He admitted to using minimal copper tubing which caused a flood in my closet. It ruined so many things. Clothes and medications and just everything in my closet. It was a nightmare there was just so much water. However, when he responded he wanted to do a deal under the table without me calling my insurance so that he wouldn't have a claim against his business. He just wanted to patch the hole in the ceiling, but everything I owned was soaking wet and so much was ruined. Following that, there was mold and mildew. He told me if I filed a claim that he would not do any more work for me or have anything to do with me unless I did things his way. He was very mean and was a bully. He trashed my name all over town to all of the other service providers and companies. Two years later, and the ceiling is not completely fixed. He basically did a job that cost me a fortune, and then abandoned my project. He was supposed to install the fresh air exchanger. This product is from Canada and not very common here. I don't think he knew what he was doing. I just now found out 2 years later that this whole time the motor had been running but the product wasn't doing what it was supposed to. He needed to install a whole new vent in my house for this system. The company that finally corrected his mistake called Canada and talked with the company for a long time to figure the system out. There is a smart button that comes with it as a remote. Chris told me to never use this button and that if I needed an air boost to go out into the garage and push the boost button. Now that it finally is working it is amazing. I just wish none of this ever happened with Chris and Williams Mechanical.
Response from Williams Mechanical Heating & Air Conditioning LLC
"We truly strive to create a good experience for all customers, but unfortunately in this instance we could not create the outcome we look for. We do not normally explain more in this much detail but this instance is much different and very unique. The issues [member name removed] had started because of a mistake made by Williams Mechanical. A connection came loose causing water damage in a master bedroom closet. We arrived at her home late the night it happen and moved what we could to allow it to dry and repaired the issue. After that the issue then became delayed. We offered to remove and repair all sheet rock and dry out the wall pay for dry cleaning of the clothes and make all attempts to correct the issue we created. She would not allow us to this. We contacted her several times to repair this with no response. We were trying to help her fix the problem not trying to do anything under the table. A month or so went by when we were informed she collected payment from her insurance, which intern collected payment from our insurance company. At that point we were told to no longer worry about any work for [member name removed] to resolve this issue by our insurance company. She and her insurance would remedy the damage and that by paying a settlement to her by the insurance company we no longer were responsible for the repairs. We continued to honor the warranty for the original install for the system installed and did provide service for the following year. This installation was completed two years ago in 2012 and any mold or mildew that may have been present was because we were not able to open the wall a properly dry it out. We were told by our insurance company they would handle it with her directly. After receiving payment from her insurance a water abetment company should have been hired to correct this issue, she was paid to have this work done. If she elected to keep the money and not do the work then mold would have been able to grow because of her lack to remedy the issue she was paid for. We do wish [member name removed] the best. We are sorry the water damage happened, but we feel we worked tirelessly and attempted to make repairs and settle the damage without insurance. When she settled with insurance she assumed the responsibility to make the repairs with the money the insurance provided her."

Williams Mechanical did an excellent job of educating us about our options.  They worked carefully with our schedule to accommodate some special needs that we had.  The installation was completed efficiently and well.  We had some trouble with the system intermittently shutting down when it was first installed.  The Williams Mechanical personnel worked hard to find the cause and replace the module that was the source of the problem.

BRIAN AND MIKE INSTALLED OUR NEW AIR CONDITIONER, PUT IN THREE NEW VENTS TO FEED ADDITIONAL ROOMS. AND CLEANED UP AFTER THE WORK WAS DONE. THEY WERE BOTH VERY NICE AND REPRESENTED THE COMPANY WELL. ALSO, COMMUNICATION FROM THE OFFICE WAS EXCELLENT. SCHEDULING CALLS TO ARRANGE PRELIMINARY VISITS WERE MADE AND FOLLOWED THROUGH AS AGREED. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH WILLIAMS MECHANICAL AND FEEL COMFORTABLE RECOMMENDING THEM TO OTHERS, WHICH WE HAVE ALREADY DONE.

