I read about my dryer issue on the internet and decided to engage Pena, upon reading several positive reviews about them. I liked the open communication and their professional approach in taking care of the issue. The price may have been a little higher than my expected range but the dealing was upfront, timely and there is no "bait and switch". To me I got a no-fuss solution for my dryer which had been emitting squeaky noises, within a day after contacting them. Will use them again in future for any appliance issue. Thank You.

They did not communicate with me at all. They looked at my dishwasher alone in the house with my tenants kids. They told the kids to call the plumber and then took the money for the inspection from them, cash only. They never called me, the adult, to explain the issue they found. They were rude on the phone, and now they refuse to answer my calls. Absolutely unprofessional. There was also a discrepancy in the invoice amount to what was agreed on. The owner refused to take my call after the technician left and when she finally did, hung up on me after yelling at us that it is her business. In the beginning, my picked up all my calls.

The repair person, who came go fix my washing machine, gave me his card because he was ordering a part to come back to fix my dryer. I was to call him to make an appointment. When I called to make the appointment, one of the numbers on his card was out of service and the other number on his card, my call went to voice mail, and I was not able to leave a message because there were too many messages on his voice mail. I never heard from him again (this was about 3 weeks ago).

Great experience and awesome service. Dany stayed on top and kept me informed of the progress and pricing. The tech quickly diagnosed the issues with the dryer and the oven. Parts were ordered and arrived in one day and the repairs were quickly completed. Pena is definitely on the top of my contacts in the future.

Part $65 Labor $120 Service call $115 Total bill $300 for 20-25 minutes to change an oven heating part. They do not factor the service call fee into the total bill. They were also more than 2hrs late but called to tell me they are on their way.

So I called them to get my refrigerator checked, then they said they will charge 115$ + tax ($121.90 to be exact) just to come and diagnose the problem. Even if you use their services after the diagnosis the initial amount cannot be used towards their recommendation. So then they told me the issue is with the control board, so I asked them for the part number, which they did not tell me. They gave me the prices of $200 (part) $150 (labor) + taxes. Every time I called to ask for the part number, they told me their technician is on the road and is not reachable. In the meantime, I called the manufacturer, got the part number, ordered the part through their website, and paid $122.44 including tax and shipping with a 1-year warranty. Whereas Pena was offering me a 3-month warranty. I did not get the message from Dany from Pena appliance about the part number for 10 days from the day the guy stopped by for the initial visit. To give my opinion in short, Pena Appliances is only interested in getting as many customers as they can get and getting their money. They are not at all interested in customer service, they are just taking advantage of being the only appliance repair company around Parsippany. If Pena is the only option for appliance repair you can find here, then look elsewhere.
