Challenger Fence was a pleasure to work with. Everybody we have dealt with - from Alex, he guy who came to get measurements and give us estimates), the office staff and the installation crew - were punctual, courteous and knowledgeable. They came and/or called when they said they would and prior to the installation, the office staff gave me timely updates on where we were (permit applications, scheduling,etc). One thing I loved about the transaction was when Alex noticed that we were having trouble deciding on which fence post topper to go with, he said that he could send his crew out with both options which his crew can put on top of the posts and we can choose on the day of installation and they did! He didn't have to but he went out of his way to make it easier for us. While browsing through their company's brochure, my husband's eyes lit up when he saw the solar lights that could be installed as fence post toppers and wanted to get them for the gate posts. Alex discouraged us saying that we might not like it so much because the sun won't be hitting that area much so there might not be enough light at night - we observed the area for days and he was right. He could've just sold us the extra lights and made a little bit more but he didn't. The installation crew came early last weekend and installed our fencing. They worked fast and our family was able to enjoy our newly-fenced-in backyard by afternoon. The crew left our yard clean and neat. This experience with Challenger Fence showed us that they are a professional company who cares about customer satisfaction.

From the beginning till the end was amazing. I had 5 different companies give me estimates on my face and Challenger was the best not just in price but service as well. They install a 2 tone vinyl fence on a 100?100 property. I will recommend Challenger company to anyone wanting to install a fence

I currently had a wood fence around the perimeter of a roof deck over my garage. The wood fencing was deteriorating. Challenger fence was hired to replace the wood fencing with PVC fencing. They removed the wood railings between the support posts, They clad the existing wood posts with PVC posts and attached the new PVC fencing to the newly clad posts. The job went extremely well from the quote process through the completion of the installation. The individual who provided the quote arrived on time and gave a quote at that time. The crew arrived on time, were polite and did an excellent job installing the new fence. When a question arose regarding the height of the bottom rail, they reviewed with me their recommendation and we agreed to it. They took the old fencing with them and cleaned up the work area so it was spotless. I am very pleased the the job performed.

Problems from the beginning 1) 9am appointment but did not arrive until 2:30pm ? I was NOT informed about schedule change and ended up sitting all day waiting for them 2) Arrived with 3 men and can see they were not in the greatest moods ? I was their 5th job and the last one on a Friday, it was hot - 85 degrees, they had not eaten lunch yet, and they wanted to get my job over and done with especially being Friday 3) Five wooden posts they were going to use were recycled and used from old job. Some were splintered, aged, warped and even rotted out in some areas. It was so obvious. I refused the job unless they went to Home Depot to get new ones even though he tried to put it off that it was new and expected from wood. 4) The contract stated 40 foot which ended up not accurate. Should have been 42 foot so they did not measure correctly. Had to bring additional pickets on return trip. 5) Vinyl gates and post were in poor quality as it was not handled with care. It was all scratched up and scuffed. It was not secured in the truck. Had them replace most of the posts. 6) Office Manager was accommodating to meet my concerns and had them rectify accordingly

From estimate to install, service was prompt and the staff was enjoyable to work with.

The installers installed a fence with a gate near my driveway (not near my neighbors property) to enclose that portion of my backyard. That went in fine. The other area of installation was along my neighbhors property where she had an existing fence. They subsequently installed the 20' long section of fencing starting where my neighbors fence ended and going in an L-shape with a gate near my back door. The installers followed the line of my neighbors fence but ended up putting my fence 3"-4" inside my neighbors property line. Unfortunately this was not discovered (by my neighbor) until after they had finished that portion of the install. By then the posts were cemented in and could not be moved. The installers never asked for a copy of the house survey which would have clearly shown them the location of the property lines. When I called the office to complain, they did offer to move the fence panels to the inside of the fence posts, but that still left the posts themselves on my neighbors property. Since my neighbor indicated that it wasn't a problem for her, I didn't request that the contractor return to move the fence. I feel that any company which does this day in and day out, should be reponsible enough to make sure that where a customer's fence is installed is in the correct place with regards to property lines. It should not be the customers responsibility to ascertain whether the fence is in the correct place or not. The company requires a permit from the town be taken out prior to install, but the property survey was never requested by the company. If this had happened on a large scale install, it would have created a major problem.

