I don't know why there was a delay from the manufacture on the part, but that does not excuse the way we handled your call here in the office. Most recently, we had them look over several issues that were identified during the home inspection of our recent house purchase. They came out to take a look at the work and quote, and informed us that they would be able to perform the work the same day. A few hours later, everything was complete.

We told him to try the alternative cartridge for which he was going to charge us $220 plus tax. While he started working I "googled" the model # and not only found out that replacement parts were readily available from Flushmate they were FREE due to a widely publicized recall! I immediately told him to stop and leave.
Prior to looking up the info on the Flushmate site with the serial # I had even asked him if these were part of a recall because a quick search on my phone showed that they had many recalls and he emphatically said "no".
I guess they operate under the theory that if they show up quickly and get to work immediately people won't have time to research prices or whether what they are told is true!
"Mr. [removed member name], I completely disagree with your assessment of our visit to your office. My technician informed you that many of the pressure flush tanks have be discontinued and there was a possibility the replacement cartridge would not work. He quoted you the price for us to supply and install the cartridge which you accepted. My technician started the work. You as stated found the manufacture's recall. The manufacture will send the part directly to the end user and the recall will not cover labor. You asked my technician why you should have to pay for the work if there was a recall. My technician explained that we purchased the part that we were installing. You told him that you would not pay anything. So he removed our part and reinstalled your part. So in the end you called our office for service. We quoted you our diagnostic fee to come to your office and diagnose the problem. Before we did any work we quoted you a price that you agreed to. We started the job and you stopped us. We removed our part, put your part back in and left without collecting anything and somehow we did something wrong.
