They were excellent. They were very fair. A lot of people are being listed often, and if he hadn't given me a good price then I would have not accepted it. I reported them on Monday, and they came by Wednesday. They are very good. They were right with the promptness. They came out not the next day, but the day after. The workers were quick. They knew exactly what they were doing. They did clean up after themselves, which is important to me. They cleaned up any debris left on the lawn and in the driveway.

Responses to my calls are prompt, usually same or next day. Services are always handled professionally and exactly as quoted. In emergencies, Rich Tree Service, has responded and performed service in less than 24 hrs. I highly recommend this company and will use them for all of my future tree work to be done.

I got them from Angie's List. I did not have the stump removed but had the tree itself cut down to the ground and they removed everything. One branch fell and the other one did not as it hung up. I had determined that the tree itself was now going to be off balance and was starting to rot. I have used them twice. I used them for the first time in September 2009. When I used them the first time, it was basically to have the trees in my yard trimmed out because I was having some work done on my house like roofing and siding. Their quote was fair and reasonable. The work was done exactly as described. They cleaned up perfectly. There were no hassles, no strain and no pain. I spent $1050 during their first visit as they took down a tree and trimmed back the five other large oak trees. I did not shop them but hired them the second time based upon the scope of their work during the first time. I told them that without any hesitation. They were not the cheapest but their price seemed very reasonable for what I asked them to do without having to shop around. They were right on time. They came when they said that they would and there was no problem. I hopefully don't have to use them the third time but I would if I have to.

They came as scheduled and finished the job on time. They did a good job and I will continue to use their services in future.

Everything went great. I have used this company two times before in the past. I really feel like this company was charging a little high compared to their competition.

I called the company and received a call back the same day to schedule an appointment. The gentleman came out to survey the work and gave me an estimate before he left. He was extremely knowledgeable and reasonable. I had wanted one tree taken down, and he said they could prune it first and then I should make the decision. I am so glad I didn't have it removed because it turned out to be beautiful once pruned, and now I have the perfect spot to hang a hammock for my grandchildren! They scheduled the work for the end of the week and came a day sooner since they had completed a job earlier in the vicinity. All workers were very pleasant and efficient. The foreman took me around to show me the work before they left for the day, and they returned early the next morning to finish. The work was completed before 11 AM. We were all waving goodbye from the front porch as they left. You can't get better than that!

Overall, it went very well. They were very easy to do business with. The lady on the phone was very nice. They were prompt. They had all the good things that you would look forward. They were very good and I remember that their price was very reasonable. I am thinking of calling them again.

Between the Spring/Winter storms and the Summer drought, many trees on my property we damaged or had died. I requested estimates from a number of Tree Service Companies. Some companies never showed up, others never responded after promising estimates. I finally decided to confine my seach solely to referrals and Angies List Contractors. The job was to have approximately twenty 20- 25' evergreen trees cut down and removed; in addition there were a few diseased "hard wood" trees to be cut down. I also wanted to have all of the stumps ground. Of the four quotes that I received, Rich's was not the lowest. When I called the representative, we agreed to a price that was lower than his original estimate, but not quite at that of the lowest bidder. I signed the contract and two weeks later a crew of 3 people arrived. One man cut down the trees and three others moved the debris into the chipper. The next day another worker arrived and used a sef propelled robotic grinder to grind down the stumps. All workers were exceptionally pleasant and very professional. Because of their expertise and the quality of the equipment, the entire job took less than 1/2 day. On both days, the property was raked and all debis was removed. I was extremely pleased with the work and plan upon using this company when I have tree work needs in the future.

We called to make an appointment for an estimate to have trees pruned. They did not show up. We called to see if they were indeed coming and we were told we were not even down for an estimate at all. We wont deal with a company that is so innacurate on times for appointments- very annoying.

Rich was prompt, courteous, and very responsive to my concerns about not pruning back too much.

Rich Tree was very responsive to our inquiry, and provided a quote for the service requested. Once the service was scheduled, Rich Tree was punctual and arrived at our home as stated. They completed the job quickly, and per the estimate. Overall, it was a great experience. I would not hesitate to use them again or refer a friend.

They are very professional and the guy who came to work did a really great job assessing things. He clearly knew a lot about trees and was very interested in making sure that you got the right kind of thing done for the trees. He did a very thorough assessment and there was a good follow up. He did a great job.

