Description of Work: I was referred to Dr. K (sorry I don't know how to spell her name), but she is referred to as Dr. K.for my umbrella cockatoo for emergency surgery. She was eggbound and needed to be spayed. Well anybody who knows anything about birds, knows that it is extremely dangerous to spay birds, so needless to say we were terrified. But we put our trust in Dr.K after speaking with her at length, she made us feel very comfortable, but advised us of the dangers as well. She has performed many of these surgeries and is very skilled as a surgical vet in many facets of veterinary medicine. Our bird is very precious to us since we have had her since she was 8 months old and she is now 20 which is technically young for a parrot. So we proceeded with the surgery which took quite some time, but the technicians kept us informed during each phase of the surgery, letting us know how she was doing. (I only wish human doctors could take lessons from there clinic on handling patients!!!) She came through with flying colors, even went home that evening with full instructions on taking care of her. Our vet, Dr. K, even offered to take her home herself if we were not comfortable caring for her, but she really thought she would be much happier in her own environment. Dr. K called us that evening to see how she was doing, Snowflake, (our cockatoo) was doing great, on pain meds of course. I think I was the one who needed anxiety meds!! She continued to progress without any problems and was seen in about 10 days and released. Their clinic goes above and beyond to make sure your animal, be they 2 or 4 legged, is handled with kid gloves. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet for their dog, cat, bird or other exotic animal. They have several vets there and they are all equally qualified. We did see 2 others as well who were also as kind and ready to help. Until I needed a surgeon, I never knew they even existed since there office is a little far on the outskirts of town. But they are worth driving a little to see, believe me. Give them a call!!

Description of Work: Oh my god! This place is a hidden gem within the las vegas valley! They are very professional, they follow up with you, are knowledgable, and are in the right buisness... That is they love animals. As a bonus, they accept credit cards over the phone and as a college student this is a plus as my parents help, pay for everything. However, my appointment was at 140pm n I wasnt seen until 220-225pm. All In all I will return
