It went very well. The first gentleman that came to our house to give us an estimate was very professional. We had three issues we needed help with, the stump removal and two large maples that need pruning. The gentleman, whose names escapes me, gave us a lot of information. He also left us with three quotes. The rates quoted were excellent. We had the stump done right away and we are waiting till the leaves fall off for the tree pruning. The stump removal went very well. The workman arrived as promised and everything went well. We received a handwritten thank you note and we look forward to doing business with them again.

I needed an afternoon time and they were very accommodating. Two workers showed up and explained everything they were going to do before they did it. My neighbors were very upset that I was cutting back the tree from my property. The workers made sure I was satisfied with how much they were cutting back in spite of the intimidating glares from the other side of the fence. After they were finished all of the cutting and trimming, they cleaned up everything, including the leaves. I am so happy I hired them! They were very pleasant and professional from answering the phone through the clean up. I will definitely recommend to my friends.

Call but no one answered. Left message. Call second time after few days and left message again. Waited three days finally someone replied and scheduled an appointment for estimate. I almost gave up with this company since I already had two others came for estimates. Alan showed up on time as scheduled. He wrote very detail estimate which tress needed to be pruned and what should be done. The price is very competitive though not the cheapest. Alan knows every single type of the trees on my property. Because I have several projects needed to be done and the trees must be trimmed before other jobs could start, I need the tree trimmed within the week. Alan is very nice to work with my schedule and promise to come weather permitted. On the day the job started, they came very early with 3-man-crew lead by Nelson. They walk around with me and I show them what need to be done according to the contract. They are truly professional. Took their time to trim/prune the trees and careful not to damage anything. They clean up thoroughly and no debris were left behind. I'm very happy with their work and now I have a new, open backyard I love. I would definitely recommend my neighbors and friends if they need tree service. Maybe they just need to hire few more people to take phone calls and I'll not hesitate to give them 5 star service company. Overall it worth the wait and this company knows what they are doing, great job.

Here's how it went... They scheduled an estimate right away, I saw their credentials and other reviews on Angies list and when I got the estimate I was very pleased. They got to me 4 days later and did a great job. They were so quick. They needed to go in my neighbors yard (I cleared it with her first) and left both our properties clean. As I said these trees were in a tight spot and they were tall, these guys made quick neat work of them. Everything was chipped and carted away. I will use these guys again. Pros!!

They were fantastic and less than half the price. They were extremely professional, timely and courteous.

Very good customer serivce. Person providing the estimate was timely and thorough. Listened and made recommendations. Had a slight miscommunication between what was said and what was on the written estimate. Work was completed very timely, with great cleanup. Even my neighbors were impressed with the cleanup efforts. Would use again.

They came and gave an estimate. I received 3 other estimates and they had the best price for all the work that had to be done. They did it in the timeframe that I needed and it looks great. I would use them again.

Team of four spent three hours pruning and shaping trees to meet my needs. Team was experienced, professional, and very accommodating. They did a great job cleaning up afterwards. Overall, very happy with service and would not hesitate to do business with them again.

Keith came out to provide a free estimate shortly after I called. He was very thorough and the bid was well below what I expected based on prior work at our last house. When we were ready for them to come out I emailed and customer service called me to set up a date/time. The crew arrived early and waited until I came out of the house to let them know it was ok to start sooner than the scheduled time. The lead member asked me to walk around the house and confirm the work to be performed using the bid sheet written up by Keith. Several times during the morning he asked for clarification and provided recommendations on how much to cut, etc. Given the inherent risk of the job I was glad to see that they were taking safety precautions (hearing protection, safety lines, stabilizer arms for the truck, using hand-held saws near the electric wires). They were careful in positioning the trucks to avoid running over the grass. One member of the crew followed them around cleaning up the limbs and blowing away the shavings. They left the yard and driveway completely clear of debris.

He was quick, and clean. His price is reasonable. The workers were nice and pleasant. They did a really nice job.

