In my opinion, Greg did not live up to his reputation. He has sold real estate in the ABQ foothills for decades. In my opinion Greg recommended an initial asking price that was too high, so few buyers even looked at it. Months went by. Greg didn't stay in touch much -- usually his assistant dealt with us. After months without an offer we were more motivated to sell. We relisted with another realtor who sold it quickly, albeit at a much lower price. So I've given Greg a D rating - I'm sure at one time he was an A-rated realtor, but this was not our experience.
Description of Work: Greg listed our house but hardly any buyers visited. We then listed with another realtor who was more energetic, engaged and friendly. We lowered the price when we relisted. The house sold quickly with the new realtor.

We chose Greg because of quarterly newsletters that he sends to everyone in the neighborhood, listing homes for sale and sales histories that gave us an initial idea of what our home was worth. He told us that he specializes in the foothill area of Albuquerque and has 15 years experience. He advised us on the sale price of the house which was $20k more than I had expected, and led us through the entire sales process, bringing in a home stager (I recommend this), and doing a pre-inspection of systems and supplying an estimate of what repairs would cost from the results. He immediately had home showings after putting up the for sale sign and conducted an open house the first weekend. Greg sent out a color postcard to everyone in the neighborhood advertising the house. The results were very quick - 5 days after the house was put on the market, we had 3 offers; one for the asking price. After we had accepted that offer, we were turned over to Bridget at the Realty office who handled all of the back and forth paperwork. We closed on the house about 25 days after acceptance. The only dissatisfaction is that we had to pay for the house inspection, appraisal, and most repairs, which seemed to be a given with Greg, but not so with our realtor in Utah, now that we are buyers. Since the appraisal is for purposes of the buyers getting a loan, I now think that the buyers should have paid for that. But I can't fault the huge success that we had in selling our home far faster than I had reckoned.
Description of Work: Real Estate Agent for sale of home. Handled everthing from staging, house inspection, repair estimates, through the entire sales process to closing.
