Dan Higgins Wood Flooring Warehouse

We had hardwood floors installed on most of our first andsecond floors and Dan Higgin's crew completed it in about five days. Their contractors were extremely skillled and did an excellent job. I would surely used them again.

The work is beautifully done in the end. There were some problems with one of the workmen, who left some details undone or not perfectly done, but Dan Higgins (the owner) personally saw to it that the job was finished perfectly at no extra cost to us. In fact they waived the cost of a custom-made piece by way of compensation for our trouble. I understand that the workman in question is no no longer with the company. This is a first-class outfit that knows their trade and is serious about doing a perfect job every time, at a competitive price. I can recommend them without reservation.

He does a very great job at an economical price. The 2 men that were here were the nicest 2 workers you could you have.

They were excellent. They had a great team. It took them most of the day but it was perfection. It was very good. They had a salesman come to the house and he spent a good hour with me going over things. He pointed out the levels of quality. He said they basically had the best of the middle of the road. We didn't have to have the best wood floor; we wanted something in the middle. He was very honest about the quality and everything. He went over everything they would do in the home including the quarter-round and the closets. He was very thorough in what would be done and he was pretty clear. That impressed me because I had other salesmen that only spent 10 minutes. The workers were younger guys and they were very energetic. It was great. I like that they only do wood floors. Their prices were pretty reasonable. The only thing is that they wanted a little too much to tear out the old carpet so we had someone else do that.

Top notch from going in and talking to Chuck through the intall. Crew was great very professional. Job took 4 days to complete, had quotes for 8 days from other companies. They did a great job of cleaning up after each day and after the job was complete. They did an amazing job on the floor install but was more impressive was the detail work around fireplaces and stairs. Couldn't be happier.

Salesman came out to measure and was right on with how much material we needed. My husband took up the old floor himself and asked if someone from company could come out and check if he did it correctly. They gladly obliged. Dan Higgins is a man of integrity. He came out to my home himself to complete some minor finishing touches.

We have used Dan Higgins several times since 2011 to install hardwood floors in our house. They are not the cheapest but their service quality of work product availability, and follow-up is worth it. They are flexible with coming out to do estimates, provide the quote the same day they come out, and are very responsive. The installers were respectful of our home, attentive to cleanup, and showed us how to care for our new floors. The quality of work is amazing - they were able to run the planks from one end of our house to the other despite our lack of straight drywall! No corners cut whatsoever.We will continue to use them as we improve our home.

It looks great and I am happy with it. They were very helpful and they were competent. They seemed to know exactly what they were doing. I think one can expect that they are really good at doing wooden floors! I think they are fairly priced, I don't think it was a bargain. I will absolutely use them again - I would like to get rid of all the carpets!

Their prices are the lowest and they have the best reputation around. If we decide to go with hardwood floors, we will use them. They gave us a sample to hang on too. Their price is based on which product you decide to use. Their knowledge was great. I liked their selection.

I contacted Dan Higgins Wood Flooring Warehouse on a Wednesday and they came over for an estimate on Thursday. Chuck was very thorough, friendly and went through each item thoroughly. I scheduled the installation for the following Friday. When Friday came, the men showed up when they said they would. They worked diligently through the day and the end result was beautiful. They cleaned up and if I did not know any better, I wouldn't have known they were there. They took the old carpet and disposed of it for me, so no unsightly carpet sitting by the curb.

Very positive experience in terms of quality, professionalism, price (about the same as other venders, but a good value). Worth the trip out to Medford, N.J.

I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of my floor install by Dan Higgins. The crew was respectful and professional and nice. They moved my larger pieces of furniture for me. They cleaned up everything. The floor looks beautiful. Super satisfied!

They were fine. I had no problems with them at all.

