Did not arrive 9/13 or 9/14. We called evening of 9/14 to see where we were in the schedule. He said they would be out the following day to do the roof. Around 11 AM on 9/15 Mr. Marks arrived and announced they would not be working that day, just dropping off supplies as rain was predicted for the afternoon. He said they would be back on Saturday, 9/17, to work. No call or show on 9/17. He knocked on the door at 8:45 AM on Sunday, 9/18, and said a family member was ill the day before. He couldn't call us and cancel the Saturday work as he didn't have our number with him at the hospital (we had left several messages on his phone). His crew worked until the job was complete. He added an additional $600 to replace some bad wood and shingles not in the original estimate. Our complaint is that he did not match the roof shingles at all! It looks horrible. I complained and he said that it was the best match he could make as the color of our roof is discontinued (?). I said the roof is brown, there are brown roofs everywhere. He said it was rust and that it was discontinued. Tan is not a good match, even if the main color was discontinued, brown is the closer match. My husband and I disagreed over whether to pay him or not. My husband said he did the work, he should be paid. I said it isn't done properly (the color match looks awful) he should NOT be paid. It rained today and the gutters leak between the gutter and roof in two places. We have left messages for Mr. Marks but have not received a response. After seeing the roof in daylight (when the crew finished working the day before it was around 8PM) my husband agrees we should not have paid for the job. Our advice to others would be use another company. This company did not keep us informed of their schedule, did not use proper care in matching the existing roof (even after we questioned him), and is not answering our calls regarding the gutters. I wish I could have attached a photo to show what the roof looks like now...just imagine brown with big light tan s pots. Awful.
