Very good and knowledgeable installer

Ray is truly a first-class professional who takes pride in his work, goes above and beyond for the customer, and is the embodiment of industriousness. To get a sense of Ray in a nutshell, I'll share how he handled my broken landing steps. One contractor offered to fix them by tearing through the drywall underneath, adding 2x4 supports, and not patching up the drywall. Ray instead removed the material from above, added supports, added new oak, sanded, stained, and refinished it. For half the price. The end result of the floors and stairs are spectacular. Visually it's stunning, and 95% of squeaking noises are gone. I believe his craftsmanship is top class. I wish HomeAdvisor would allow me to share images of the work. He's 100% aware of your needs. You only need to tell him once. Throughout the week, I would mention things, hoping maybe he could fix it a loose banister, a new bay window surface, a small crack in the wood, and a handful of other things. He resolves all these tasks throughout the job, without needing any nagging, knowing exactly what to do. I suspect Ray is the kind of man that takes pride in his work. He came in on a Sunday while the rest of his team took the day off. He took the liberty of installing a wooden floor vent, which, given the floor layout, was a decision in good taste. No additional charge. Ray provides incredible value. I got estimates from 7 different flooring contractors. Ray was either average or cheaper, when comparing apples to apples . Not only that, but he provided many things free of charge, and loosely accounted for materials costs (in favor of the customer). He fixed our bay window surface, which is now gorgeous, for an affordable price. He redid moldings because we didn't like it. To dispose of the removed carpet, every other contractor requested a dumpster (an additional charge on top of labor), but Ray disposed of it in his colleague's truck. Carpet removal was quoted at a low, flat rate, whereas other contractors charged per square foot (and the job involved 1200 square feet). He's a true professional. He's an older man that checks text messages and images. He sticks to his word. He worked outside in 30F weather. He completed the job days before predicted. He even cleaned up some of the painter's garbage when he was disposing of his own garbage. If you hire this man, you will not be disappointed.

Ray (Ramone) is a great guy to work with. Don't let his accent fool you. He's a real professional, is certainly a master of his trade and he's very conscientious and personable. For my kitchen floor project he had to rip up a layer of laminate tile and a bottom layer of linoleum that was glued to the slab. This was an arduous task. Ray just persevered to get the job done and the floor looks great. He's also very meticulous, clean and neat. I'm bringing him back to do another room too. You should know his bid was one of the lowest yet his work and the finished floor went beyond my expectations. It was a pleasure working with him. He certainly has my highest recommendation.

Ray is very professional, easy to deal with and very accommodating guy. He offers good ideas and suggestions. He does an excellent job with a very reasonable rate. He has done a couple of hardwood floor projects for us and he has also converted our carpeted stairs into elegant looking wooden stairs to match our floors. His quality of work is superb. He completes his project within a reasonable time frame and leaves the place nice and clean. Highly recommended!!!

We had our newly refinished floors damaged by a new dishwasher that was faulty (still waiting for PCRichard to make it right). With the holidays coming and the fact that my kitchen was essentially useless, we called ray in on Saturday to look at it. Priced within hours, replaced the entire floor and laid new underpayment complete by WEDNESDAY Removed and reinstalled everything including the baseboards. Ray is a real craftsman. No extras, all pricing up front. Shows up when he says he will. Clean, organized and honest. This is what a contractor should be. Highly recommend.

the team showed up at 8am and the whole job was done by 4pm cleane all garbage thrown away and a beautiful job at a fair price.i would use them for other jobs.

Ray did a great job with the installation of 3 rooms of new hardwood flooring and refinishing 3 rooms . He was able to match the stain color of older oak floors with new wood flooring. The only issue i had was that i thought floor would be level between kitchen and dining rooms. Ray explained that due to how the house was constructed it was not possible to have the floor level and that we needed to use a transition piece of wood with a slight slope between rooms. This was not explained to me until after the floor had been installed . I would have liked to have this information before installation so that i would have had the opportunity to decide on going with a 3/8 or 1/2 inch engineered floor that would have been level. I also did not understand that because the new floor is higher than the old floor my stove will not be level with countertop. That said the hardwood flooring turned out beautiful and you hardly notice the transition of one floor to the other. Crew also was great and cleaned up nicely. The only issue was in communication which in part was from my lack of knowledge about flooring. I would just make sure you make it clear what you expect in advance so you have no suprises. Quality of Ray's work and price was a very good value.

Choosing the right home flooring and a professional to install it can be a very daunting project. Ray made our home flooring install unbelievably easy. When I called, he arranged a prompt and convenient time to come measure my rooms and and discuss the many options available for our new floors. Once I chose my flooring, he arranged an install date to fit my schedule. My flooring install was completed in the two days he estimated, with all furniture carefully and safely moved and replaced as it had been before the work was done. And best of all, my new floors are absolutely beautiful! Ray's prices are extremely reasonable for the quality product and workmanship provided. I highly recommend Ray's Flooring for any wood, laminate or vinyl flooring project. You won't be disappointed.

They were kind, prompt and you could tell they knew what they were doing. They were very clean and took all removed flooring and carpet with them. I did not have to dispose of anything. Originally they stated two days for two avg rooms around 12x12 plus a foyer and they were done in a day. Very happy with my new floor and Ray's Flooring!
