Crew arrived on time and started right away. Took down four trees and removed one stump. Cleaned up everything and the crew was very thorough. Total pros. Were done in under two hours. Price was competitive with other tree services in the area and they were fast getting to my house and providing a quote. Would definitely deal with them again.

The did very well. We had a lot of trees down from the hurricane and they cleaned them all up and threw grass seed down.

Scheduling w/office mgr was excellent and they came out and removed all three trees, grounded out stump, removed all grindings. Afterwards, I noticed a few branches left behind as well as many large roots still exposed. When I called to inquire about the roots being taken away, I was pleased to know that this was done at no additional charge, but I'd have to wait until "the guys were in the area" to have the work completed. The infinite timeframe did not work well as we are having sod put down, so after a few more emails, they came out a second time to complete the work. One of my sprinkler heads was found snapped and "placed" under my deck -- this was quite surprising to me. When I turned the irrigation system on, there was a leak where the sprinkler head used to be located and coincidentally, in the path of where one of the root grindings took place...not sure if I was responsible to inform them of an existing irrigation system, so keep this in mind when choosing a tree service.

I was very impressed with Rich Tree Service from the time they came out to our home and assessed the conditions needed during the winter time. Went for an Angie's List Big Deal that never happened and Rich came through during the winter season to take care of cutting down a large juniper bush in front of our home as well as bushes that had never been pruned or trimmed. These were to satisfy two issues, one an insurance issue for our home and the other access to PSE&G for our electric meter. They came in and did the job quick and neat. Alan called me the following day and said he could not grind out one stump but I was glad he explained it. Would use them for future work.

It was a bad experience. They did my neighbors yard first and it took 6 hours to take her tree down; only took 2 hours to get mine down. My neighbor had half the crew while I only had a few people. Another neighbor wanted some tree trimming done and they took men away from my job to do this other job. I felt like my job had been put on the back burner. There are wood chips all over the yard and they never came back to clean up the office. I got a call back the following Monday and I told her I did not like the job and wanted to talk to the man that I originally talked to. If I wanted to have all those wood chips picked up it would have cost me another $500.

My overall experience with them was good, because they actually were a little rigid with their process of actually getting me on their list to get the work done. I called them up, I said I liked their estimate and asked if they would come out right away as we had a tree that fell in the yard. I had to fax back the estimate to them before they would schedule an appointment. They ended up coming early, like days early. They said that they would be there on Tuesday and then they called me a Saturday prior to that and asked if it would be okay if they came like right now, and I said be my guest. Regarding responsiveness, it took them a while to get out there and they would not put me on their schedule until I actually got to a fax machine.

Very punctual, very professional, very neat. Job was completed in less than four hours. The crew was very nice and went above and beyond what I expected. All debris was cleaned up (considering there was snow on the ground) and removed, If the crew noticed a dead branch --- out it came. We believe that it was priced fairly considering all the work done. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Rich Tree Service.

The guys showed up on time cut the trees, ground them up and cleaned up debris and cuttings. Excellent job, professional, quick and clean! Highly recommend and will use them again!

The phone contact was professional and timely, with it being winter we wound up being rescheduled a few times and they worked with my schedule to reschedule around the weather. The actual crew performed the work quickly and cleaned up after themselves even though it meant raking in the little snow that was in the yard.

Went as expected. Took long for them to come due to weather as expected. Great Job! They cut some branches from another tree @ no additional charge.

Rich came personally to provide an assessment and quote. I asked 3 different landscapers for quotes and Rich's Tree Service had the best price by $100. I didn't have to negotiate - he just gave the best price for Angie's List members. The best part was that Rich spent a great deal of time explaining his recommendation and discussing different options. It was like taking a class on tree maintenance - in fact, Rich teaches at Rutgers. It was amazingly easy to work with Rich. His crew came the following week and quickly and neatly performed all the tree services we discussed. Then someone came 2 days later to grid the stumps. The backyard now has tons of light and we're very happy with Rich's recommendations on which trees to remove and prune.

The company showed up as expected. They were very responsive. All work was done as promised for what I believe is an exceptional value.

The tree came down and everything was cleaned up after tree was hauled away. Everyone connected with this company was extremely helpful and professional. Kudos to office staff in particular.

I'm very satisfied. They called back within 24 hours, sent an estimator out who gave me options at different costs. They came when we agreed and did their work fast and professionally. They also cleaned up and left all areas spotless. Great experience.

They removed three large trees, two of which were right next to the house, and trimmed two others. From Alan's initial visit to do the estimate to the phone follow-ups to the crew foreman going over the game plan with me on the day of service, they were professional and efficient. And they left the property clean and tidy.

I contacted them to remove a tree and ground the stump. They gave me an estimate later that day and completed the job in less than a week. I was very happy with the work and they were very easy to deal with and very professional.

The estimator came over and gave us prices for the work we needed. We weren't sure whether we wanted the stumps removed, ground up or left in. He gave us prices for every option - no pressure to pick one over the other. We contacted them when we decided. They came over on time, knew exactly what we wanted and even cleaned up afterwards. Great job!

Excellent job. Work area was completely cleaned up. UPDATE: original quote included stump grinding included because i was repeat customer. it was found that stump was too close to pool filter to grind. I am okay with that, but bill came in unchanged, meaning my repeat customer discount amounted to nothing. I skipped competitive bids because Rich's tree service did excellent work and pricing seemed to a little high but fair. i am disappointed that Richs' would have such little regard for a repeat customer. Next time i will get multiple bids to be sure I get a good price.

The crew came in with two vehicles, one reaching out to the tree top and the other, the grinder and performed the work immaculately in 2 hours. Later another serviceman showed up with a stump grinder to dig out the stump into a fine wood chips. The work was done very professionally and courteous fashion. A professional grade you rarely find from contractors!!!

They did an excellent job. Cleaned up very well; cut and stacked the wood neatly. I will certainly recommend Rich Tree Service and will use them in the future as well.