The whole process went fantastic. From the original inspection and estimate process to the final cleanup after the two day installation process, you couldn't ask for a better operation. All of the installers were very neat and professional. There was never a problem with dirt or trash left laying around. When the left after the first day you could barely see any signs that work was in progress. I check on the price of this price with others a found that it was definite value, especially considering the selection of Trane system. They made what was envisioned as very complicated project run smooth and easy. I highly recommend Williams Mechanical for any HVAC services.

This install was complicated by the fact that the roof coating that the old HVAC system was sitting on and that the new outdoor unit would be mounted on had to be removed and a new roof coating installed. Williams took the lead in handling all of the scheduling and interfacing with the roofing company and insured that both jobs were completed in the shortest possible time span. Williams Mechanical did all of the install inside and outside with a minimum of disruption to our routine and did a neat professional job.

We received several estimates on the A/C. Williams was competitive, and provided good analysis.   had good communication via email.  Once selected, they provided an accurate start data, got started 1/2 day early.  The team was very good to work with.  Good quality.  There was an issue with the electrical that that was required.  The plan was to finish in one day.  That did not happen.  The only impact was a delay in the finish date.
We are Happy with the work and service.

Always punctual, always professional, and fairly priced. This year our cooler (which is very, very old) gave up the ghost and needs to be replaced. The estimate was free and alternatives given as well. We love these folks!

Chris came out to give us a quote on replacing our swamp cooler and and heater with a new refrigerated air system and heater.  We got a couple of other quotes as well and the quote from Williams Mechanical was the best.  Every other company said that we would need to update our electrical panel which would have to be done separately and would run anywhere between $1500-$2800. Chris took a look at the panel and after reviewing everything said that the existing panel could properly support it with some modifications to some breakers. So that saved us a bunch of money in just electrical work expense.  Chris was very easy to work with and was not pushy at all.  He provided a very clear quote that provided 3 different options based on the things we were looking for.  His quote also showed any rebates available.  After working with him on some questions we had we decided to go with Williams Mechanical.  They performed the work on the day they said they would and they did the entire install in a day and a half.  Julian and Bryan performed the install and they were both very friendly and did a great job of installing and cleaning up.  We also worked with Annette in the main office and she also was very friendly and helpful during the entire process.  Overall we ended up getting a much nicer system then the other companies were quoting for less then what they were charging for lower end systems.  We were pleasantly surprised how well everything went and how great this company is to work with.  We have already recommended them to a family member who is also having a new system installed.

We obtained three estimates from Angie's List people; I would have added more if I were not satisfied.  We chose Chris Meiers and his men to do our installation.  Chris wrote a very clear estimate showing us three options from which to choose as well as adding the rebates with each one.  He answered questions clearly; Annette, in the office, was a big help with more information-we wanted to be absolutely sure of our choices.
The installation went smoothly in one day by Warren and Nate as well as the two electricians.  I saw very little of them and did not pick-up any mess from them.  They were  professisonal  gentlemen.
We recommend Williams Heating and Plumbing with confidence.  They will be our continual plumbing and heating people for annual checks on our equipment and anything that needs attention.

Josh came out to set up my old cooler, found it had rusted out, recommended an Aerocool Cooler.  They set a date and came out, on time, and pulled the old one off my roof and put the new one in.  It looks great,  the sealing was done well, good clean up.  Working well.  The technician was unable to put the thermostat in since my old house was missing an electrical wire needed for the install.  He took a lot of time to do that, but said I needed an electrician for the new wire.  He left the thermostat in case I want to go forward, and he did not charge for the thermostat.  Polite respectful and nice.  Fixed an unrelated problem with no charge.

Josh arrived right on time for the scheduled summer start-up and inspection of our AC unit.  He was very thorough and suggested the installation of a surge protector.  This was done during the same appointment, and for a very reasonable price.  We highly recommend Williams mech. and will be calling them again in the fall for the furnace start-up.  Thanks Williams Mechanical!

We talked to a couple contractors in the area before deciding on using Williams for our furnace replacement and whole house humidifer installation. Chris was one of the most responsive persons. He made sure to answer all our emails and phone calls to clear any questions we had. He came in for the initial estimate and explained to us the work that needed to be done. The installation took about 2 days and there was a delay from the furnace manufacturer who delivered the unit but they kept us in the loop for any status update and made some reshuffling of the schedule to make sure they meet the timeline that was originally promised to us. Anette was really helpful and Warren knew what he was doing and was able to answer our questions throughout.
We love our new furnace with the humidifier and had a pleasant experience working with Chris and his team. Would recommend them to other people too!

