Mike was early for appointment.  Very professional.
$128 seems high for 40 minute service call.

Price was never even remotely discussed with me. Charge me $110 for service and twenty minutes labor and another $60 for the lid switch.

I had someone repairing the dryer, but he just wasn't getting the job done. Every two to three months it kept breaking down. I called Edward's Appliance Service on Angie's List, and the gentleman who came out explained to me why it kept breaking down, and he told me what I needed to do to keep the dryer from overheating. The other guy just kept coming and repairing it, but he wasn't telling me what I was doing wrong to keep it from overheating. The gentleman from Edward's Appliance Service explained it all to me, and ever since we've had that taken care of the dyer has been fine, and it must be a year since we've had to call a repair guy out for the dryer. We also had a little problem with the dishwasher, so I called Edward's Appliance Service because I knew I could rely on them.

Turned out to be a mouse had chewed through the drain hose! Technician diagnosed within fifteen minutes, replaced the hose, then offered to plug the hole (with steel wool) that allowed the mouse access to the hose! All told spent a little over an hour on location. Dishwasher was reinstalled perfectly into custom cabinetry.
In addition technician gave me lots of advice about other high-end appliances (SubZero refrig, Dacor range, etc.) and how to maintain. Very impressed.
Not sure how much a repair like this should cost, so I have no idea whether the amount charged is fair or not. I do know that the guy was clearly competant, and provided lots of and quot;value addedand quot; with advice on the side.
Would certainly use this company in the future.

I had a function at my house and I was so concerned that I get it fixed before people came to my home. It was a chip-in hors d'oeuvre thing and they wouldn't have anything to heat it up with if I didn't have a microwave. What I didn't like was that the lady on the phone told me how they structure the costs was different than when the guy actually showed up and he tried to tell me something different. I stuck my ground and he did discount it, however I didn't like monkey-business. Here is what they told me: They will have to come out twice. Once to assess the situation and then they will have to order the part. I told them "I know exactly what is wrong with it." They said "Well, you are not an expert and we have to do that." So I said, "Okay." They came out and sure enough, that was exactly what it was. They guy took it out; it is a big, build-in. I paid for that, and that cost was supposed to be one fee for whatever time it took for them to assess it. When the guy came back, he tried to bill me for the total time; the time he took to take the microwave out and assess it. I was like "I don't think so. That was included." That irritated me. I did not appreciate that. He finally said "I'll give that to you." He did fix it right but I don't like monkey-business. I am in my upper 50's and it's a good thing that I am not weak because this guy couldn't take it out without my assistance! What the heck was he going to do? He couldn't put it back in and it was hard and heavy and I cut my finger. I didn't appreciate being stressed with that. I had to assist him. They told me that whatever amount of time it takes to put back in. When the guy was here, he asked me "Do you want me to put it back in?" and I was like, "No! You're not going to charge me to take it out again. We're just going to leave it right here nobody is going to bother it in the laundry room." I told him to leave it right there in order to cut down the amount of time. He couldn't lift it back and he was taking his sweet ol' time and he needed my assistance to lift it back in there. Then, here's the thing that comes with the replacement unit. He took his time to take it apart and show me how amazing these magnets are. He was like, "You'll never get a stronger magnet." Then when he was done with this side thing, he gave me the bill and I said "Did you just charge me for the time it took to do that?" Which I didn't appreciate that either. He fixed it and he fixed it right but there were shenanigans, which I don't like. I don't like calling the office and getting one price and having the repairman telling me another price then not having the ability to do it without assistance. What if I was 75? Do you think I could have lifted that? How the heck was he going to do that with just one person?

Issue with Bosch washer. Repairman showed me how to access and removed trapped items for next time. Also checked to make sure I was using the proper HE detergent and correct amounts. Repairman was polite and courteous. I called Albo Appliances for a reference and confirmed it on Angie's List. I would highly recommend Edwards appliance.

They were excellent. The gentleman was very forthright in determing that throwing good money for something that I could buy a new one in the future, because of the amount of the repairs. He was able to help me to save money, than making money for himself.

They were quick, prompt, and very courteous when they came in. They made sure their shoes were clean and they didn’t bring in more tools than they needed. He knew exactly what to do right off the bat; we were back up and running in less than 15 minutes. The service charge was twice as much as the parts but it was still well below what we expected to pay.
