They installed our unit in March 2015 and the unit induced motor was found to be defective in Nov 2015. They not only charged us for the service call but also charged us for the part which was under warranty. Very unprofessional. The same part after less than 5 years failed again and they took no responsibility of their workmanship. Customer service Person doesn’t deal with the customer professionally. This time again they were charging us for the defective part and exorbitantly for the service call under the pretext that we didn’t sign maintenance contract with them. So we didn’t finally go with them but went with Vendor Harmony heating and cooling who are far better and professional

It was a brand new installation for a very old house. They did the whole nine yards. There was no previous air conditioning. It was a new installation on a house that was over 100 years old. They fitted it in seamlessly. It is really quite nice. They had an entire team come out of 8-10 guys and did it all in 2-3 days. The only reason they stopped was because it was terribly rainy, really windy and lots of thunderstorms. We were really nervous of them being up in the attic. It was a little pricey, but not to terrible to swallow.

They have very good customer service. They are very responsive. They are very attentive to the customer and making sure the customer is happy. It is easy to get them to come out. It will be the next day or at the most two days. The price is pretty good.

It did not go well. We had Dennis come in for a quote. Told us there was no solution instead of installing a $650 piece of sheet metal to cover one of the vents, or a new unit. While looking around, he disconnected the condensation pump on the unit that is located in the ceiling, causing a leak and eventually a broken ceiling tile. We emailed and called back numerous times, not even to complain about the broken tile, but we were still ready to move forward with work. 3 weeks have gone by with no response whatsoever, yet were told that the owner had our file on his desk. I suppose the owner had no need or want for our business, or was scared we were going to ask for money for the broken tile (which we had no plans to, as our building replaced it for free). Disappointing experience, terrible service, and simply a waste of time.

Overall, I am happy with the work done except that there are two minor issues. -- About 3 inches of the refrigerant lines was not properly insulated, Since it is a minor thing, I just take care myself. - The technician forgot to check whether the new condenser unit matches with the my existing circuit breaker. It turned out during the town inspection that the new condenser only needs 15 AMPS max but my old condenser was using 20 AMP circuit breaker. When I call the company to explain this issue , I got pretty quick response. Finally, the issue was fixed. So, overall, my experience with this company is very positive.

We found Air1 by chance when we had an emergency last year, and I'm very glad we did. They fixed our problem last year and we were very happy, so during the first warm day in May when we realized one of our AC units wasn't working we called them again. Air1 came to the house the very next day and confirmed there was a coolant leak. Given the age of the unit, it made sense to replace the new unit vs. spend thousands trying to fix the old one. From start to finish the entire staff at Air1 was wonderful, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

I never write reviews on forums like this but felt the need to based on a recent experience with this company. I hired them for $125 to come out and diagnose a heating flow issue that I was having in our laundry room. They told me over the phone when I hired them that they would do a full test and give me an answer as to the cause of the problem. The guy who came was very nice, but seemed rushed and after a very short visit said it could be due to the size of my heating unit being too small to service my house. I explained that the BTUs for my unit should be enough to heat my entire house, not to mention that I have two zone heating and a separate unit in the attic that heats the 2nd floor and this one just needed to cover the first floor. He seemed to agree, but after the short 20 minute visit this was his only thought. He did offer to order 2 filters for me for my units (they needed to be replaced) for $45 each, which I agreed to purchase through them. He said they would be back within the next few days to install the filters and would also let me know about the heating issue. 2 weeks passed and I heard nothing. I finally followed up and they told me that the size of my unit was fine (I already knew this though). They basically told me that their job was finished. I told them they 1) didn?t diagnose anything and just threw out that lame possible explanation as a way to get out of my house and 2) still needed to come back to install the filters. Turned out they never ordered them. They did come back and the same guy spent a very long time in my house and seemed to do thorough research. He gave me a couple possible solutions for the problem that they could be hired to do (which included significant duct work). This is fine because I expected that. I told him to get me 2 quotes ? one for a full fix on the duct work, and one for an alternate and less expensive option he had come up with. I told him we would probably choose the option with less work but he could show me both quotes. He told me he had to have his office put the quotes for the various options together and they would get back to me shortly. He also replaced the filters, but then tried to charge me $75 each after the original quote was $45. But in fairness to them, they then did agree to the $45 after I complained. As nice as the service tech was, as soon as he left I turned to my wife and said ?we?ll never hear from this company again.? She didn?t believe me and thought I was crazy. Well 6 weeks passed and I finally called them and they said they would get back to me with the quotes. A few days later they sent me the one quote for the full fix (more expensive) option. I told them there were supposed to be two quotes. They said they didn?t have any information on the ?other option? and that the owner wanted to schedule a time to come out and look at the issue himself. So basically it took 2 months and I was back to where I started. I told them no thanks because I couldn?t hire them to do the work based on how unresponsive they were. I?m sure they?ll respond that this was somehow my fault, but this is exactly how it happened. Maybe I was an anomaly because it seems like they have good ratings. Just felt that the company should be aware of the service they provided so they can do a better job in the future.

