+ -1 moreI have been using Rio Grande for all my and husband's car repairs for 5 years. I have recommend them to everyone and now all family and friends also use them exclusively. We all say the same thing....Finally found a good, honest, fair and trust worthy mechanic. I am a ABQ native and have searched high and low for the above qualities which might have been on the hunt for a unicorn with as many false claims and poor service I have received in this town. These guys are the real live unicorns of the ABQ auto repair world.

Description of Work: Took my CRV in for new back brakes, they replaced them but the new brakes made lots of grinding noise. I took it back they adjusted the brakes, I took it back and they adjusted them again, still grinding, they replaced the brakes but yet they still grind... will have to go to another shop. Plus all the time wasted waiting for work to be done, I am very dissatisfied with this service.

+ -1 moreI've been to a lot of shops in Albuquerque and this is the first one I've found that I'm completely happy with. I have four vehicles and do a lot of my own work, but I'm getting old and Rio Grande Automotive is going to get a lot of business from me. I know cars and when a mechanic isn't straight up with me. No worries about this kind of shenanigans at this shop. Tthe owner, Billy, is a Senior Master Mechanic. The shop answers the phone promptly and is courteous, friendly and honest. The main thing is they do quality work. In just a few months, I have complete confidence and trust in these guys.
Description of Work: I've had Rio Grande Automotive do quite a bit of work for me over the last few months. This includes rear axleshaft/seal replacement on a Grand Cherokee, exhaust repair and front end alignment. And more.

+ -1 moreGreat price compared to other quotes we were receiving (range was $1200-1400). Team at RGA were quick with updates on parts arriving and time to complete the work. Keeping the car overnight is no issue because they have a secure lot. A/C works great now. Will def use them again.

Description of Work: Oil change and air conditioner check up. Couldn't find a significant leak so recharged AC with tinted freon so they could find the leak later.

+ -1 moreI thought Rio Grande automotive was very fair. They can improve on nothing. They were perfect. They were very friendly, explained everything to me and I couldn't have been more pleased. They showed me the part that they replaced. I don't think they were any more expensive than anyone here in town. I have had no problems since the work that they have done.