Didn't go so well. All five trees were removed successfully and in a timely manner but all of the wood chips/ grindings were not removed. It was my understanding that all parts of the trees would be removed but I was informed after the fact that wasn't part of the contract and that would be an additional $350-400. In the contract I read "Remove trees, grind stumps and mulched bed" to mean that the trees, stumps, and mulch would be removed but apparently I was mistaken. No where did it say "we will leave you with a 5 foot high pile of debris", so i just assumed it would be removed. The other quote i received from another tree service included grinding removal, so i assumed the was a standard practice that would be provided to the customer, particularly for a large job like this. I had a favorable view of Alan, the" tree expert" that gave me the quote and was one of the reasons that I chose Rich Tree service but in the end, I feel like i was deceived. On a positive note, I did appreciate the company leaving me some firewood from the oak that we had removed. Additionally, a few days later i noticed that part of the lawn was ripped up in a few small spots as well as 2 large burned areas (2 ft x 2 ft) left from some of the equipment. I will avoid using Rich Tree Service in the future.

Reliable, were on time, professional, and did good work. And had a reasonable price.

This was an incredibly unprofessional job, which is too bad because I'd used Rich before and now will NEVER use them again. Much too expensive to risk getting the service I did. Arrangement was for a Saturday job, to arrive after noon (phone call from Rich the day previous). I needed to be home to get the dogs inside the house. The crew arrived unannounced at 9:30am - and they were lucky I was home, because I also had to move the cars in the driveway. Certainly, they should have checked to see if I was home and available - if I hadn't been, they wouldn't have been able to do the work and I would have had to reschedule. The crew chief asked if they could remove the rails from a section of post and rail fence next to the driveway, in order to get the equipment closer to the site. That was fine with me - until I looked out the window and saw the oldest man in the crew dislodging the POST from its place to make it easier to get the rails out. Ran outside to get them to stop, but too late. The fence was already weakened. The crew chief promised he'd fix it before he left. I went out to run errands, returned after they had finished only to find that: all the patio furniture they'd moved for better access was still in heaps in the garage; a large paver in a path they had apparently used was pulled up and left leaning against the doghouse, which they'd also moved and not put back; the birdfeeders had been pulled up and were leaning against a tree; a 3ftx3ft patch of grass right by the path had been destroyed; the crew had discarded their empty water bottles at the side of the garage. The post was secure, but I had no idea how it had been fixed (little wood shims would disintegrate and I'd be left with an insecure post again). Of course, the bill arrived Monday morning. I took photos, called Rich Tree Service and got a call back on Monday. The lady with whom I spoke took down my information - and then it took 5 DAYS for someone to look at the photos, learn the story, and call back. Apologies, some grass seed, rocks put in place of the wood shims, which had indeed been used. Absolutely horrible service, and much too expensive to end up with the service I got.

I tried to use them a few months ago. They were very wonderful when they came out. The person was personable, professional, and gave me a nice quote. The estimator was great, but I had a couple of other people come out and I scheduled the job with Rich's. They told me that they would get back with me in a week or so, but it was like two or three weeks. They didn't get back to me so then I called them. We set up a time for them and they told me that they could come on Saturday, which I wasn't thrilled about but said it was fine. They never showed up. I called the office at about 11:00 on a Saturday and said, "Guys if you're running behind or you don't think you're going to make it could you please let me know because I'm sitting here waiting and I don't want to do that if you're not going to make it. We could reschedule" They never called me back. They also never called me back on Monday to explain themselves and so on Tuesday I called them and said that we're cancelling it because of the situation. At that point a woman did call me back from their company very apologetic the next day. She asked if I could please give her a call and that they would reschedule me right away, but by that time I was so angry I had already called somebody else. Now Rich's has a good reputation, but in my experience something happened. They were responsive and came the next day for the estimate which was fine, but they just never showed up. I would be very reluctant to call them for another estimate because of my experience. Basically, if you have a small job and it's the middle of the season don't go to them because they have a lot of work with big companies and they're going to go to you last, which is what I think is going on with them. I think they're very good, but they don't specialize in small jobs and mine was a small job, so I got lost in the shuffle.

Great, the crew was very polite and professional. Trimmed and thinned out the trees, continually checked with us if we wanted more trimmed out or not. Thoroughly cleaned up and removed all the trimmings. Even had a follow up call from the office asking if we were satisfied with the work performed. Very pleased with the outcome and the work performed.