Work went according to plan ( 5 day schedule) > Everyday the work areas were left swept and clean. However, the sweping was not done on the last day of the job, due to an emergency absence of the job supervisor. The parent company did send out their specialist to correct any small punch list items ( several times). Dan Higgins did work with us on pricing to allow us to bring the job in at our budget level. Overall, we were very pleased with the Dan Higgins Flooring Co.

overall it was an excellent experience our salesman was informed and very good at sharing his knowledge. I really felt that I had the knowledge to make the decisions that needed to be made. I felt comfortable relying on chuck's expertise when I didn't know what direction to have the flooring laid (chuck made the perfect choice.) The job was completed in the time we were promised. The crew that did the installation was friendly and hardworking they did a beautiful job. When I noticed a split in one of the boards a few days later the company quickly scheduled a repair at no cost to me. I couldn't be happier

They are family owned company. They have good products. I had no problems with them.

They had good products and a good selection. They were very helpful in terms of helping is making decision between different floors and what would work best. The installers did a great job installing it and everything was on time as promised.

He was prompt and informative using email, however. Answered all of my questions.

He did an unbelievable job at my son's place, so I used him. He does very nice work and he is very meticulous. He is a little on the expensive side, but he does everything by himself and I have to do nothing. The work is done well and I am happy with it. I guess it should be a little cheaper to me, but what I have seen him do for my son and what he does for me a couple of hundred bucks extra is worth it. The finishing work was done really nice. He took time to do the molding and then match the floor which was difficult in my mind. I don't know how he did but for me the work was done fine. I didn't get a laminate, but I got the real wood which was pre-finished. He has got a selection of gorgeous wood. He was available, friendly and always on time. He knew what he was doing. You may get a better price outside. I am retired and money does not come freely to me, but this was worth it. I think the workmanship was really good.

They did provide us with a quote first. I am not sure where we got their name. We visited them at their warehouse. They were very professional and helpful. Their prices were very good. We were impressed with the whole thing so we hired them. We were extremely pleased. They are totally responsible and they will do anything to make the experience a pleasurable one. As far as workman were concerned, they did exactly what they said they would do. Every one of them were extremely competent and very courteous. They came and did exactly what they said they would do in the time frame and within the price they said they would. We are very pleased with it.

The flooring was delivered about 5 days ahead of time, so it could acclimate to the temp & humidity of the house. They laid the floor down in one half day, then came back another day to stain it and another to polyurethane it. It wasn't until they left that we noticed gaps between one section of the cabinets and the floor--we could see the basement through them. This meant we had to order quarterround from the cabinet company and have our contractor install it later. We were also not asked if we wanted water-based or oil-based polyurethane finish--the workers said that water-based was the new way, implying that oil-based wasn't available anymore. Our painter told us later that oil-based is still used and much better for kitchen floors.

Great to work with! We visited their showroom and they were super-helpful, gave us a good hour of their time (they had a play area for my toddler, which was a godsend). Their price for the wood itself was lower than Lowe's, Home Depot, and Lumber Liquidators. Their labor is a bit more expensive, but they do not subcontract and the work was excellent. The day of the installation, they arrived on time and were finished early. The price was exactly as quoted. And I love my new floor! We will use them again when we remodel our kitchen.

The workers were very polite, and warned me before hand about common problems -- eg, removing all pictures from the walls, etc. They worked quickly (the whole house took about 4 days), and replaced all the furniture with felt pads on the legs. I ahve no complaints at all.

Everything was extremely well handled from the first phone call through to the completion. The measurement visit happened the next business day after my first call. The company stayed in touch with me and confirmed visits, showed up on time, and was able to complete the work ahead of schedule and on cost. Could not be happier with the results. No games and very professional.

Everything went well from beginning to end. Someone actually answered the phone when I called, I did not get a machine. The estimate appt was scheduled, Chuck was punctual and his estimate for the amount of flooring and baseboards needed was spot on. I paid the exact amount quoted. I ordered the Brazilian Teak flooring from another vendor. The Brazilian teak floor cracked and cupped within a month. I contacted the distributor and Dan Higgins Flooring to see how to remedy this. Tim from Dan Higgins came out right away. He worked with the distributor. They determined the issue was with the flooring and not the installation. A new floor was ordered and reinstalled at no additional cost to me. The new floor has been in for almost a month now and everything is great. Eventhough Dan Higgns Flooring was not at fault, they were very responsive and very helpful in getting my issue with the distributor resolved. I can't thank them enough.
