ENCHANTED GARDENS LLC

This is a small, local business that I'd like to support. I've been to the retail location several times because the owner seems to have a lot knowledge regarding native plants. I've also taken one of her classes. When my husband and I were looking for someone to do a landscape design, we went to Enchanted Gardens looking for a recommendation. Jackye enthusiastically offered her own services and we scheduled an appointment. In the subsequent weeks, it was necessary to contact Jackye. I left several voicemails, I called repeatedly and out of frustration, I even sent an email through her website. I finally had to drive to her business in order to communicate with her. The one time she did call me, her voicemail was actually kind of rude. It certainly was not professional or customer friendly. She was late for our appointment which was only a problem because we had another appointment scheduled right after hers. The design she did for the front yard was essentially what we asked for. The design for the back didn't really make any sense. It seemed that she had forgotten what was already there. It took her 3 weeks to complete what turned out to be about 1 1/2 hours of mediocre work (during the off season). I had not asked for a fancy document but I wanted something we could work off of to add value and beauty to our yard. As I said, the front design was acceptable, the back was pretty useless. She recommended two landscapers to complete the installation. She had no contact information for the first one - just a name. I was unable to find any current contact info for him using the internet. I scheduled an appointment with the second person she recommended. He did not show up for the appointment. I called him and left a voicemail. He called back and left me a voicemail. He was extremely apologetic. I said we could reschedule and asked him to call me in the next couple of days to do so. Have never heard from him. In summary, I'd say I was overcharged for mediocre work and was treated unprofessionally. I certainly didn't feel like my business was appreciated at all.
