Scheduled estimate for 6:30 pm which was after hours fro the company but the only time I'd be at home. Alan showed up on schedule. Very professional, wearing a jacket with the company logo. We went around the properly and I showed him what I wanted done; he also suggested other trees that could be removed because they were unhealthy or poorly located. After that he prepared an estimate on the spot describing the service to be done (which included cutting the trees and grinding the stomps). He applied discounts (Angie's list coupon) and additional discount for efficiencies associated to doing all trees at once. Total discount was about 450.00.To contract the service I just had to sign the estimate and fax back to the office. They said they could do the work in 2.5 weeks which was ok for me.Day after Memorial Day they called early in the morning and said they could do the work that very same day since other work had been cancelled because of the weather.Crew showed up ready to go, all properly identified with the company logo. They brought their own equipment. I went around with the foreman to confirm the work to be done and during the inspection they indicated a couple more trees that could be removed; they removed them for no additional cost.They did the work in a very professional manner, with no damage to the lawn or other parts of the property. After the job they cleaned some of the wood chips which was not in the contract. Finished all trees on the same day.Overall I think they went above and beyond our agreement and did an excellent job. Planning to use them again for additional tree work in the near future.

The entire experience from the first phone call to final invoice payment was handled in a very professional manner. On the first appointment, the sales person, Allen, arrived on time and gave us a written estimate. We requested a second estimate as we changed the scope of the work to be done, and he again came on time and gave us a detailed itemized estimate. The work was scheduled but could not start on scheduled day due to heavy rain. Rich tree service kept us informed and promptly rescheduled the service for the following day. The crew arrived on time, confirmed the scope of work, and started work. The crew seemed experienced and well trained. Work was finished by the end of the day, except stump grinding that was completed two days later. All clean-up was done professionally. Allen visited twice during the day to monitor the progress, once during the middle of the day and once near the end of the day. At the end of the day, Allen and I walked the property to inspect the work. During the walk through, we noted that the chimney cap had shifted, perhaps from a branch that had touched it during the cutting process. Allen promptly climbed the ladder and fixed the chimney cap. Allen was friendly, knowledgeable, and punctual. The service price was not cheap, but fair. All in all, I would highly recommend Rich Tree Service. I know they will be back in my yard in another 2-3 years, as my property has many more trees that will need to be serviced.

.They are excellent. I would give them all A's. He was $200 cheaper then everyone else. He also went above and beyond what was stated on the contract for no extra charge. Like instead of just taking off one branch they cleaned up the whole tree.

Work was done quickly. Workman cleaned area nicely.

I called them initially, and then had to call them back. They are backed up, but they are worth the wait. They were very nice, professional, and communicated well. After they were done, they cleaned up and were willing to work with my schedule.

I contacted Rich Tree Service for an estimate to remove some tree branches in my front yard, along with some long branches in my back yard. A rep came out promptly, (I can't recall his name, but he was prompt and friendly). He gave me a written estimate on the spot, and after a week or so, I called to have the work performed. I came home today to find the work had been performed to my utmost satisfaction. The trees were trimmed exactly as I had asked, and the branches that they took down, along with a steadily growing pile of older branches were taken away and chipped. My only slight quibble was that they were supposed to call the day before arriving and didn't, but no biggie. Highly recommended!

The contact person was very prompt and polite. He was very professional. The price was very similar to the company I eventually went with, but they do not own the crane that was needed. They would have had to lease the crane from someday. They may have had to lease other equipment as well, I'm not sure. For a big tree like that, they did not tell me that the damage to my yard would be much less with a crane. My guess is that they would probably do the job as well as the company I chose, but they just didn't have the crane.

It went off very well and they performed incredibly well.

Crew arrived and was shown location of the trees to be taken down. Crew proceeded to remove trees expediously. Crew finished removal process, and left area in proper shape. Was very satisfied with the entire process from estimate to removal.

He was on time, professional, and took his time to explain everything to me.

What made this particular job so challenging is the fact that at least 4 of the trees had branches intertwined with power lines so they had to be cut very carefully with almost surgical precision. A few of the trees were also very close to the side of the house, so there wasn't too much room to work. The team handled this flawlessly. The next challenge was getting the heavy equipment to the back of my property in order to cut down the trees on that side of the house. They had to navigate a huge truck between the side of my house and the edge of the property line. The property sits on a hill and is quite uneven in some spots, but the team managed this (much to my surprise) with no difficulty whatsoever. The job actually required them to come back the next day, but they completed everything as agreed. The team was prompt, professional and everything was cleaned up after the job was finished. I am still amazed at how they were able to navigate the huge truck and other equipment they had into the very limited space available to complete the job to the specifications. On top of all of this; the price was great considering the amount of work that was done.

They were very affordable. They were very nice and showed up on time for the appointment.

They were great. The price was alot less than the other companies. The service was very good. The crew did a wonderful job and did more than what I paid for. When my wife saw it she was shocked as she didn't think it would be that good. They paid attention to detail, were polite and were the best tree removers I ever hired. Folks, this is the company to hire without any reservations.

