TJ Ortu Plumbing & Heating

Mr. Ortu was both prompt and courteous. He performed competently and had both toilets installed and a slow drain clear in only a couple of hours. He clearly knows what he is doing and the installations are, for want of a better word, beautiful. For a nominal fee he even took away all of the old hardware. On top of everything, his price was very reasonable. I would, and am planning to, use him for a couple more jobs that need to be done around the house.

He came on a holiday weekend. He saved us! We couldn't get anyone to come out. We have been in our house for 15 years. We have used different service providers. His price was amazing. He is an awesome guy and honest. We love him.

TJ is extremely pleasant. He arrived to the house within hours of my initial contact. Saved me money by rebuilding the valve, instead of replacing it, which is what I thought was going to be required. He and his Associate were very helpful and completed the job in less than an hour. I highly recommend him for any of your plumbing needs!

We have been battling low water pressure in our house especially with our shower. He was the first plumber we had to the house that actually took apart the handles and see what the problem was and fixed it and made recommendation on how to avoid the problem in future. He was prompt, courteous, professional and charged a fair price compared to our experiences before. He spent time with us answering all our questions about other issues that we may want to address again. Would highly recommend them and they will be our plumber going forward.

Everything went smoothly. TJ responds quickly to all calls and will search for items needed. We have called him several times and the price is always fair and the work is always completed well and in a timely manner.

TJ did a great job. Not only did he come by the same day that I called him, he fixed it same day too. The work looks great -- so much better than the original parts did. He put some improvements in place to prevent it from happening again and he did it at a very reasonable price. I'd been trying to find a plumber to do this and do it without breaking the bank for WEEKS. I'm very glad I found him and I'll be calling him for my future plumbing needs!

He came when he said he would, did the job in a timely manner with no fuss, no muss and I felt good about my decision to hire him. I've already given his information to a few people.

TJ was very responsive and hard working. Since all the pipes were in the wall and frozen he had to do a MacGyver to properly pin point all leaks. He was here for 8 hours the first day and didn't leave until 2am. I would highly recommend him and will personally use him on all future projects.

I called TJ just before 7AM and left a message. He called me back within 10 minutes, told me he'd be there at 9:30. He and his apprentice showed up on time and put surgical booties over their workboots! They spent about 20 minutes investigating the leak and then didn't charge me for the visit since it was not a plumbing problem (an appliance needs repair). It was a very pleasant experience. I appreciate his honesty, courtesy, respect for my home and generosity for not charging for a service call. Needless to say I tipped them and decided to write a review which I do not take the time to do very often. I will definitely call him again for future plumbing jobs.

TJ was great! We saw he had good reviews on Angie's List, and gave him a call. He came out on short notice to fix a leak we had in our furnace's pressure relief system. He was very professional, informative, and polite. He showed up on time, and remedied the problem. Would definitely call him again for any future plumbing/heating work.

Tj is wonderful! He promptly answered his phone this morning (Sunday) and agreed to come out to inspect a leak in the garage celling. Upon arrival, he identified the leak as coming from the master bath and made the repair within an hour. I was pleasantly surprised that he did not charge a premium for working on Sunday; his price was very reasonable and, more importantly, he was extremely honest (I was prepared for a major repair) I highly recommend him.

I called TJ to investigate the problem and give an estimate. He replied and worked out with my tenant directly a time that would be appropriate for both of them. This saved me a great deal of hassle being the middle man. TJ diagnosed the problem and came back at a scheduled time with my tenant. He repaired both problems I had very quickly. He then called me to assure me the work was done. I called my tenant who was home at the time TJ did the repairs and he was impressed by TJ's ability, knowledge, courtesy and overall professional ability.

TJ came to the rescue as we hired him to fine tooth comb the entire plumbing system and fix whatever was still leaking before we closed on the property. He fixed multiple burst pipes and leaks from the shower cartridge and only missed a tiny leak coming from the toilet which was an easy fix for my husband just to replace the toilet valve. Overall, we were impressed with how quick he returned our calls and let us know everything that was going on as well as how quickly he could come to fix everything. The price was more than reasonable and we would recommend him to family and friends for sure! Thank you TJ!

It worked! Now, I am not afraid that my pipes will burst from the freezing temperatures.

TJ was great, my tenants complained of a water heater leak, he came out very quickly and was able to assess and change out the water heater in a timely manner. Very professional. My tenants and their baby twins are very happy and can now have a warm bath. Thanks TJ!!!

TJ was very responsive to my service request. An appointment to do the installation of a kitchen faucet was quickly made. He showed up on time and the installation was done in less than an hour. The words that describe TJ's service are prompt, professional and courteous. I will definitely call him again when in need of a plumber.

I called TJ and explained the issues - Banging loud pipes. TJ asked great questions and had a good idea what the problem was. He came prepared and replaced the water pressure valve which solved the problem. While he was here we had him replace a flapper in one of the toilets. TJ was smart, prompt, customer service savvy and did a great job.

This was the first time I used the option to buy the service on the Angie's list web site. TJ called me same day I purchased service. We made an appointment for the same week. TJ showed up on time, explained exactly what he was going to do. His work was professional, he cleaned up after finishing and asked if I wanted to keep old faucet I was very pleased with TJ's work and also the ability to purchase the service right off of Angie's List.

TJ had to fight with the drain pipe as the original installer put the cap in backwards, so it had to be drilled out/replaced so he could snake the line. The toilet had been having clogging issues since I moved in about a year ago, and after taking the toilet off, he discovered a rubber gasket that was pinched, narrowing the opening almost completely. He removed that, put a new wax seal down, re-anchored the toilet, and caulked around the bottom. He also answered some questions I had about other possible work (that I'm definitely going to have done now). TJ was extremely courteous and professional. He took the time to do the job right and to clean up when he was done. I will definitely call him again and have already recommended him to 2 friends.

TJ was on time and responded quickly to my call. He spent about an hour diagnosing the problem with my hot water heater. He called the manufacturer while he was here and discovered that the needed parts were under warranty and would be sent free of charge. Once the parts arrived, TJ was here 24 hours later and installed everything quickly and correctly, all for a fair price.

He responded with minutes, and set up the appointment for the next day to give me a price. I agreed to the price, and he did the work right then. He was very profession. I would not hesitate to call him again.

TJ responded within a few hours of my original post. The second person to respond was 2 days later. Not only did TJ respond within an hour or so, but he made time that very night to stop by and assess the projects. Very professional. He even put on shoe covers upon entering the house as to not track any dirt inside. He showed up exactly when he said he would to perform the work and didn't take too long to get it all done. After everything was completed, he showed me every thing that he had done and even gave pointers on how to maintain things propery. Prompt, professional, excellent work, and great price. I will be using TJ Ortu Plumbing and Heating again.

TJ replaced our 50 gallon natural gas water heater. He was extremely professional during the whole process. He cleaned up after it was done & everything worked great. Due to his responsiveness, professionalism, and fair price, we will not hesitate to work with him again in the future and will refer him to others.
