The crew was prompt, extremely well organized and businesslike. The work was done quickly with team coordination that was a joy to watch. Their cleanup was thorough and the yard was not damaged.

Some problems but promptly and completely resolved. Reasonable price and excellent follow-up. Personnel a pleasure to work with. Would definitely hire again.

Excellent. They showed up early. There happened to be a car parked under the tree so it delayed the start. They came back same day once car was moved and did a great job cutting down tree. Fast and clean.

The services provided by Rich Tree Service has always been excellent and their crews professional and helpful. The job site is always safe and clean as well as attentive to issues that may not have been originally addressed on the proposal. I have worked with Charlie for several years now and he is extremely responsive and easy to work with whether it is a job for $200 or $3,000. Very few companies out there that still operate with the customer in mind and Rich is one of those.

Everyone was very polite and helpful from the office to the work crew. The crew worked very hard, was very competent and cleaned up the yard nicely. We will use Rich Tree Service again in the spring to trim a large evergreen.

Rich stopped by early January to get the details of our work. He patiently guided us on what should be done and what is considered as gold platting. The price was reasonable as comparatively lower than the other quotes we had received. RIch's team arrived on the day and time as promised. They went through with us what they were planning to do - we loved this. We had already done all the planning and designing with Rich, but this was a confirmation that the team understood it as well. They did a good job trimming the Willow tree, the Japanese maple, and the cherry blossom. The trees are ready to flower back on and it really looks great. I would gladly use Rich Tree Service again and would recommend them.

We were very satisfied with Rich Tree Service. They were professional and did an excellent job of cutting down a large tree and cleaning up.

Cory was our estimator, a great guy. He is very knowledgeable about trees and really listen to you on how you would like to trim/cut the trees. However, their contractors did an okay job. Cory end up had to come back to our place and trim more branches for us. Thankfully he has skills and did all work by himself. He didn't have to do that and yet he wanted to provide the best service to his customers. Just be sure Cory is there when the contractors is on the site

Rich was very pleasant to work with. Of three estimates, his was the lowest by about (others were $450 and $500). His crew were friendly, communicative, polite, and did a good job of cleaning up. Two posts on my neighbor's wood fence were cracked by a falling branch and I observed the crew supervisor looking at it but he didn't say anything to me about it, which was a little disappointing.

A bit of a confusion at the beginning when scheduling a consultation but the guy came and explained everything included in the estimate. The crew did a great job, very fast, friendly and punctual. They also did a great job cleaning up. Overall, everyone was friendly and the service was great.

An estimate was requested for pruning of trees, shrubs and bushes on our entire property which is heavily landscaped. Charlie arrived and was not a very friendly guy. No enthusiasm. The ENTIRE time we walked the property he was checking messages on his phone...to the point where I wasn't sure he was listening at all to what I was saying. Also, he didn't know the names of many of our plantings. He also wasn't sure of how he could prune some of the trees without bringing a big piece of machinery into the yard. The estimate was promptly sent to us and it was a fair price. I don't know how the job would have eventually turned out, but we did not hire them because of the salesman they sent to us. I let the company know about the experience. We hired another company which was a little more costly because of the excellent salesman they sent who knew the names of every tree and how to prune them.

This was a positive experience, from start to finish. Rich did a thorough analysis of my needs when he came out to give me an estimate, and even pointed out a large dead branch I hadn't noticed. He also applied a discount I wasn't aware of! The crew arrived today right on time. The foreman, Henry Salazar, walked through the job with me, and as they were working I felt very comfortable coming out to observe and speak with him about details. I felt that he was being very thoughtful about the finer work and how it affected the look of each tree. As an aside, we talked for a few moments about my vegetable and flower gardens, and his appreciation made me feel like this was a guy who was well-suited to his job. For the more demanding trimming of my redbud, Sal (who I understand to be the company's super-experienced "tree guy") came out to work on this part of the job. The natural shape and growth pattern of this tree, and its prominent location in my yard, had me nervous about how a tree service would trim it. But I am absolutely delighted with the job Sal did. Finally, the crew did a complete clean-up -- right down to raking and removing the leaf litter. Aside from the much-improved look of my trees, you wouldn't even know they had been here.

Rich Tree Service was great from quote to completion of project. Professional, hard-working, fair price and beautiful clean up. We were extremely pleased with their service and will absolutely call on them again.