Good - no problems with installation and staff was very professional at all levels. Office was on- top of procedures and process. Installers got right to the job and finished in a timely manner. No mess was left although, the area/ fence could have been a little bit better cleaned up but it was minor.

We looked at them, but their pricing was very high. There was nothing I like or dislike, we are just going with price. They never got back to me. They got back to me very quickly when I asked them to come out for the price quote.

Install new fencing in the backyard.

I called to have estimate on a fence repair. I was told that they do not repair fences they did not install. So unless they installed your fence, do not call them to fix or repair an existing fence.

Estimate was very competitive. Final price beat other quotes and allowed me to add fencing to perimeter of home. They came with 2 crews and finished the project in a day. At the end I felt they were a little rushed and some of the cuts could have been neater. Overall, for the price I was happy with the job.

Very responsive and the work looks great and is of high quality. They explained all the options and helped me choose the best fence.

Challenger's work is top notch. I have had a number of neighbors comment quite favorably about the appearance of our property and the attractiveness of the fencing (white heavy duty vinyl). My daughter bought a house last year and hired Challenger to enclose her backyard. She is equally happy with the work and the company's professionalism.

I am very happy with their service. It took them one day to finish. I got about 6 or 7 quotes. I went with them because they gave me two-toned fence and they put in concrete and their price was cheaper than everything else.

I looked long and hard for good pricing for my deck project. I really needed financing for this big ticket item. Actually, my deck is a 18 ft x 20 ft platform deck (No railings because the platform is less than 26 inches high). Most companies quoted us much higher prices and did not offer financing. Then came along the big string wood supplier (in Flanders, NJ) and they offered 18 month financing (offered only a few times a year around holidays like Labor Day) which was they only way we could afford it. I jumped on the opportunity when the financing was announced. So, they supplied the pressure treated wood and supplies and they contracted out the labor to Challenger Fence for the Labor. The Owner's son Alex had to hand create the designs which we had to submit to the new TWP Inspector. Challenger Owner - ILIA (like from the old series "The Men From Mann" - ILIA KIRIAKIN) has a very hard working crew and he is also and sooo polite too. We had a concrete platform outside our back door which is where the deck was to be built. They had to remove that with a jackhammer and they also had to remove 10 areas around the flagstone patio for the footings. They had to dig 10, 46 inch deep holes for the footings. Another inspection of the footing holes was approved by the TWP Inspector, and we could begin the pouring and the building. They also had to pour a ramp of concrete to grade water flow away from the house. The Challenger guys and their staff were great, courteous and cleaned up well after each stage of the project. They even came back after the project was complete to replace a part of the stair railing which had split - no questions asked. They clearly know the value of hard work with a sense of pride and caring. I would definitely recommend Challenger Fence.

This is a hard review to make, for the actual instalation of the fence, they came out gave the estimate, were able to get it installed fast for a party we were having, did a great job... then it all changed. First we asked them to come out and look at some cracks in the smaller fence posts, which they did, but then we never heard from them. Then it was incredibly hard to get a hold of them. Found out that the existing gate into the backyard needed to be replaced, could not get them to come out and TAKE MORE MONEY from us. They finally came out, said we'd hear back, then nothing. All this while I have had their little signs on every corner of the fence. So it was good at the beginning and then I guess they were done with us.

The salesperson responsed right away & came over to give us an estimate. Price was pretty good & competitive. We even get a letter to thank us considering the company. Everything went very smoothly on the day of installation. The suprivisor was very easy to work with & talk to. They installed everything in one day (was estimates for 2 days). The sales person (owner?) even showed up during the day to make sure everything was OK. The only little thing was the office forgot to confirm the day before. We were all sitting at home wondering whether or not they would show up next day. They did, on time & did a great job.

very well! put down tarp in street so when off loading cement and sand so any small spill would not land on pavement. the job foreman went over survey with me so as to be sure it that tha fence would be as required as per town zoning officer and the permit. I did not have to supervise the job, they are pro's. Everything was perfect. Just give them plenty of juice or water if it's hot. you could not ask for a nicer company. two year gauarantee on work & labor. 10 yr warrentey on fence & gates & hardware.. They are a n.j. state registered company. FYI in n.j. any company MUST be state registered they will have the issued certificate with them. If a company is not registered do not hire them as you will be subject to a fine and possable arrest. one requirement for state registration is a contractor must have a min of 500.000 liability insurance & a clean record.. so take my advice!!