Representative arrived on time, very nice, professional, and fair - drew up a contract, sent us a quote about a week later. Unfortunately, the representative later communicated something different to the non-english-speaking laborers, who cut down a very old tree we had been nursing for several years, just as I arrived home from work. The contract clearly stated to remove vines from the tree, not cut it down. A follow phone call to the rep revealed that he had given instructions to cut the tree down, against what was in the contract. Kudos to him for honestly admitting to a mistake, which seems to be becoming rarer and rarer. Though an ancient tree can't be replaced, the company gave us two small saplings of the same variety after a full stump removal of the old, and the new trees are in excellent health. Everyone makes mistakes, and a huge effort was made on their part to make it right,.....because of this we will use them again, and I give a hearty recommendation to use this service. Final advice: be there on the day the work is done, and remain watching the work until they are finished. Actual workers do not speak english.

The project went very well! I received a phone call the same day I contacted them for an estimate. The supervisor came out for the bid, and provided the written quote before he left the property. I faxed him the contract the following day (after 1 or 2 revisions). His crew was out the following week and were very cordial and friendly. They also did a wonderful job of cleaning up after themselves! I couldn?t have asked for a better experience! I would highly recommend Rich?s Tree Service.

The estimate given was what I paid, even though the service did more pruning than I requested. I originally asked only for pruning of dead branches and two low-hanging branches over the driveway. The service also thinned some of the higher foliage, I assume to allow more light to the lower branches. The service carted away the pruned branches and left no debris. The communication from the service was timely and professional.

The tree limb just came down on it's own, but was still partially attached to the tree, so I was worried about it coming down the rest of the way and hitting either part of my house or someone going by on the street. I called four different services, including a tree/landscaping service I have used regularly, and even called their emergency number. One service never called me back, one couldn't do the work until at least the next day, my (formerly) usual service didn't even call back until almost 36 hours after I called their emergency number. But Rich's called me back promptly, said they would send someone to look at it. Their representative arrived within about an hour to evaluate the limb. He did assure me it wasn't likely to come down on its own, so presented no immediate danger. But he still scheduled a crew to come out and take it down within about 4 hours. They arrived at the promised time, had the limb down, ground up and the area cleaned up, all in less than 30 minutes. I'll definitely use them again for regular service.

Overall, I had an excellent experience. The reason I gave them a "B" for Responsiveness was I did not receive a phone call from them in a timely manner after they had come to give me the written estimate. But as soon as I called them (two weeks later), they returned my call with a service date. I was not at home when they did the job. When I returned from work I was amazed at the results. This is the first tree company that actually cut a substantial amount of branches. My property looked very neat and clean. A few weeks later, I saw Rich Tree Service working for another family on my block. I would like to think it was due to the wonderful job they did on my property because this company is not located close to home.

I contact the company on Thursday July 29, 2010 and arranged for them to come out and give us an estimate on getting an oak tree pruned. The secretary left two messages on my answering machine confirming date and time. They were supposed to come on Monday July 2, at 11:00. My husband was home and waited until 1:00, no one showed up or called. I waited a day to see if someone would call and explain, no one did so on Wednesday I called and spoke to the secretary, after some confusion on her part she said Charlie was supposed to come that day and wasn't in right now, she would have to look have him call me. I told her I wasn't interested anymore and she said okay.

They were phenomenal. They were the best one I got for estimates. I got multiple estimates and apparently people think they can charge whatever they want when there are emergencies like this. I got astronomical fees. Everything from the estimator to the guys that came out to do the work was phenomenal. I was so glad that I found him and so was my husband. The estimate was terrific and they came out the end of March to do the estimate. They came at 8:15 am when they were supposed to. They worked very hard. They took a 20-minute break for lunch and at 4:15 that afternoon they had 5 trees down and it was all cleaned up. It was incredible. It came in exactly where they said it was going to and there were no extra charges. They went above and beyond what I expected to get. I wanted them to leave the trees and they piled them very neatly. They did more than they said they were going to do. Everything was perfect. The price was excellent.

After an initial contact delay due to malfunctioning e-mail program, a supervisor came as scheduled and discussed the job and prepared a detailed estimate. Eventually the job was scheduled. Some problem in communication by workers trying to understand typed and apparently abbreviated description of tasks to be performed. Required my discussion with them. They were very friendly and cooperative. Accomplished the job in about two hours. Workers were excellent. Left yard broom clean. Busy season required a two week wait for them to schedule the work. I was impressed with their equipment and their ability to climb these enormous trees and get trimming job accomplished expeditiously.
