up and explained that he could not do the other tests because the other technician was working on the a.c. He explained that this was a new program and should not have been scheduled at the same time. He scheduled a new appointment for a few days later. The AC technician spent a considerable amount of time cleaning up and tuning up my ac units. He was very thorough. A few days later, Rick, the other technician arrived and he spent several hours testing my insulation, tightness of my house and the air duct seals. He was very thorough and spent time explaining terms and how my house was testing. He also explained that they did not do windows and could not give me any information on solar panels or window seals. He scheduled a subsequent appointment to give me the results of the audit on Monday 7/11/11 for 1pm. At 1:30 no one arrived. I called the office and was told that Rick was on an emergency audit. She explained that they had doubled scheduled, but could have someone there by 2pm. The manager and 2 other associates arrived at 2pm. They made suggestions for additional insulation, a radiant barrier and attic fan. They also offered to help me find a contractor for solar panels. We set an appointment for the following week to allow me time to contact other solar panel contractors. I have subsequently cancelled my appointment regarding the insulation and attic fan. I am looking at estimates from other contractors.

The company was very good at responding to my request to come out and look at our air conditioner unit that had stopped working. This was in the beginning of July when it was around 112 degrees. 3 men came out and while one was in the attic, the other two began applying pressure on me to buy a whole new unit from them.. Their diagnosis was that we needed: new blower wheel, new blower motor, and new control board. They estimated it would be about $1,300. I "got them down" to $1,000 and they called the big boss to see if it was ok.....and it was (just like buying a car). I said I would get back to them, and they finally left. I called another company and they came right out and replaced the capacitor (like a motor battery) and that was all that was needed. I feel really angry that this company tried to take advantage of me, especially after telling them my husband just lost his job. Also, beware of any company that sends 3 guys just to do an estimate.

I’ve got a pretty good feeling about them. I liked the overall job they did. They came out and they did some testing. The testing group tested how much air was physically leaking from the house. They looked at all the energy consumers like the air conditioners and took measurements on those. My energy bills were running through the roof literally compared to my neighbors and I didn’t know where to turn. So they came out with the approach where the audit was free. My energy bill was $340 month before last and my neighbor’s was $140. So there was a huge difference. I couldn’t make sense of that and when I found out, it was just little things that we were doing differently. The one thing that I was totally resistant to which is compact for us was, they made the case where your saving the money. First of all they made the case and it was a lot more expensive than the regular guys. They gave me a price on those and they also pointed out the energy problems where you’re not creating the heat in the house and the air conditioning. They were able to tell us that the house was not leaking on the rear. They also pointed out that it was not leaking around the doors and windows. They ran some tests on that. They have a guarantee on the program. I told my neighbor about the rapid benefits. They were very professional. Their workmen were neat and clean. They also built some structures up on top of the attic access panels so they could put insulation back, so you won’t be moving the heat out of the access panels. They cleaned up after themselves. They cleaned up any insulation they dropped on the floor. They were very neat. I have done a little investigation and I found their price to be outstanding compared to their competitors. They were top notch. I will use their services again in the future.

Services was great. The techs were polite and explained everything they did and why. The did a good job of cleaning up after the work was complete.
