Description of Work: Ken refinished my living room and dining room floors. I was very concerned about how I would be able to move the heavy pieces of furniture in the two rooms. With the other estimates I got, I was told I would have to move all furniture before they could begin. Ken, however, made me feel very comfortable and offered to move the heavy pieces for us. Not only did they do a beautiful job, but he came back three weeks later after we had the rooms painted to move the furniture back. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering refinishing their floors. He and his workers were very professional and a pleasure to do business with.

 + 0 moreDescription of Work: After finding Bantry floors on your site..I called him to come look at the floor in my family room. I felt it needed to be refinished in asmall area. The owner came over, looked at the floor and said...I can't work on the floor without refininshing the whole floor and the floor does not need to be touched! He was so professional and honest! He told me if I called another company...they would repair the small area and the floor would be ruined! He told me to leave it alone and I can surely say..that is exactly what I will do! If I ever have another floor issue there is no one else I would ever consider calling! He was wonderful and I am very relived! Yourangie's list never lets me down! I will never be withouty a membership! Thank you so much!

Description of Work: Tough man to reach, but the effort was worth it. Mr. Beale gave me good advice and his staff did a brilliant job of sanding -- truly dustless! -- and refinishing my living room hardwood floor. Also replaced a big section of damaged tiles. Work completed in 3 days and they were very careful around newly painted walls & woodwork.

 + 0 moreGot an estimate from Ken. He was very professional and punctual. The floors came out beautiful. He initially recommended to install new floors but based on my budget I decided to just refinish it. We had some stains on the previous floor and Ken was able to fix those issues.

 + 0 moreStuck to his estimate, showed up when promised and the job came out very well. Ken is a very easy person to work with who knows his stuff when it comes to floors. The "dustless" system they use is a world of improvement over the old sanders, but as I expected, there was a small amount of residue on nearby surfaces after the job was done.
Description of Work: Sanded and refinished hardwood floor in living room and stairs; installed new landing (I supplied most of the materials) and one new step.

 + 1 moreGreat. The floors look absolutely terrific - no complaints. Ken is a very approachable guy - easy to deal with and his team were very professional. He did recommend an extra coat of polyurethane during the job which we agreed to. All in all I have no problem recommending Ken and his team.
Description of Work: Living room, dining room, three medium sized bedrooms, and stairs were sanded down using a dustless system. Three coats of polyurethane applied. Ken and his team started on a Tuesday and finished on a Saturday morning. We were able to walk on the floors by Sunday night.

 + -1 moreHe really did do a great job. They put two coats of finish and they re-sanded including my steps, so that was really good. The price was very affordable, they weren't the cheapest but they weren't the most expensive either. The only concern I had was the clean up, and this is kind of normal with floors, they said there would be no dust but there was some dust, but nothing that was Earth shattering. The recommendation that I would give to people is if they say they're dustless its probably not true, what they should really do is have the people come back after they finish the floor. What happens is once they sand the floors then they go ahead and put on the polyurethane, but after they sand the floors they should really have the people dust right after they sand and before they put on the polyurethane.
Description of Work: Bantry Floors sanded and refinished my hardwood floors. It was about 2,500 sq. ft. including my steps.

 + -1 moreKen gave me an estimate in June, but because of unavoidable circumstances, I didn't have the work done till August. He was extremely accommodating, and gave me a very fair price. I wanted to strip and stain my parquet floors a darker color, but Ken insisted that they would be great with a natural stain. Boy was he right!!!! the floors look great. Ken told me he would be there on Tuesday but maybe Wednesday due to a prior job. Indeed his prior job was running over, but he called me on Monday, to let me know he'd be there on Wed. He held true to the estimate, and the work is outstanding.

 + 1 moreI had several estimates done for my floors. I chose Bantry Floors not only because of recommendations, but because from the start, I felt Ken had a mastery knowledge of his craft. Long story short, he inspired confidence. Upon starting the work he gave me a step by step time line and stuck to it. Everything he said he was going to do, he did. His workers were efficient, clean, courteous and treated my house with respect. I was extremely pleased with the results and with the price. What can I say, they did a great job and I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Two floors of wide plank 1840's pine and one floor of narrow oak, were sanded down, stained and sealed. They also removed carpeting and laid a new floor in one bedroom.

 + 0 moreIt all went smoothly, Ken, the owner came over and gave me a prompt, free estimate and he was very polite and helpful. The work was done quickly and efficiently with the minimum of mess. They knew I needed to move in quickly and put in the extra time to get the work finished. I did get a couple of other estimates, but they were very reasonable in comparison, plus had been recommended by many of my friends in the neighborhood. The floors look fabulous and we are very happy.
Description of Work: They sanded and refinished the hardwood floors in my whole house, 3 beds, living room & dining room. They also removed all the old carpets. They made some repairs and put in quarter round where necessary.

Description of Work: They re-sanded the hardwood floors in a large living room, long hallway and 3 average sized bedrooms. First they ripped out all of the old carpet.
