Chester was a great hire. Not only is he super knowledgeable since I was new to this, but timely and the quality was great! I had damaged hard wood floors and he laid down high quality vinyl laminate connecting 3 large rooms, including around round stairs and under kitchen appliances. Would Highly recommend and will be hiring again for a stairs project in the near future.

Chet is a craftsman ,takes pride in his work . He takes his time to make sure everything is done correctly,and looks it best. Have hired again for more floor work in a week.

Great Experience, really. Chet does excellent work, but I especially love the thoroughness and clarity of his explanations. We had a very clear one page contract that he and I both signed which spelled out exactly what was to be done- in order- as well as the dates/timeline and total price. Very professional, yet also very personable … a nice guy. I highly recommend him.

Chet was great to work with from the start. From the first phone call, he clearly outlined what to expect and answered all our questions. He stopped by twice before the job started, one for the quote and showed us what to consider (direction the flooring should run) and putting the floors we chose against the different walls to confirm that was the look we wanted. The second time he came to show us what the stairs looked like under the carpet. Throughout the job, he sent us photo updates and called for questions and took care of little things we asked during the final walkthrough. Overall, Chet is one of those nice people you would want to work with and he’s definitely a floor guy.

He was responsive and professional. He suggested different solutions to my problem. I would recommend him to all my friends and family.

Long story short- Chet moved to Maryland without fixing my floor, leaving behind footprints in the stain. He promised to send $400 since he was moving and couldnâ t fix it which I mentioned I would accept but then we never heard from him again- no texts back, no check in the mail, and an outstanding Venmo request from me to him since May. My fiancé and I are first time home buyers and were so excited to work on our first house. This left such a sour taste in my mouth that we were completely ignored after following up 4 times. We really liked Chet, heâ s a nice guy, we even had bought him Scotch, but this truly ruined our entire experience with him. After he had re-finished the hardwoods in our entire house we noticed footprints all over the house and we hadnâ t even moved in yet.. Not only were there footprints but the top of our stairs were so dug into with the sander it looked like feathering. Chet did agree to come back and fix it which we appreciated. He fixed 4 of the 5 rooms that were messed up but then he moved and we never heard from him again. Wish he would have just responded back after offering the refund.

Just an overall nice guy who got the job done! Very happy.

Mr. Brown is a pleasure to work with. Talented and hardworking. Diligent in cleaning up after the job is done. The job was a difficult one because of the age and shape of the house, but I couldnâ t be happier with the outcome!

Mr. Brown was professional from start to finish, he arrived as per our contract, he was completed as per our contract, he was professional, curious, respectful to our situation considering we have an elderly mother, his work was outstanding i would highly recommend him and i would definitely hire him again, most important he did waste my time or his time. Chet is a true professional. From his knowledge of his craft to his pure passion for what he does, I couldnâ t have hired a better person/company. Chet went above and beyond to give us the best outcome. He was respectful and courteous to everyone he met. Chet was the 3rd company I requested an estimate from and it was true to the saying â The Third times a charm.â Chet gave me more information on the type of wood, pros and cons of the project in the first 30 minutes than 2 other contractors gave me in 5 hours of discussing the project. I will definitely be hiring Chet for future work. I canâ t recommend him enough. If you are on the fence I can assure you that Chet is the best man for the job. My wife and I will be looking to Chet for all future flooring projects for our home. Chet is a wonderful human being, constantly thinking of what is best for us. What can he do to make this project run efficiently and be cost effective. Looking out for our wallet just as if it was his own. I contacted Chester, The Floor Guy about floor install, and after contacting several other contractors, I decided that his quote was the best. Chet came and installed the floors with his son who was also nice and polite. They worked very efficiently and informed me of any potential problems during the install and worked throughly. I’m thankful he was able to do my floors in such a short amount of time and right before the Christmas holiday. I will be keeping their business card for any future endeavors. Highly recommended if your browsing and considering an installer.

Chet was very polite and knowledgeable. I hired him to refinish my wood floors. He quoted me a reasonable price and let me know how long the project would take. He was done in the amount of days he said and always left the work area clean. He works with his son who is a very pleasant young man. My floors came out beautiful. Chet even advised that I have some molding replaced around my floors which I did, which made the floors look even better. I would recommend the Floor Guy to my family and friends and will be using them again.