They got back to me right away with a quote and I really appreciated that.

I've interviewed serveral Tree companies (5 in total) and decided with Rich's Tree Service, mainly for 3 reasons: (1) Sales Agent: Alan was very informative, patient, and did not try to upsale (as I experience with others) (2) Customer Service A+: Followed up on the Estimate, After the job completion if I was satisfied, Even mailed a Thank You card (3) Professionalism: Came on Scheduled date and time, Kevin team lead crew of 2 took care of protecting my property by putting boards up against the sides of the house to prevent unforeseen damages, debrie cleaned up the best they could, rang door bell upon completion and to check if it was to my satisfaction. Whole process took 2 hours, efficient, focus and all business. The estimate provided are on the high end but they are willing to work with you to match it.Overall pricing is competitve (final price). The only thing that concerned me was the stump grinding did not occur the same day as the tree removal. I did call the office but they couldn't tell me when. They did show up the next business day but the feeling of not knowing when and waiting around the whole day ended up losing another days of work. The guy was a one man operation and he was meticulous in manuevering the grinding machine in the narrow path to the stump. Grinding machine is remote control, totally surprised. I watched in complete awe how he did it. Good job about 30 minutes. If there is one thing to improve on, would be having the office update the customer if the job is "not complete" when will the service occur so that customer can plan ahead. Overall, the experience with them has exceeded my expectations and would highly recommend them to neighbors and beyond. Their workmanship and professionalism is A+. There were no surprises.

All work was completed as specified in the contract. The four man crew was professional and extremely efficient in going about their work. I don't think I've ever seen such a well coordinated and hardworking team. They didn't leave behind any debris and the heavy equipment didn't damage our lawn thanks to the steel pads that distributed the weight of their vehicles. We are very satisfied with the job and the price.

They were very professional, did good work, but the responsiveness took a little longer then expected.

Removed a white oak damaged by Sandy in the back of my yard,half the tree was broken off and hung up in the tree next to it.They did a great job,but half of my back lawn was destroyed,no pads put down to protect the grass.Overall a good jod in a tough space,just have to reseed the lawn now. Polite and professional workers,nice cleanup after job was done.

Excellent work and the price was reasonable. I would endorse them and use them again.

Everybody was fine. They came and did a really god job, no problems whatsoever. It was little bit expensive. Later on we had a neighbor who needed a tree cut and we said "We happened to do just here." Somebody took the dogs out for the morning and I heard somebody cutting out trees, I told my husband "Somebody's right here, maybe somebody can help these people." To cut the long story short, they did came and their price was a lot less different than the one that we had but they did a super job. They did the job, they took the job and they did everything needed to be done. They were just perfect, got everything done and cleaned up and I couldn't ask for more. I would recommend him to anybody else who needs that. But the fellows close at hand, we were really surprised his price was much lower, I don't know the reason for that but they came and did the job for my neighbor. We heard these guys working across the way near another neighbor and we called and we asked them if they would be able to come here to help my neighbor and they said "Yes, we'll be there at 3 o'clock," and at 3:30 they were there cutting for the neighbor. I think these all do really good job and it's questioning money I guess. They cut down two trees and a stowe and came to out house and climb some other trees from the backyard, all that he charged us only $200. The price that we had from out fellow here was $750 compared to the next door for $200. We had no problem with him, their service, everything they did a fabulous job, no issues; all companies have their own prices and they may even more price because they might have more equipment than other people, you'll never know.

The quote process was more comprehensive. It included all the things that needed to be done.

I met with Charlie from their company and he was very professional. They were punctual and came on the date they promised. The job was to remove 7 trees and stumps along with a large accumulation of brush. They removed the trees the same day along with the brush and maintained an very safe and clean job site. They were respectful of my property and even cleaned the pool of any branches or other tree remnants. They then came back the next day to remove all the stumps including 2 additional ones from an older fallen. They did a great job and I will be using them as my tree service moving forward and would hihgly recommend them.

The gentleman came out with very superior equipment, and did an excellent job. These are the guys to hire for tree service!
