My neighbor had called Rich to remove a dead tree. She referred him to me. she quoted me the price which was decent. I called and the salesman gave me a much higher price. When I questioned the difference, he said they would need climbers because of the location. I also told him I wanted a stump left to make a table. The tree service did not use climbers, the trucks were brought to the site and they used the bucket. I told the foreman again to leave the trunk for a table, but he said it was bad at the ground, which was not the case. I then said okay leave it for firewood, but it was all taken to the curb. When they finished with mine and the neighbors he came to tell me the wood would be picked up on Monday (it was late Friday). I said okay,that I was cutting some for firewood. When I went out on Saturday, very early, they had already taken the wood. It had poured rain all night and was still raining. It was a good, green, Hickory Tree and I'm sure they had plans for the lumber. The trunk was straight and cut into long lengths. I called the company and told them the same as I have here, and they offered a load of wood, (which I had purchased already and didn't need) or $200.00 off. This was still much more than the neighbor was charged for a dead tree of approx. the same size. I learned to be specific in what you want done and stay with the workers to make sure you get it. They did do a good job of cleaning. One other thing, I had to remove a fence section and they were supposed to call me the day before but I didn't get a call and just happen to speak to the neighbor who enlightened me that they would be there the same day.

They did a great job overall; asked questions about which limbs needed to be cut back or removed entirely and even did a few extra limbs for free not mentioned in the contract. They maintained the integrity of the tree (no indiscriminate hacking back of brances!), cleaned everything up and left the property in better shape.

Rich Tree Service followed the written estimate listing the trees and tree branches to be removed. As the job progressed I was asked if the branches were removed correctly. I requested a few additional tree branched be removed, which was promptly done. I will use Rich Tree Service for any additional tree service needed.

Rich Tree Service is the best company I have worked with.The crew was great in all facets: customer service, sales, etc. The customer service reps that answer the phones are very polite and are sure to follow up with all the details. Charlie, he's the reason that I chose to work with this company. He went above and beyond with his work. I.e. Helping me with the steps to acquire a permit. He's the only one that have helped me with my permit out of all the people who provided me with an estimate. The crew was punctual, finished the job in a timely and neat manner. Charlie and his crew are true professionals, and their work is representative of said professionalism. In addition, their price is an outstanding value for the high caliber of work provided. You will receive five star work and service at a much lower price. I wish most companies are like Rich Tree Service. My mother-in-law have also used Charlie and his crew based on my rave reviews and she is also extremely pleased with their work. She made sure to refer them to her friends as well!

Rich Tree Service was top-notch - he was right on time, very professional and personable. He was the 2nd quote I got, and was willing to match the other quote, not to mention including other services not included in the 1st quote. I ended up going with the 1st only because the 1st was a company that was in my town, and the guy lived right around the block from me. But next time, I absolutely plan to use RTS.

This was a professional job provided by Rich and his crew. There are about 10 trees and numerous bushes surrounding the Church, and all were trimmed well. After the trimming, all debris were removed and the area completely cleaned up. We last had this done about 10 years ago, so the trees and bushes had grown such that you could not see the Church building very well, but afterwards many people remarked how visible it now is. A job well done!

The 6 person team did a great job and were able to finish all of the work in one day. They were professional, careful and nice men who made things look easy. We've already recommended them to other friends and neighbors and will definitely have them back to help us again in the future.

They removed two trees from a very difficult area of my back yard. All the work had to be done by hand. They also pruned 4 others. Everything was done in one day. The job went very smoothly and they were very professional. I would recommend them.

Wonderful. The best tree service we have ever used. They responded to our call promptly, showed up on time for both the estimate and actual day of service. The knowledge and professionalism of this team was first class. Afterwards, we went to clean up any debris and it was so clean we simply walked back into the house. We will definitely use them again.

Everything went very well. When I noticed some relatively minor and smaller branches that were not removed at first, they came the day after I called about it and immediately took care of it. On their first visit they took care of some large portions of the tree that were dead and had to be removed. The work they did made the tree look 100% better. They did everything they said they would do, they cleaned up after the work was done, they were punctual, professional and very responsive. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them without reservation.

