We had a gas furnace issue for 2-3 weeks where a chimney damper used to trip off every 2-3 days. We had couple of chimney companies come and analyze the issue and they came up with big proposals of changing chimney height and changing pipes just looking at the whole setup. We were fortunate to have called 1 Hour chimney company and Tony (Owner of the company) looked at it. He opened up the pipe and to our surprise it did have garbage from the roofing reconstruction (We just did the roofing earlier this year and those idiots were so careless). Tony then cleaned the chimney and saved us from the future danger of Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

We would highly recommend 1 Hour Chimney for any chimney job. We’ve heard that a lot of chimney companies are fly-by-the-night kind of companies so we turned to Angie’s list hoping for a better experience and boy were we impressed with Tony and 1 Hour Chimney. An estimate was scheduled quickly, and Tony was right on time and very knowledgeable and helpful. We wanted to Tony to assess our current liner because we were having issues with our furnace. After meeting with Tony we learned we didn't have to replace our aluminum liner BUT we wanted to replace it with a stainless steel liner and Tony gave us a great price (including an Angie’s List discount). Additionally, the work has a lifetime guarantee which is even transferable in the event we sell the home. We also had Tony look at two other fireplaces and he noted some cracks in one of the fire boxes so we had that issue resolved with fire proofing foam spray. The work was completed within days of the first estimate. The permit process went smoothly and all we had to do was schedule an inspection and 1 Hour insisted on being present for it. We now feel safer in our home thanks to Tony and 1 Hour Chimney.

The whole experience was amazing and seamless. We are new homeowners and this was our third quote for our fireplace to be "fixed". The owner, tony, came to personally look at our fireplace in order to give us a quote. He also looked at our furnace just to mKe sure everything was ok. He found that our furnace was not safe for our family and gave us a quote for both our furnace and fireplace. Tony was absolutely amazing and very trustworthy. We would 100% hire him again! He was the only honest person we found!

They also over came a few hurdles including the slight bend in the chimney and a stone that needed to be jack hammered out. They never gave up and powered through it all! Excellent!! Tony was the best thing that happened to us. We were so discouraged from dealing with unreliable, unprofessional, untrustworthy contractors and we were at our wits end. I called 1 Hour Chimney and spoke with Juliet and explained our frustration. She recommended we give her husband Tony a call , being it was a Saturday and he was with customers . She said he would review the quotes we got and let us know which ones were ok to go with. We could NOT believe this!! who in today's world does this? My husband called Tony and he spent 1/2hr on the phone walking him through the issues we were having. He knew right away what needed to be done and gave us a rough estimate. We made an appointment for Tuesday for Tony to do the repairs. He was extremely thorough . He was on the roof , down in the basement and he actually found a very serious problem with our furnace chimney that NO ONE told us about, which could have resulted in carbon monoxide entering our home or a fire. When the work was completed, our bill was $3000.00 LESS than quoted as one of the options was not necessary. This only goes to show how fair Tony is and the pride he takes in his company. We were prepared to pay more but the savings was wonderful!! Tony;s crew was great as well. Very polite, neat and professional. they even vacuumed. My oil boiler failed so I decided to convert to a new gas furnace. I called 1 hour chimney to inspect and certify the chimney for conversion. Tony came on time ( called 30 minutes before arriving). Inspected the chimney, showed me the damaged and broken lining and said that the chimney must be relined in order to certify. What surprised me the most was that he asked me to look at the specifications of the new furnace to make sure that the new liner can handle the furnace. After reading the details I got from my plumber he said " We have a problem, your chimney can not handle the new furnace your plumber recommended " I was totally confused and asked him to talk to the plumber and explain his concerns. He agreed and spoke with my plumber and they both came to a conclusion that the furnace that was supposed to be installed the next day is larger than the chimney can handle. Wow, what if I had installed the furnace before I called 1 Hour Chimney? After the phone call, everything went smooth. Plumber came back, changed the furnace ($400 cheaper) ,chimney liner was installed 2 days later and they were both inspected by the town inspector and approved. I just wanted to thank Tony one more time for helping me and not letting me make a mistake. Excellent service. I would highly recommend 1 hour chimney.

Arrived promptly on time and performed a detailed examination of the chimney. He explained everything in detail, including hazards of current chimney, cost and time to fix. A detailed report was sent the next day. Efficient and fast turn around. Great job

Excellent. Tony Sapun (owner) truly understands his business and was able to explain the options to us in an easy manner. He visually inspected the chimney from the ground and was able to tell us that a repair was sufficient and that we did not need to rebuild the entire chimney (which is what we thought based on how bad it looked). The chimney ended up needing more repairs than he initially thought but he kept to his estimate and did the additional work at no extra cost. Although we discussed installing a new stainless chimney liner (and he provided an estimate at our first meeting), Tony told us to think about it and to get my plumber's input. We decided to go ahead and install a stainless chimney liner as the house is 100 years old and the clay liner was not sufficient for the new boiler that we planned on installing later this summer. Tony never pressured us to install the liner. He had plenty of opportunity to 'upsell' me during the process but didn't do that. He is honest and a pleasure to work with. His guys did an excellent job (as per the town inspector and my plumber!) as well. They were clean, polite and worked hard to get the job done quickly. From a customer service standpoint, Tony or his assistant always called me back and generally within an hour or so. I felt that my questions were always answered timely and to my satisfaction.. I would recommend this company in the future.

