John from Valente Plumbing did a SUBERB job diagnosing and and finding a solution to a mysterious leak in our garage. Everyone from Valente is personable and knowledgable. I always call them.

It was maybe $300 or $400. He’s good, that’s why I use him. He is reasonable. It’s still working. He calls back within 24 hours or if you’ve got an emergency, then he is quicker. I have no problems with him at all. He’s just a plumber, he’s good. Does good work.

Joe's quote for the job was competitive with the other 2 bids I got. This was the first time he had done work at our house but as he was the plummer for our local temple where my wife is Executive Director she was already familiar with his work. The removal of the old boiler, oil tank, installation of the new boiler and insulation of the pipes went fine. There was no mess left behind and Joe gave me instructions for the weekly maintenance of the new boiler during the heating season. Overall we were very pleased with the work he performed

We are very happy with the plumbing job done at our home. First they needed to cap a gas line and refit another gas line in kitchen for new range scheduled to deliver as part of our kitchen remodel. They also installed shut off valves under sink and for gas line. A new outside faucet was installed that had been broken for years - we recommend them highly! ?

Drain was mostly clogged with hair. The drain is completely after being snaked. The two plumbers were very professional and they cleaned up after they finished their work.

Did this 2 years in a row. Could have easily shown me just to flip the lever (for the next winter) to release and fill it up. Since I wasn't informed of this, charged me a $125.00 service call the following year to do something that took 2 seconds. I could have saved the money and do it myself.

Was slightly behind schedule due to an emergency call, which we only found out when we called to check on him. However, once arrived was pleasant and honest, would call again. Did not end up charging for the call or small courtesy fixes at all.

Joe came last year and replaced faucet in kitchen and added a soap dispenser. Gave me 2 options. At that point I couldn't shop around to compare prices or faucets.  After he left, I realized I had paid over $600 for a faucet I had never heard of.  It was Wolverine Brass that he had in his van. I called the company and got names of other plumbers in the area that sell that brand and compared prices.  The other plumbers would have sold it for around $500 including installation and suggested I ask for a refund.  Joe did agree (after I called MasterCard and complained) to give me a $100 refund.  I could have bought a similar brand around $200-300.
Now a year later, the soap dispenser broke and I called him to come fix it or replace it.  He did not call me back and ignored my phone calls and email after he realized it was me.
Bottom line:  He is quick to respond to a phone call for new business and is punctual with the appointment. But, he way overcharges for his products.  By using a brand that is not sold in stores, he can charge more because it is hard to compare prices.  He chose to ignore a past client that he knows he will not get business from because of past problems.  There was no "goodwill" for a follow up to fix the soap dispenser that was only a year old when it broke.  He wanted me to buy another one and pay $90 for his service call.

They were very neat, very professional, and friendly. They seemed to be very organized. Their pricing was good. The quality of their work was excellent. I didn't have any problems with them.

Came the first time and fixed the slop sink without a problem. Didn't have a replacement ring for the faucet in the 1st floor basement so he had to come back for that. Didn't have a cheap reaplacement faucet for the 2nd floor bathroom, so he promised to write that info down for me (which faucet to get) and come back FIRST THING Friday morning. He didn't leave me the faucet info as promised, and didn't show up Friday morning. When I called, they said I was on the schedule for that afternoon which was not convenient for me at all. He did call me with the specifics on the faucet, however. Second visit, installed the faucet on the second floor, but didn't attach the drain stopper to the faucet. He repaired the faucet on the first floor. Waited to call them for a while because of a death in the family. In the meantime, the bathtub has not been draining well ever since the faucet fix. When I did call Mr. Valente, he took responsibility for the unattached drain stopper on the new faucet on the 2nd floor, but gave me 3 minutes worth of talking on why it can't be his fault that the bathtub is not draining well. He refused to snake it without an additional payment of $125. Each problem in itself is not bad, but ALL the problems together made for a very frustrated customer (me).

Had a clogged drain in the main line attached to the washer. Call was returned promptly and person was on time. Did the work and solved the problem quickly with minimal work and time.

When I turned on my furnace for the first time this season, rusty water leaked out of the 4 old-fashioned steam radiators on to my wood floors and rugs, and also around the boiler in the basement. Joe Valente responded immediately, told me what to do before they could get there, and then arrived promptly when he said they would. A water valve on the furnace was replaced and valves on the radiators as well, and all is again working well.

I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR THE PAST EIGHT YEARS AND I FIND THAT THEY DO GOOD WORK. I FEEL THAT THE PRICE MAY BE HIGH, BUT ON THE OTHER HAND THEY GAVE ME A GOOD PRICE ON A NEW BOILER.
