Description of Work: Wagner did a good job overall. The sales rep was too overbearing. Did not give us all options available. Techs that did install were great. Follow up calls are becoming annoying.

Description of Work: They installed a new air conditioning unit and hot water heater. They showed up on time and were very professional (they even helped me fix my loose gate). I found them to be on the high end of cost but deemed it worth it for the quality of the work. I would recommend this company.

Description of Work: Switched from swamp cooler to refrigerated air and took advantage of their offer for a "free" furnace. We have a 31-year-old home so needed both. the system worked great from the start, and it is so much more evenly cooled and clean relative to the swamp cooler. the only issue was that we were pressed for time, going out of town, and the salesman wanted to fit it in before we left (I told him I was willing to wait), so the installers had to work late into the night. and then they forgot to tell the office to schedule the inspection. but those are incredibly minor things; the important part is how superb the quality was and how great the new system works!

Description of Work: They replaced our old heater/AC unit. It took a little longer than I expected but it was well worth while as they did an excellent job. My husband and I are very pleased with our new unit. The installers were very careful and cleaned up nicely.

Description of Work: I just did a special with this company. They checked out my hot water heater as gave me a really high estimate on getting a replacement. I would thoroughly check out other companies before using them, because the estimate was so much higher than I had expected.

Description of Work: The rep came out to do an estimate for a new home furnace. He didn't even look at the old unit and decided I needed all new ductwork, doubling the cost of the furnace. Then he left without leaving a scrap of written material estimate. He was terrible and a rip off artist.

Description of Work: I called Wagner because they were on the city of Albuquerque's list of approved plumbers to install an on-demand hot water system so that I could get the rebate. Wagner was very responsive to my request for an estimate on a hot water heater replacement and the on-demand system. He came out almost immediately and to accommodate my schedule. He told me that an on-demand system would cost around $6000 to install and he recommended against it based on the type of hot water and home heating/cooling system I have. He gave me a quote of $2400 to replace the hot water heater and install a recirculating pump instead of an on-demand system. He was able to accommodate my schedule for the installation and we set an appointment. I was able to negotiate the price down to about $2300. I had quite a bit of sticker-shock with his price. I called another local plumber who quoted me the price of $1050 for the same job. For half of Wagner's price, I got the same job done. I have no complaints at all about the responsiveness and accommodations. The only complaint I have is for the excessive price. The office was excellent in setting an appointment and a reminder and has been very responsive since in following-up with me even though I did not use their services. If it were not for the excessive price of the service, I would work with Wagner in the future.

Description of Work: Replaced pump on furnace unit (under house). Added surge protectors to HVAC. Rudy was the service technician. I always ask for Jeff for plumbing and now ask for Rudy as they provide service at the level I rate excellent.

Description of Work: Bought plumbing inspection and repair of one toilet on Angie List special. Plumber did an excellent job with both the repair and inspection. However, their quote for repairs of identified problems were a bit outrageous. e.g. to replace a sink elbow which was leaking - nearly $300.

Description of Work: Bought the Big Deal and they came in and inspected a tiolet that we had that continued to plug-up and overflow. The tech (sorry I don't remember his name) was highly professional and veru informative. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the toilet and - as part of the big deal - he inspected the remainder of the home. He wrote up a report, along with estimates for what Wagner would charge and answered all questions I had. I was very impressed. Calling in and setting up the appointment was easy ... I got a reminder call with the name of the tech who was coming and the tech was excellent. Overall it was a great experience.

Description of Work: Received complimentary silver club maintenance agreement from a home show. They checked the boiler and found no problem. Request estimate for gas hot water heater replacement. It was the highest estimate received.

Description of Work: I have been using Wagner plumbing for a number of years to service my boiler system and to do general plumbing for me. In June 2009 I contracted with Wagner to do a complete boiler/hot water tank refit. Wagner sent their boiler tech out and he spent a week installing a new boiler, refitting the radiators, and installing a boiler fed hot water tank to replace the original gas hot water heater. The new system cost over $10,000.00. Two years later the system started to give us trouble. I called Wagner who sent out their new boiler tech and after looking over the work, told me, straight up, that the original installation was not done correctly and would require a complete rebuild. Wagner, by this time, had been sold. To the new owners credit, they took care of it at no charge, even though it was an expensive, complete system rebuild from scratch. Their boiler expert did an outstanding job. Please note that I waited four months until we were in winter mode to make sure the system would perform to expectations before going on Angie’s list. I am happy to report that the system is performing, as it should. Wagner will be taking care of all my plumbing needs in the future and we recommend them to one and all. Mike & Phyllis Sherard

Description of Work: I had a pin hole leak in my copper tubing above my water heater. I called Wagoner to come out, which they did. I was told that I needed to have my water analyzed (I live in the East Mountains and am on Entranosa Water System) because I needed a whole house water treatment system to keep the pipes from deteriorating. My home was only 4 years old at the time. They came to take a water sample, which was lost, so they came back and took another sample. They sent my water sample to some outfit in Airzona to analyze the water so they could build a whole house water treatment system to get rid of the problems with the water. When the estimate came back for the treatment system, I could not believe my eyes! Over $11,000 for the system. I said no thanks. I called another plumbing company and had a reverse osmosis system installed and my pipes were inspected and the water heater showed no corrosion in the pipes. In December, my sprinkler pipe broke and was leaking under the house into the garage. I called Wagoner to come out which they refused to do because we had had a big snowfall. The roads were clear though, but they still refused.

Description of Work: Wagner Mechanical provides excellent care for our plumbing, heating and air conditioning needs. The Techs always go to the extra mile for us. After a huge wind last Spring, the Tech looked all over our yard and roof to find a piece of the venting that had blown away. When he found it, he left to get a super duty wind proof tape and reconfigured the piece so that it would not blow off again. This winter, one of the heater motors quit working, and in an effort to save us money, Wagner took the motor to the shop and rebuilt it! They reinstalled it the same day, and it has worked great! They are responsive and courteous. Someone always calls the next day to make sure that we have been pleased with our service and service provider. We like and trust them so much that we have signed up for a monthly contract, designed for seniors, to provide all of our needs. Mrs. J Kindley