Excellent is an understatement. From my first call to get an estimate to the last step of getting the permit closed by the township, this company exceeded my expectations every step of the way. Everyone I dealt with along the way was very polite and helpful. I felt very comfortable hiring them, and it turned out to be such a good decision. Here are just a few reasons why I'm extremely satisfied with 1 Hour Chimney: Price: I called a dozen companies to get a balk park estimate over the phone. This was the only company that not only was willing to provide pricing over the phone, but actually quoted the exact price. Their price was $300 lower than the next lowest reputable competitor. Also, unlike other companies they did not ask for any money upfront. The price I was quoted on the phone was the total price I paid at the end, after all work was completed. Scheduling and showing up on schedule: I was given a date and time that was convenient for me. The tech showed up exactly on time. Craftsmanship and Professionalism: These guys are proud of the work they do, they pay attention to every little detail, use quality materials, and are very very neat.

Simply the best quality and customer service

Tony is my hero! We had a new gas water heater installed some months ago and a recent NJ state law requires that the chimney have a corresponding liner. Ugh . . . I didn't have it done the day the water heater was installed as it would have meant at least another $2000 on top of what we had already spent. Some time went by and the town 'reminded" us that we still needed to take care of this when we received a "Notice of Violation and Order to Terminate", which all sounded pretty scary, but really meant that the permit was not complete and we were in violation of that. Members of my family have always had excellent luck finding tradesmen and service providers via Angie's List, so I said, why not? I was incredibly pleased and grateful when I read 1-Hour Chimney - AAA Chimney Corp's many excellent reviews. The way Tony's expertise and level of professionalism was described made him feel like someone I could trust, like that of an old friend. My husband called on the Friday before the 4th of July holiday. Tony picked up on the 2nd ring and told my husband that he would be there within the hour. He arrived and carefully reviewed our situation. Although we expected not to have the work done until sometime the following week (because of the impending holiday), he arranged for his team of professionals to be there within 30 minutes to do the job! He was honest about the fact that it may cost us a bit more because he might be challenged by our old-fashioned tile roof (which you can't stand on) but, with his supervision of the project, the sleeve went in effortlessly and the work was completed in an hour and a half. While "up-close and personal" with the chimney he also noticed that a little extra patching was required, which he provided at no extra charge. So impressed, so delighted, so grateful that we were able to get the work done that same day and with such expertise and professionalism. He also dealt directly with the town regarding the permit and will make himself available for the inspection, as well. I have a level 1 chimney inspection performed. Tony had a previous engagement that ran way over time, and he arrived around 2 hours later than the scheduled time. He did notify me, was very apologetic, and asked if I still wanted to perform the inspection. I did, and when he arrived he performed the inspection and then waived the entire cost of it. Good businessman; would use again. Things like that happen.

AAA showed up same day to inspect my chimney and to give me an estimate of needed repairs. He didn't try to upsell me to do repairs that were not needed. The crew showed up on time once scheduled and did all of the work in an efficient manner. They seemed to do a quality job and cleaned up very well after. I would use them again.

Tony was great to work with. I needed a new chimney liner on short notice, and Tony came by that evening to give me a competitive estimate. I am very happy with the work and would recommend Tony to anyone who needs work on their chimney.

This is my second review, this time after completion of the work by 1 Hour Chimney. As scheduled, the technicians came on time. Protected the work area both in front of the fireplace and in the basement next to the chimney. First they swept the Fireplace flue then started spraying the flue with Ceramic Sealant (Thermocrete). Both Techs were very clean and professional. Later on Tony (owner of the company) came to say Hi and to check how the work was progressing. It was such a pleasure discussing the details of the repairs with Tony. After he was done explaining , I felt like I knew everything about chimneys.In approx. 6 hours they repaired both flues, concrete crown, replaced caps, waterproofed the chimney... Very clean, careful and as professional as it gets.I never thought I would have such a good experience with a chimney company. I give them 5 shining stars and would highly recommend them.

From start to finish this company is excellent to work with. Tony arrived and gave us an estimate. He is very pleasant and knowledgeable and we thought his price was good and his Angie's list reviews are good so we did not even get a second opinion. The job was scheduled for about a week after the estimate which was also only a couple of days after our major 2016 snow storm. Tony's guys arrived promptly and were also very pleasant and neat. We are very satisfied with the work. Also be aware that there are a lot of bad chimney companies out there who will inspect your chimney and then damage it so that you need a costly repair. Tony did not touch our chimney at all to give us our estimate. Highly recommend this company.

1 Hour Chimney showed up on time for all appointments (estimate, installation and inspection.) The service provider explained exactly what he was going to do and provided a precise time frame in which the service would be completed. The service provider was polite and respectful, and completed the work neatly and quietly. The company stuck to the price that was agreed to the contract and did not request additional funds. In terms of the inspection, the appointment was made last minute, and the service provider still showed up on time, even a little early, to prep the chimney for the inspector. Overall, I had an extremely positive experience with this company and would use them again.

1 Hour Chimney was recommended by a friend of mine who is Angie's List member (at the time I was not a member). I called and made an appointment for inspecting chimneys on a house I was purchasing with a very pleasant lady that answered the phone.Tony from 1 Hour Chimney came for inspection on time, inspected both Fireplace and Heating flues, checked the masonry condition of the chimney, caps.... He explained in detail all the problems chimneys had, to both myself and the owner and gave me a detailed quotation for all the repairs . Before closing on the house I got full credit for all chimney repairs Tony recommended. I was so impressed with Tony's professionalism that I became Angie's list member just so I can white this review. Now, as the owner of the house, I have scheduled all the chimney repairs with 1 Hour Chimney for next week. After the work is completed I will be back with another review.

Tony is a very caring and conscientious business man who knows how to run a business and knows his business well! He responds to your calls right away. Explains everything well. His workers are prompt, neat and clean. I called him a few days later with another concern and quickly returned my calls even though it was a Friday night! I highly recommend him. We were able to get an estimate and schedule the work, all in a timely manor. And the price was competitive.
