My house is 20 years old. We recently had a torrential rainstorm. Sitting in my 2nd floor office, rain began leaking through the ceiling. I looked for a roofing company with a good reputation and called Wagner Roofing in Flemington, NJ. They were quick to respond and sent Mark out who climbed up on top of my roof and detected leaks in flashing around the vent pipes. He caulked all of them and even cleaned out my dryer vent. He gave me an estimate on a new roof but that was it. “No charge for today,” said Mark. He never tried to sell us anything or scare us. His honesty and integrity were so refreshing that I was a little shell shocked initially, and so impressed I decided to go for a new roof anyway. The quote was right on the money, as well! They were about a month out but they arrived this week with a crew of 8. So organized! I have a pretty big roof with a few gables, but they got the entire job done from 7 am to 5:45 pm, working the cleanup in the dark. Foreman, Lito, was very helpful and made sure I was happy every step of the way. In my opinion, this is a company that should be patronized for your roofing needs!

Overall very good. They were fair, prompt, polite, and did a nice job. Communication could have been a bit better as I heard nothing for weeks after giving them the go-ahead, then one-day's notice that they were coming the next day (I was out of town). Overall no big deal, and like I said, they were very good, but probably something they can work on to improve.

Initially, Mark tried to fix the problem with roofing tar (patch)around the skylights and sewer vent. While this appeared to help for awhile the leak came back. We then decided to fix the area around 2 of the lower skylights since that was where the water was coming into the house. Unfortunately, the leak was still there, so we decided to redo the whole section of roof up to the ridge including another skylight up higher on the roof. The problem for me was having to temporarily remove some solar panels in that area. Amy worked with the solar panel people to coordinate the work and everything went smoothly. The guys from Wagner did a great job replacing the upper skylight and so far there have been no more leaks. Although it did end up costing approximately $6000.00 for the whole job, I believe Mark did everything he could to try and save me money, I have to commend them for sticking it out until the job was completed to my satisfaction. I would definitely use them again if I need more roofing work. (Hopefully not for awhile).

It went perfectly. Lido and the gang were very professional - they got here on time, worked hard all day, did the tear-off and replacement in one day, cleaned up all the mess - everything you could ask for. Lido explained how they would proceed and answered our questions politely and well. Wagner was a little flexible on price up-front. And - they cleaned the gutters while they were up there. Solid, cost-effective work, decent to good communication, cleanup was better than average. Crew seemed to be efficient and know what it was doing. Definitely would use again and recommend.

The crew came at 7am, as promised. A dumster quickly followed. There were 11 guys on the roof at some points and it took them only five hours to finish the job. They were efficient and professional.

It was like watching Batteries Not Included. The crew showed up bright and early, draped the whole house to protect plants from falling debris, and had the roof down to bare wood by about 9 am. They were done with the entire house by 2:30. Perfect job, and even volunteered to reroof our shed at no extra cost so that the shingles would match. They also fixed some areas of rotten sheathing at no charge, and built a roof cricket to shed water away from a problem area.

From the very first contact with Wagner Roofing, we knew that we would use them for our roof. We had other roofers out for estimates and they looked at our multi-level roof from the driveway and spat out a number. Wagner's representative actually took a ladder out of his truck and got on our roof (imagine that!) so that he could give us as specific an overview of the work that needed to be done as he could. He also spent a good amount of time with my husband and I, explaining the differences in shingle manufacturers and the products that would be used.
Another factor that pushed us to use Wagner was that they provided a list of addresses of clients' homes so that we could see the shingles on roofs in the daylight instead of just a small rectangle in the sample book. The colors looked much different "in the real world" and that helped guide our decision as far as manufacturer and color went.
After a couple of false-starts (cancellation due to rain, for which we were called days in advance), we had a solid date for our roof. We were told the crew would be here at 7:00 am and get started. To be honest, I thought 7-ish to drop off the shingles, then have coffee and breakfast to start the day. Nope; our doorbell rang at 7:00 sharp and the crew was busily unloading tools and materials while the foreman spoke with us about what was going to happen. There was no wasted time; our roof was stripped of the old layers and shingles started going on just as quickly.
Again, we assumed they would be here until 4 or 5:00 pm, but they finished before 1 because of the machine-like precision every crew member used. They were courteous, professional and left our yard spotless!
Their prices were in-line with and better than some of the other roofers and their service and professionalism were head-and-shoulders above the other people we had to the house. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