WE KNEW THAT WE NEEDED HELP FROM A TREE SERVICE OUTFIT TO REPAIR THE STORM DAMAGE. SO, WE WENT TO ANGIE'S WEBSITE. WE CALLED UP RICH TREE SERVICE WHOM WE FOUND TO BE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS, CONCERNED, AND NICE ON THE TELEPHONE. A FRIENDLY MICHELLE ASSURED US THAT A REP WOULD CONTACT US RIGHT AWAY, THE FIRST OPPORTUNITY THAT HE GOT SINCE QUITE A NUMBER OF PEOPLE HAD BEEN AFFECTED BY THE DAMAGE CAUSED BY NATURE. ALAN MILSTEIN GOT IN TOUCH WITH US IMMEDIATELY AFTER THAT. HE WAS VERY CORDIAL ON THE PHONE. AND SO HE CAME OUT, MET WITH US AND WE SHOWED HIM THE DISASTER. HE TOLD US THAT HE COULD DO ALL THE WORK AND WROTE DOWN COPIOUS NOTES WHILE EXPLAINING THE TASKS TO BE DONE. HE TOOK HIS TIME THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS AND DID NOT SEEM AT ALL TO WANT TO HURRY UP AND LEAVE. AFTERWARDS, HE TOLD US THAT HE WOULD RETURN TO HIS AUTO PARKED IN FRONT OF OUR HOUSE AND WRITE UP HIS ESTIMATE. WHEN HE RETURNED, WE ALL SAT DOWN IN THE LIVING ROOM. HE WENT OVER ALL THE WORK REQUIRED AND THE PRICE. MY WIFE AND I SAW ALL THE WORK THAT WAS DESCRIBED IN NEATLY PRINTED HANDWRITING AND WE LIKED WHAT WE SAW RIGHT AWAY. WE THOUGHT, WOW, THIS IS NOT BAD!! ALAN PUT NO PRESSURE ON US AND TOLD US THAT IF WE ACCEPTED THEY COULD COME OUT AFTER THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY AND PERFORM THE ENTIRE JOB IN TWO DIFFERENT DAYS SINCE THE WORK WAS EXTENSIVE AND HE COULD THEN ASSIGN A LARGER CREW. WE GLADLY ACCEPTED RIGHT AWAY TO GO WITH RICH TREE SERVICE. OTHERS HAD LOOKED AT THE JOB BUT SEEMED DISCOURAGED AND WOULD MUTTER THAT "IT WAS A LOT OF WORK." ALL THE WORK WAS COMPLETED AS PROMISED; WE NEVER HAD TO CALL THEM AND CHASE THEM AROUND. THE TOUGH-WORKING CREW LED BY A WELL-MANNERED RYAN DID AN AWSOME JOB AND LEFT THE PLACE SUPERBLY CLEAN AND LOOKING JUST FANTASTIC. UNLIKE OTHER CONTRACTORS/PROVIDERS, ALAN STATED FROM THE BEGINNING THAT THEY DID NOT ACCEPT PAYMENT UNTIL THE WORK WAS COMPLETED TO OUR SATISFACTION. SO, THAT WAS JUST THE WAY IT HAPPENED. ARE WE SATISFIED WITH AND RECOMMEND THE COMPANY? A RESOUNDING HECK YES!

After getting several estimates and checking references, I signed a contract with Rich Tree Service in early October to remove a dead oak tree by my driveway. At the outset everything seemed fine. They called me to set up a date to do the work. We agreed on a date at the end of October after I was to return from a trip. When i returned, I called them and got no return calls during November and most of December until they appeared out of the blue on Dec 22. They did a neat job of taking down the tree but they did not grind the stump as the contract called for. The day after the tree was removed they called and asked if i was satisfied with the job to which I said no because the stump was still there. At first they said that they would charge me an additional $200 even tough the contract clearly said that the stump removal was included in the original price. Eventually they called back and said that they made a mistake and would grind the stump which they did the next day. This time I called them and asked them why they did not remove the wood chips left from the stump grinding to which they responded that that was extra but it would be cheaper to get my landscaper to do it. This was my first experience with having a tree removed and I learned a lot. It will also be the last time that I use Rich Tree Service.

The job was perfect. They were excellent, the work and clean up stood out to me. It's like they weren't even here. They were really careful about not damaging other stuff while they were here - they were just really good and I'd highly recommend them. They got back to me immediately and they are reasonable, too. I absolutely planning to use them in the future.

They were excellent. Their price was lower than anybody, and the job they did was really good. I paid close to $400, and it was about $150 less than another provider that I contacted; their price was good. Even after they did the job, and I was not satisfied, they accommodated my request. The quality of their work was excellent. They were highly rated on Angie’s List. I would rate them highly and would definitely use them again in the future.

I had a large portion of a very large tree fall onto my house during the ice/snow storm of Oct. 29. I called several tree services to get estimates for removal and clean up. Most services said it would take more than a week just to do an estimate due to the sheer volume of calls. However, Alan from Rich Tree Service called me back the very next day, came to my home and gave an estimate. He was very courteous, professional and thorough. The estimate was reasonable so we scheduled the job for that Saturday. The crew arrived promptly first thing Saturday morning (Nov. 5). They were courteous and friendly and got to work immediately. They removed the portion of the tree against the house, and all the related debris caused by the storm. After they finished the job, the yard looked pristine - like nothing happened. I can't say enough about the great job Rich Tree Service did! A professional and courteous operation from beginning to end. Highly recommended!

I found them on Angie's List. They are the top rated company in our area. I'm actually trying to contact them again to have some more work done. They seem to be what they advertise and there were no disappointments or anything like that. They seemed very responsive. There wasn't anything that I can think of it wasn't as we expected.

They were excellent. They were competitive with their price and they actually met a price. They were half the price of another company. They were on time and cleaned up. They were great. They were really neat and clean. They were professional and had good follow through. They were responsive at times and not so responsive at other times. I would definitely use them again.

There were a lot of trees backlogged because of the heavy rain, so they said it would be a couple weeks before they could get to me. They were very courteous when I called. There were two times when somebody was supposed to come, and they did come. I was watching for them, but we never met. It was a little frustrating because I would rather talk to people in person. The estimate was very clear to understand.