Charged me to fix something that nobody else but they could have broken in the first place. I tried to talk to the owner was stonewalled. Worst customer service. I will never use them again.

Unit works fine. Left a mess. Cracked a drain which they then charged me to fix.

Our baseboard heating system was making a lot of noise. When we called A1 they said that their technician would know exactly how to fix the problem and they'd charge us a flat $125 for coming and fixing it. If additional parts would be needed we would pay extra for those. The guy showed up on time and the minute he saw the air vent by the boiler her told me that he cannot really fix it until the vent was replaced. He said that this would require plumbing changes and estimated the true fix to approx, $800. When I told him that I thought they were coming to fix the problem he drained the system out to reduce the noise. He said this was the best he could do and the problem was not fixed. Bottom line is these guys are making rounds to make some easy money. I had to pay them $125 for a 5 minute diagnostic.

Excellent. They allocated two days, but managed to finish in one. Sent a qualified crew, started at 7 AM, worked until done. Very professional.

We were able to make an appointment on the same day they were called. Gentleman was professional and knowledgeable. Office Staff was very courteous.

On time, protected carpets, professional and courteous crew. Install went well, cleaned up and provided all information. Very pleased.

Great. Our house is an early 1900 colonial with a large den expansion which proved to be a little bit of a complicated installation. I received many estimates and most were willing to compromise the instillation by taking shortcuts to be able to bid a lower estimate - some to the extent of oversizing the unit and trying to blow cold air down the stairs rather than installing proper drops into the living-room. I did previous research and spoke to commercial hvac contractors in my industry so I had a base of knowledge before I went for estimates. I work in sales/negotiations and as soon as I spent some time talking to Will about the job, I wanted to work with them. He had a confident expertise, was willing to take the time to explain everything (right and wrong), had no canned sales tactics and would not entertain a compromise to his work. He told me he would rather loose the work than do something we would not be 100% happy with. His bid also included and recommended more drops through the second floor into the first than any other estimate we received. They did not come in the cheapest but this job was 95% working with an old house and doing the instillation correct. The instillation went great. Day one they showed up with a small army to complete the job quickly. Everyone worked clean and wore boot coverings and considering they were working through plaster they worked to contain the mess. We came home from work to a house that did not look like it was going through a major instillation. Will stopped by the job many times and him and his office was very responsive to questions/requests. There was a small malfunction that came up two days after first startup. They were at our house first thing the next morning and handled the issue ( this probably was during the busiest time of the year for them). I would absolutely recommend working with Air 1 heating and cooling. If you receive other estimates first your decision will likely come much quicker.

I called at 7:00 a.m. because I had no heat and Air1 was at my house by 7:45 a.m. It was determined that I needed to replace my ancient old furnace. Since I am a woman and not familiar with prices of the boilers, I cannot comment too much on the price, but since they were prompt and could do the job the same day, the price is worth it. They were prompt, efficient, professional and friendly.

Arrived promptly and worked furiously along with 4-5 other installers and helpers all day. Immaculately left premises and precise work.

Trane brand unit. It went very good. They finished after a couple of days, and everything was removed and cleaned up. I'm happy with them as far as price and professional manor.

Estimate: Dennis was prompt, professional and thorough. Work: Jermaine and Carlos were professional and courteous. I was concerned with dust as I have an asthmatic child - they were cautious to perform the job as contained as possible using drops clothes, booties and a vacuum. The vents were moved straight within the studs and they cleaned up any residual plaster and dust thoroughly.
