The work went very well. No problems. The company owner really is awesome and the workers are attentive. The work was done on time and they did everything that was promised. The area was cleaned up better then it was before the arrived. Will use them for everything going forward. Very big difference dealing with a good owner company like this one then dealing with other big frustrating companies.
Description of Work: They installed new ductwork in the home and there is a huge difference in system performance. The work was custom and done very neatly. Definitely listen to their advice, they really are experts!

Provider installed two new air returns. Took the better part of two days. Then returned on the weekend to check everything out. He was meticulous about his work and it shows. We are seeing a great improvement in our home. Much better air circulation. More even temperatures throughout the house. I also use this provider to do semiannual maintenance on our heating and air-conditioning system. In addition he cleans the ductwork and dryer vents. We are very happy with his service and will continue to use him.
Description of Work: Provider suggested that our heating system was overworking because we did not have sufficient air returns. When the weather dropped into the teens, our heating system stopped working properly.

My air-conditioner broke and we were going through a heat wave and I need air-conditioning due to asthma and cancer issues, colon, things like that. They came out and they did the service. They were very helpful. Chris was very understanding over my situation and they came out right away and they fixed the problem. And also an A after Hurricane Sandy.

The owner was very responsive, assisting with a/c issues on a weekend off-hours. Price was a little high, but heat was excessive with infant in the house and service needed ASAP. After determining that the compressor was bad, a quote was provided for a replacement compressor, coil and line set, along with installation service. Installation occured the following day, and upon completion, I was offered an 8-year parts and labor warranty. This warranty was NOT a manufacturer's extended warranty, but a warranty offered by Quality Comfort. Within 1 year, the system began to experience a slow coolant leak, requiring service. When I called for service siting the warranty, I was told that the warranty no longer applied because I did not have "routine maintenance" performed on the system by Quality Comfort. Furthermore, I was told that the system leak was my fault, because the filter was "clogged." This explanation was given along with a long discription of how my filter was not a good setup, and should be changed to a very thin filter (I have since confirmed this to be inaccurate information with PSE&G). The next year, I again needed coolant added to the system. This time, I had PSE&G do the work. PSE&G did the work and suggested I contact Quality Comfort again to get the system repaired. I did call again, and got the same story regarding the need for maintenance to be performed by Quality Comfort. IN ADDITION.... this time, I was also told that having PSE&G touch the system was another action that voids the warranty (surprise!!!!). In other words, I was sold a warranty that only worked if I spent additional money to have my system maintained by Quality Comfort. There was NEVER any interest in actually honoring the warranty. The system leak is now worse, and I am forced to pursue manufacturer's warranty information without the assistance of the installer.
Description of Work: Old A/C compressor and coil removed, and new compressor, coil, and line set installed.

I installed a new ac for this member, and he had a warranty through the comany. With the warranty, came with normal terms and conditioins, just like any other warranty would. Conditions are that the system must be serviced every year to maintain relibility and to take care of preventive repairs as they age. I even explained that new systems can devolp problems, they are just machines. When doing a annual early preventive maintenance, we have the opportunity to take care of any problem, long before the system is needed to use. In his problem, he opted not to call for routine annual service to save on money, and rolled the dice. He had a problem, and called during the heat wave. I explained to him that we need to follow the rules of the warranty agreement, and the rules were in place for a reason, to take care of problems before I became busy at no cost, and to keep the system healthy. His probelm could have easily been taken care of in early spring during the start up and maintenance. I told him that there would be a service call fee to come over since annual maintance wasnt performed, and I also explianed that if someone else works on the system, its void because I cant fix other peoples probelms when they make them or if they do something incorrect. He had a very dirty filter that caused the sytem to freeze, and I explained that because he didnt change the filter, that he may have caused a leak in the freon lines due to it freezing, and that isnt covered in the warranty, -owner caused probelms. He is mad because I wouldnt break the policy rules after he broke the warranty agreement and neglted to change his filters when he is suppossed to, and he wanted me to pay his repair for him after he caused the failure. I never declined to help him, and i wanted to help him. people who take the time to complain on these review sites often dont tell the full story and are on a war path to purposley destruct a companys name because something didnt go there way. Very rare do you see a really happy real customer doing a review. beware, most reviews are fake on these sites, and are created by the companies to give themselfs a good marketing score. many times, you have people who just dont like you, or local competitors creating review remarks just to slander you and make their company look better, and their remarks are fake.

it was a terrible experience. he didn't seem to be very experienced in his work. when questioned about necessary parts for repair, he was vague about expense and completion. i had to finally get someone else.

I, the owner, not an employee went out to these people late at night ON New Years day which was a Friday and gave them IMMEDIATE service. There circuit board was broken, and It was a Lennox part, which had to special ordered. Since it was Friday night, and a holiday weekend. Since the manufacture was closed for the night AND the weekend, I could not give them a firm price for the repair since I didn't know how much the part would cost or the availability since it needed to be ordered and for me to check on it. That would explain the vagueness. I told them that I would call first thing in the morning Monday when Lennox reopens as that was the best I could do. My universal boards would not fit the their system, as that is the problem with Lennox I told them. I recommended them staying at a hotel for the time being AND I offered them space heaters. I gave them immediate service, good pricing with no extra emergency or after hour fees, and these people are mad because their system broke at a bad time and blaming me. They forget that they never maintenance their system to avoid repairs and breakdowns! They called the company who installed the furnace the next day, and he had some extra stock on that furnace line and was able to help them, so don't let grumpy customers fool you! Look at the date of the complaint, they were lucky I answered the phone to begin with! Everyone knows that you cant order parts on a holiday night and weekend! Additionally, the customer signed very happily that I completed the service call in a "Satisfactory manner", understanding the circumstances. This customer is disgruntle for some oddball reason, and is defaming my company, which i now will be dealing with them legally soon.