The team showed up on time and started working.  They took care to cover our flooring and protect the walls.  They removed the furnances and some duck work. the room with the furnances was located on the second floor and they were able to move the old ones out and the new ones in without a wall  ding. The surface the furnances rest on was replaces with aluminum and is so much nicer than the drywall that was there originally.  All the electrical work was run through the attic and nicely covered and finished inside and out of the house. The air units were placed on the side of the house and the wiring, pads and units look clean and professionally done.
The system is silent compared to what had been replaced.
The team was professional and pleasant and very helpful training us on the new system.
We had 4 estimates done for this job and Williams was the most clear and easy to follow. Chris spend the time to make sure we knew what we were getting done.
I highly recommend you use williams for all you heating and cooling needs-their prices were very fair and the skill of the crew was evident.

They figured it out and replaced some valves and my house has been warm
ever since.  I was pleasantly surprised by the cost and the efficient
work.  The crew was polite and there was no pressure to buy a new system
- just suggestions on how my system could be improved.  Very
professional crew.

Before having these two items replaced, we received estimates from three different companies. Williams Mechanical was the best price and was able to complete the job quickly. I was impressed during the estimate that Chris sat down with me and explained all of our options to me in simple terms. He did not try to sell me the most expensive furnace. In fact, he recommended a median based off of our needs. The job was completed in one day by very professional and courteous staff. I was given information on how to follow up with the company should we need any support with our new furnace and/or water heater.

This company is awesome and amazing! I have no intention of hiring anyone else. When they installed the water heater, Chris was forthright and honest about the type of water heater I would need for the house. I had wanted a 50 gallon tank and the bottom line is that a 50 gallon would not have fit without a lot of extra effort. And the 40 gallon worked perfectly! I believe Warren was the one who installed it. He showed up on time and was very fast to drain and remove the old water heater (which was overdue to be replaced), then install the new one. He also cleaned up the area, so you would have never known that someone had just replaced the water heater. The radiant heating was a fun time. When we bought this house, I wish I had known that Williams Mechanical did radiant heating, because we got some plumber to replace some of the telestats before we closed on the house. So when we moved in and tried the radiant heating on a somewhat cold day, every zone except the main area worked. We attempted to call the original plumber, but their voice mailbox was full and tracking down their phone number took more Google searching than necessary. I gave up and called Williams Mechanical who informed me that they do indeed work on radiant heating. Josh was the first to come out (on a Tuesday) and he was able to figure out that some wires had gotten crossed when the new telestats were installed. Now they were being pressurized! Unfortunately, 4 hours later, I was sad to discover that my floors in the main area of the house were not heating. I called them back a couple days later and they sent out Warren out the same day. Poor Warren spent a couple hours checking and triple checking wires and the furnace but couldn't identify the problem. Chris called later that afternoon and offered to come by and take a look, but I was headed out of town, so I couldn't take him up on his offer. So I made an appointment for him to come back out on October 22nd (if I recall correctly). Chris showed up at the scheduled time and double checked everything, but after maybe 30 minutes, he identified that the thermostat had burned out. His guess is that it happened when the wires were crossed during the installation. After asking some questions about thermostats for radiant heating systems, he recommended that I could save a little bit of money by going to a hardware store and picking one up, as the thermostats he had available were a little overkill. He offered to come back and install the thermostat if I preferred, but otherwise I could install it myself. I have replaced thermostats before, so I didn't want to drag anyone back out for something I was perfectly capable of doing, but I was very appreciative of the offer! Wonderful company and people! I always find it a pleasure to hire them. Which I will, when I save up the money to replace the swamp cooler in this house with AC.

Excellent service from Chris's initial visit (he even went up on the roof with me to check something unrelated)to Warren's work.  His idea of saving the frame saved me $100.00, which was very  much appreciated.