We have had a number of trees removed from our property over the years, and Rich Tree Service was the best of the lot! Our only regret was that we didn't know about them for earlier yard projects. Everything about this service provider is top-notch! Rich Tree Service was a pleasure to deal with. For starters, they have office staff who answer the phone in real time, thus eliminating the telephone tag that occurs when the prospective customer tries to get in touch with them. The owner came out promptly to provide the estimate and to answer all of my questions. The work was scheduled and completed in a timely manner. The men who performed the work were polite and efficient. The tree that they took down was growing in a pie-wedged corner of our backyard that was very close to the fences of two neighbors' properties. The limbs came down without any contact with those fences.They were very skilled at pinpointing where they wanted each limb to fall. They were asked to not bring trucks or heavy machinery onto the property and they complied, even though that made the work more laborious for them. (This request was due to a previous experience with a different tree service who drove a dump truck onto the property that left deep ruts in the lawn that had to be filled in [by us] after they left.) When I had doubts about the stump grinder fitting through the gate into my backyard, the worker called the office and they sent someone out to supervise and assist with the tight squeeze through the gate. Both of those men were understanding of my concerns that the gate might be damaged... It wasn't damaged. And here's something we hadn't experienced with other tree services: They didn't ask for payment until they were assured that we were completely satisfied with their work. The office even made a follow-up phone call after the work was completed to be sure that we were satisfied. This was the best tree removal experience we have ever had!

Of the three services we contacted, Rich Tree Service was the only one that said he would remove the large stumps pulled out by the hurricane, not grind them, cut out other tall stumps and ground them out and trimed dead limbs from large trees. He gave us the best quote up front. Then they did it.

Nelson and Crew 3 did a fabulous job!! They showed up ahead of schedule and performed the work exactly as was detailed in the estimate. They were very neat and replaced all my flowerpots exactly how they were found. All the branches were placed in the chipper on the spot. Logs were hauled away.

I called and left a message on Friday 8/8/14. I can see from my caller ID that they did call on Monday 8/11/14 but did not leave a message and have not called back since to set up an appointment. I called them based on the reviews but I guess some fall through the cracks. I would have admired you if you would have admitted someone just made a mistake and didn't leave message or had the intention to try and call back and forgot, it happens. I don't appreciate the accusation, I seem to get every voice mail except this one so I doubt it was a problem with my voice mail. Either way, wouldn't it be a good business practice to call back in a few days to see if message was received and see if we were still interested in an estimate? I think most people would appreciate a response like this: Sorry, this seemed to have slipped through the crack. Let me make it up to you by coming right out and giving you an estimate. I will give you a call to set it up.

I have nothing but good things to see about Rich Tree Service. Great pricing, professional, punctual, etc. Would definitely use them again.

The job went very well . I had used Rich Tree Service for some work a few weeks ago. As a result of their excellent work (see review on that job), my neighbor contracted them to remove a 100 ft. dead maple close to the street. In order to accomplish this, the tree service needed to locate their equipment on my property. To allow proper access by the bucket truck and crane, to the dead maple, I needed to approve the removal of a 30 ft. dormant tree trunk from my property as well as temporary removal of my phone lines so that I did not lose any phone service. This was all laid out in detail by Charlie from Rich Tree Service. Charlie made sure that everything was in order before giving the go-ahead for the work. Once the work started, it required very precise coordination between Kevin of Rich Tree Service who was doing the cutting from the bucket and Rutherford Crane Service who directing the places to cut and where to tie the support.It was truly a sight to behold. There were nearby phone lines and power service lines that needed to be protected. Kevin and his crew as well as the crane operator made sure nothing bad happened. At the end of the job, the tree service crew cleaned up the whole area. As in the past, the tree service office staff was very professional in their communication with me. Overall, a job well done. The rep who showed up to do the estimate (Steve, I think if I remember correctly), was on time & very nice. He had no problem understanding what I wanted & gave me a detailed estimate. I tried getting an estimate from 2 other vendors (one on Angie's List) & they were not willing to budge from their strict estimate schedule & the other took 3 weeks to call me back, so we went with Rich Tree Service. The price seemed reasonable. The crew showed up first thing in the morningn on the scheduled day & they had given me 2 days notice like I had asked for. The guys were very organized & it took them the better part of the day as discussed during the estimate. I was busy in the house with my 19 month old twins as they packed up & they were almost ready to leave when I noticed that 2 large branches that were supposed to be taken down were still there. The guys came back & took them down. The head guy made some comment & it sort of sounded like he was suggesting that those 2 branches weren't part of the contract but they did it anyway. Those branches were definitely part of the contract, if there was a miscommunication it was between the rep who wrote up the work order & himself. Oh well. My husband has worked in contruction for 20+ years & he said that's par for the course. You would think he wouldn't say anything since I didn't say anything when the one tree limb snapped & hit my roof & the side of my house as it fell to the ground. Even with that, we would use them again in the future.

