LIVING WATER

I had no leaks in my roof before he and his crew began work; now I have leaks in my back porch roof that will cost $1200 to repair, but I'd rather not have Mr. Saccomanno back to do the work, since his company created the leaks. As it was, his crew did most of the work anyway. He would show up when it was getting dark and start hammering. There were odd things right from the start: I had to pay the dumpster guy separately, and he also wanted me to give a separate check for supplies, which I didn't do. I had a lot of extra wood sitting on my lawn for weeks - so I wonder if he didn't use all the wood he was supposed to use, why would a professional roofer order so much extra wood? I expressed concern about the third floor being too hot - he said the new roof would make it cooler. It is actually MUCH HOTTER now on the third floor. I told him months before work began that I needed the work done by Labor Day - of course it wasn't. He showed up one day unannounced, when I was painting the deck. He belligerently demanded to be paid the $2000 balance - I had already paid him more up front than contracted to do - and I said 'your contract says I pay the balance after it passes inspection,' so he rushed the inspection through. All in all, it was an unpleasant experience, I wound up with a substandard roof, with leaks, and a very hot third floor. Since my sister had gotten a cheap roof - $8000 - from Roof 4 Roof, I didn't realize that $9500 would be a substandard roof. Better to pay more and hire someone who does better work. I can't understand all the good ratings he gets, maybe he does good work for some people, but my experience is that my new roof is much worse than my old one. I'm very sorry I hired him.

TERRIBLE. I never saw the permit and still have not received the information I need to warranty the shingles. The town did a rush job inspecting it so that Mr. Saccomanno could be paid. I will explain why. Mr. Saccomanno was angry that I had not paid the balance - even though I paid more up front than his contract required. I said "your contract says that I pay the balance after the roof passes inspection." He left me with $1200 of damage on my back porch roof, and multiple leaks. I had no leaks before he and his crew started the job. Other odd things happened: he left a lot of wood on my lawn and I wondered why these supplies were ordered, and not used on my roof. He finally took the wood away and I never received an explanation, which makes me wonder whether the work was actually done as promised or up to code, and whether my supplies were used on someone else's roof. You'd think that a professional roofer with decades of experience would know how much wood he needed to do the job. He also wanted me to pay separate checks to dumpster guy and supplier. He reneged on the separate check to the supplier. Overall, a very uncomfortable experience. He was belligerent when I did not want to give him the final check before the work was done or inspected. I told him, this is what the contract you wrote says. The whole experience was weird and unpleasant, and I would not recommend him to anyone, I can't understand why people recommended him to me. Maybe I was treated differently from his other customers, but I don't find him trustworthy and I'm hiring another roofer to repair the damage his crew did to my roof. Now I have lost over $10,000 on a roof that may not be up to code and thanks to extra repair costs. I wish I had hired someone else to do this job. Low price too good to be true - better to pay more, and get good work from a more trustworthy contractor. Unfortunately my income after taxes is only $31,000.

Definitely recommended. Quality work at a great price. The crew was polite, punctual and diligent. When I told the foreman that we were concerned about the plants around the house and he said, "We've got to respect that", I knew we were with the right people. They did -- and the roof looks great, too!

Fantastic! The work was completed in a timely manner, reasonably priced (much cheaper than other quotes) and the work performed was well worth the cost.

Great group to work with! Other companies tried to give lower quotes but then would said, "If you need plywood replaced they would charge $3.00 per square foot." Living Water would beat any quote and they did! Great company and work professionals! Hire them! They gave me a great price to put a roof on my cedar shed! Bravo! They bring honor to the profession.

Eddy from Living Water roofing was the best He came over my home in Carlstadt and evaluated my roof which had shingle damage from hurricane Sandy late 2012. He evaluated my roof which is about 20 years old and said it was in good condition and he would see if patching it would work. He replaced missing shingles, sealed the chimney and made a second visit to further make another correction. Roof has not leaked since he did the work in April 2013. It is now June 2015. Great job Eddy.

They did a very clean and efficient job. They were done in one day, and had all the debris in a dumpster that was collected the next day. They left no mess behind, and the job was neat, and well done.

Eddie's crew was punctual, responsive and polite and cleaned up at the end of every day.

He arrived when scheduled, did the inspection and gave estimate and did the repair in one visit. There has not been a problem with his work.

This work was both evaluated and completed over the Christmas holidays--not an easy time for repair service! Eddie came to evaluate the roof, gave a written cost evaluation and arrived two days later to do the repair. He was honest about the repair issues and possible outcomes. Today was the first hard rain we've had since the work was done, and I am happy to say that the roof is not leaking in either of the two repaired places. I am quite pleased with this work and will have no problem going to Living Water for future work.

Provider was on time and very responsive to my phone calls. The roofing crew was prompt, efficient and friendly. The job restored the roof to an excellent outward appearance and repaired the leaks in the roof. I will use Living Water again.

I contacted the provider thru Angie's List and got a quick response. We set up an appointment for the following week. He never showed up and never called. I contacted him again to set up another appointment thinking it was probably an oversight- same thing. He made an appointment and then never showed up and never called. That was two days pay wasted. Two chances is enough for me. Too bad because i picked him based on his great reviews.

Living water repaired cracks in my roof and parapet wall that were the sources of ongoing leaks on my 2nd floor. Ed arrived at the consultation promptly. My mason and I had discovered the cracks previously, but Ed inspected both the interior and the roof to confirm that was in fact the source of the leak. His pricing was great (half of what another contractor quoted). He was very friendly and personable. The consultation took place on a Saturday. He scheduled the repair for the following Wednesday. When I called on Wednesday morning to confirm the appointment, he stated that he made the repair on Tuesday because he saw that we were expecting heavy rain in our area on Wednesday afternoon. Low and behold, we had a heavy thunderstorm that Wednesday and no leak!!!! I am sure I need to give it more time to make sure that the repair holds, but I am happy to have this issue resolved as it was a source of anxiety for me for the last few months. It is refreshing to deal with a contractor who shows up early and does what he is supposed to do.

He was supposed to do the back as well for the price but begged off because it was too icy. He showed up alone. I probably won't use him as he is a bit expensive.

They were among the most reasonable vendors I interviewed, but they also seemed to be the most thorough and professional, with the most clear and direct estimate. They turned out to be the right choice. They did a beautiful job, and they were a pleasure to deal with.

I called at 7:00 in the morning after my ceeling leaked all night long while it rained. I was frantic and worried that I would need a new roof. Eddie answered the phone and assure that he would be out later that morning to help me out. He ended up running late and called to let me know. When he got there he took a look at the ceeling and then went out side to see the roof. He knew immediately what the problem was. A few shingles had blown off and needed replacing. The job took less than an hour and the price was very reasonable. I was very happy with the service.

Water was coming into my second floor from the gutter. Someone else came in and told me that I needed a new roof, that there was not way of fixing the leak without replacing the whole thing. Living Water came in and stopped the water from coming in and installed a new gutter and there was not need to replace the whole roof. Also replaced some shingles and siding that were blown away. They were fast and clean. I am very happy with them. They did a great job.

Everything went very well. Eddie and his foreman and his workers were very punctual, professional and pleasant. They did an excellent job, expecially with the clean-up. Our property was immaculate when they finished. The price quoted was excellent.

Prompt response. There was an Angie's list discount on his website he seemed to have no knowledge of but said he would honor it. Gave a discount if he got cash.

Terrible. He was rude and I am disgusted.