After Sandy storm, we decided to remove 5 trees in our backyard close to our house. I got a quote from a number of companies and decided to go for Rich Tree Service based on the reviews here and from our friends, even though the price is not the best among all the quotes. They came early on time to remove the trees. They were very professional. The stumps were removed a few days later. However, when I checked the removed stumps, some were still there so I called them to ask for COMPLETE removal of the stumps. They did come after a few days in my absence (I didn't know they came though I asked for notification when they came). This time all the stumps were removed with several piles of wood chips. In general, they are good and professional. I will use them again.

Rich was very punctual in providing an estimate. Clearly explained what they would do. Did the work the day after a Public Service marked the gas & electric. They underestimated the amount of chipping so they had to come back the next day. They did a great job. Cleaned up very well. I would definitely use them again.

The guys that came were very professional, they listened to exactly how i wanted the tree trimmed, as this was my neighbors tree hanging over my pool. Under this tree where sheds, a fence, and a pool.They show great respect in protecting both properties. When they were done not only did the tree look great, but also the clean up was fantastic. Due to heavy winds our 100 year old maple tree had become extremely dangerous loosing branches and leaving a large branch barely hanging on and about to fall onto our garage, back fence and walkway. We called Rich Tree Service over the Easter weekend, found them through Angie's list. They called first thing Monday morning and sent Sal over immediately to assess the tree. Sal was extremely professional and recognized the urgency of the situation. After discussing options and price we decided to remove the entire tree as it was starting to rot and had severe damage. Sal called a team he had at another site which would be complete later that day. He arranged to have them come to our house straight from the other job. Sal followed up with me over the morning with an update on when the crew would arrive. The crew got to our house at 1:45. Ryan and his crew were professional and courteous and took care of our property while removing this 80+ foot tree. They made sure to clean up the area and our driveway. They had completed the tree removal by 4:30 and said someone would be out in a day or 2 to remove the large logs and grind the stump. Wednesday morning they came and removed the logs and grind the stump. Again the guy was very professional and attentive of our property. It was a pleasure dealing with this company from the woman who first answered the call to the crew that did the work. I highly recommend Rich Tree Service. We plan on using them again as we plan on removing some other tree's in the near future.

We had two large trees on the left side of our house that were looming over our roof and constantly dropping those spiky gum-balls everywhere. While it hurt me to have someone cut the trees down, they unfortunately had to go for the safety of our house - they were too big, too close, and our roof would get pummeled with branches whenever it rained. Rich Tree Service was very fast with getting back to us, giving us a quote, and getting the work done. There was a bit of delay (on my part) between the quote and me giving the okay to start the work. I had tried on my own to talk to people at my town to figure out if a permit was needed - I failed at that somehow, and was unable to find someone who could give me a good answer. I called up Rich Tree Service again to see if they could help. Within a few hours, they had gotten the required information. Lesson learned: Leave it to the pros, save yourself time and headaches. Once it came time to do the work, they got here right on time and knew exactly what to do. The work was all done skillfully and as described.

Rich is a great guy, we actually hired him twice since recently moving in, as our property was moderately wooded with many dead and dangerous tall trees, as well as remaining trees in great need of pruning and deadwood removal. Each time that we had Rich's crew come out, his entire efficient crew was finished in one full day, and left the property completely clean. The stump grinding crew would come out a few days later. Rich did not bill us until the work was completed, and did not require payment until we were completely satisfied. If we called him even after his crews had departed, he would have them come back to address any remaining issues. Our Boro requires a permit prior to tree removal, and he was able to take care of that on our behalf (at small extra charge), which really helped with my busy schedule. He has a courteous office staff, readily available to handle questions and calls. Great work and excellent experience overall, my highest recommendation! We look forward to calling you once again to remove the large old shrubs when we renovate our landscaping.

Didn't receive a call when the crew didn't show up as scheduled, called them rescheduled for the next day, they were right on time. Ground was soft and there were several depressions from the out rigging of the truck wished they had used more blocking. Yard was left very clean.

This is the second time I have used Rich's Tree Service. During the site visit, the rep. identified additional possible tree trimming that should be done; but stated that it could wait until next spring/summer.The price was very competitive; the services were excellent!!! They were extremely careful to not allow any damage to a large shed that was right next to the large maple tree that had to be removed, and had very large limbs over the top of the shed. Did an excellent job of removing the stumps and cleaning up around all of the work areas. Would absolutely use them again as needed.