- All employees were punctual (arrived when they said they would). - All employees were professional, yet pleasant and easy to talk to and work with. - The guys pruning the trees arrived exactly when I was told they would arrive. They asked me how I would like the trees pruned and followed my limited instructions. Since they are the tree experts (not me) I also asked them to provide their thoughts on what should be done. They did a tremendous job on the trees. Additionally, I was very impressed with the clean-up following the job. The guys left the property in better condition than they found it. Additionally, due to some of the trees overhanging into my neighbors' yards, they cleaned any fallen debris from my neighbors yards and also left their yards in better condition than when they arrived. - I definitely recommend using Rich Tree Service. I know when I need any additional work done with my trees, I will definitely use them again. I only wish I had known about them when I had two huge trees uprooted and additional limbs down, including on my roof, as a result of Sandy.

The job went very well. From the initial visit and estimate by Charlie in sales to the actual work by Kevin and his crew, everything was handled very professionally. Charlie did a very detailed estimate of the work to be performed and was very accomodating when we made some changes to our original requirements. The office staff was also very professional in their communications with us. Kevin and his creww showed up on time. The job required access through our neighbors property and a last minute 'glitch' was handled very quickly. Overnight, a tree fell across our neighbor's driveway and Kevin and his crew took care of that with minimum delay. Access to our property required the removal of some flagstones across the rear of the property. This was done and the flagstones put back in their original position. Also, the tire tracks from the heavy bucket truck were repaired so that everything was in its original condition. The crew did a great job cleaning up after the job was completed. All in all, we were very pleased with the job from beginning to end.

Service was prompt and courteous. The crew was very efficient in removing a large locust tree from the back yard. They pruned dead branches from other trees in the rear and front yard. I used them before to remove a large half-dead juniper bush in the front yard. They had all the proper equipment, chippers, and took everything away. The stump grinder even managed to get into a pathway to the rear yard. They cleaned the rear yard of all existing dead wood debris. Based on that I would have given them an A but the price I thought was way expensive. The proposal included seeding the plot in the front where they removed the juniper bush but no grass ever grew until I had to call in a guy who does odd jobs to seed the area and the grass started growing in a week and a half. I also did not know when they remove a tree and grind the stump out, a large mound gets left which takes time to settle. Being this is our new home and summer is almost here where we would like to entertain in the back yard I have a huge mound that will take a while to grow any grass much less settle. I would use them again but they have to give me better pricing.

Rich Tree Service group Nelson 3, arrived on time. Confirmed with me the trees to be removed, safety gear on they positioned bucket truck and chipper and got to work. The three gentlemen made a very dangerous job look simple, within an hour they were finished, cleaned up the area and departed. I would definitely utilize this company again. I got a quick response to my request for a price quote. The job was scheduled/rescheduled for a weekday when I could observe the work. The work exceeded my expectations and the cleanup was very through. I highly recommend them.

They showed up on time for appointment to give estimate. Showed up on time to do the work. And cleaned up when they were done. I am very happy with the work and would use them again

We were very happy with the service. Rich's Tree Service cut the trees down in the back and brought them out front. They grinded down the one stump but unfortunately, they were not able to grind down the other due to the metal post growing in it. However, they did grind down another stump in the front instead. Considering the mess they must have made in the backyard, you would never know since they did a great job cleaning everything up. At the last minute, we asked if they could also remove all of the front shrubs and they did this as well including the grinding of the stumps. Then a second truck came later in the day to remove all the wood. The only thing we were not happy about is that they put the large tree pieces on top of the front lawn. We were worried there would be damage to the front yard but it wasn't as bad as we expected. We just had to touch up a couple of spots on the yard. Overall, we were happy with the service and would use the company again.

They arrived on time and did a fantastic job. The crew were amazing. They also went to our neighbors property and picked up any debris that went over the fence. I can't say how pleased that I am with the work that you did for us. Several of my neighbors asked about my provider and I gladly referred Rich Tree Service to them. Thanks so much!!
