Erik Chase is a professional..He did the estimate and gave us an estimate which included the electrician.that was a fair price in a timely manner..Erik communicates well returning texts ,phone calls or emails and even worked around a problem we were having with another contractor...He was punctual and didn't leave the job site until his portion of the project was complete. He arranged a convienent time for the electrician to come complete the job and maintained communicate to come back and start up and test the units the same day..He and his crew were courteous,considerate and left no mess during or after all the work was done.. I would highly recommend Erik and his crew !

I called on Memorial Day weekend. Jay called me back with in a half hour. He was very polite to speak with. He scheduled my appointment with in a few days. Jays customer service was outstanding, and will be calling them back when needed in the future 😊

The existing furnace was 19 years old and just stopped working on one of the coldest nights this year. I called Erik after receiving a recommendation from a friend who had similar work done previously. I received a call back within minutes of leaving a message. After explaining the situation, Erik arranged to come check it out that day and even offered to supply portable heaters to make the house bearable until the issue could be resolved. Eric recommended replacing the furnace but went through the other options, answering all of my many questions and then ultimately left the decision up to me without any pressure. We agreed to proceed as he originally suggested. Removing the old furnace turned out to be more of a challenge than expected due to the placement of the deck in relation to the bulkhead as well as snow on the ground but Erik worked all day staying until 8:30 PM to make sure we didn't have to suffer through another night without heat. He was back the next morning at exactly the promised time. He completed all the finish work, cleaned up the space better than before he started and even fixed the cellar door that wasn't closing right....not related to the furnace install! Before leaving he made sure that I could change the filter and program the new thermostat. I was very impressed with not only the professional job but all the extra effort that went into the furnace replacement! I am happy with my decision and would definitely recommend Chase Heating & Cooling.

Erik was the first quote I received. When I called on Wednesday he squeezed me in after a job to come give me a bid. I told him I was looking to do this as soon as possible. Quoted on Wednesday and he fit me in on Saturday. Two great guys very nice and professional. It was a smooth and easy transaction. They will be back to change my water heater soon.

I can’t say enough good things about Eric Chase and his team. I had my old oil burning furnace combo A/C unit replaced with a newer high efficiency gas furnace and new A/C coil and condenser. Eric was prompt when returning my initial call and was able to meet me at my home that same evening to size up the project. Eric knew his stuff and was able to show me plenty of pictures of his past work. He definitely takes pride in his work. He provided a quote within a few days for the system he recommended and included all the different options I had asked about (whole house humidifier, high efficiency air filter, UV light for A/C coil, etc.). He was not pushy, did not try to up sell to the most expensive units and took the time to answer all my questions. Eric was upfront with all the costs, his prices were competitive based on the other quotes I received. He had a guy lined up to remove the old oil tank which was included in the costs. Eric was able to squeeze me into the schedule two weeks early due another customers delayed install. He and his team were able to remove the old unit and old oil tank and install the new unit so that I had heat the very same day, finishing the details and outside A/C condenser the next day. Eric set up the appointment with the inspector and handled all the permitting. No rework required. The inspector was actually training a new guy and used Eric’s work to highlight good quality work. These guys are hard workers and provide quality worksmanship. Eric’s crew was friendly, efficient and clean. This is a big purchase and the whole way I felt very comfortable. At the end of the day, I have a quality product that was installed right and it should last. I would definitely recommend Eric Chase and I plan to use Eric for regular furnace and A/C tune-ups.

Being so close to Thanksgiving, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find someone to service the unit until after the holiday. I called Erik first thing in the morning and left him a voicemail describing the issue. Erik returned my call within 5 minutes, and fortunately had time to come out to the building within a couple hours. Using a methodical process of elimination, Erik was able to quickly diagnose the problem - a faulty gas valve. Within a few hours, Erik was able to replace the valve and fix the unit. All in all, it took Erik about 4 hours to complete the repair (he had to leave for a couple hours to find a supply shop that carried the available part). I commend Erik for his promptness, professionalism and thoroughness throughout the process. In addition, I found his pricing to be very competitive and fair. I would highly recommend Erik for anyone in the Merrimack Valley area that needs HVAC servicing.

I had received quotes from 5-6 highly rated companies for a Ducted or Ductless AC and Heat to be installed at my 1970 house. All of them gave me a quote for ductless AC and I contacted Eric Chase of Chase Heating and Cooling for a quote. He came in on a Saturday and spent close to 45 mins examining a few things in the basement and discovered there were actually vents that went to the second floor rooms. H even went out of his way to make sure the vents went ALL the way to second floor rooms and after a couple of days provided me a quote. I was very impressed at the professionalism and his eagerness to look into every tiny minute details right from the get go. His quote beat rest of the quotes by a few thousands. I signed the contract the next day. We set a date to get the work started. He and his team (Chris and Jay) were very professional, cleaned up after the days work and always eager to explain and answer any questions during the whole process. I have had work done on my house by different companies and I must say this has been among the top 1 % of pleasant experiences. I wholeheartedly recommend Eric and his company. Erik of Chase Heating and Cooling was professional, prompt, and quoted a price that was the final price. He managed the permits with my hometown inspectors. He and his crew removed the old forced hot air oil furnace and oil tank (with oil still in the tank) and supply lines. They installed the new gas furnace, gas supply piping, electrical work and thermostat wiring. The air duct connections to existing duct work were very neat. The work area was left clean. He removed the standard thermostat they had installed and installed an advanced one that I had purchased with no additional charge. The total cost was fair and competitive. I gave the company door lock codes to enter my house when nobody was home, and there was no issues whatsoever. It was helpful to me to have this trust, since I could not always take time away from work to be there during this rather large job. Erik is a very nice person, and I am sure that you will be pleased that you trusted him with your HVAC needs. I am a very satisfied customer, and highly recommend Chase Heating and Cooling.

I called to determine price and what was included in the maintenance service call. The owner provided a detailed explanation of the services that would be included for the multiple furnaces that were to be serviced. The technician arrived at the appointed time. He was courteous and professional. He preformed all of the services as described.

I called and spoke to Erik on Wednesday evening when I discovered that my AC unit was not working. I set up an appointment for Friday morning because Thursday I was taking a day trip to Maine and I did not want to cancel and disappoint the kids. He said if he had a chance he would drop by on Thursday to check the AC unit outside. Well I arrived home Thursday evening to an air conditioned house! He replaced the capacitor in my AC unit as he had one in his truck. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the area.

I had called Chase Heating & Cooling 2 weeks earlier to tune up my A/C, but all tested well at the time. Now the unit wasn't cooling at all. Erik came out with Jay the same day and worked diligently to find out what the problem was. Turns out my unit was bad and needed to be replaced. It was a very unusual manufacturing problem which didn't present itself in the previous tests. All this happened during the worst days of the heat wave we had this summer (of course), so I really appreciated their quick response. The very next day, I had my new unit up and running...and the luxury of a cool house! Erik and his staff are extremely kind, dependable, and caring of their customers. They are professional, experienced, and do quality work. It's a breath of fresh air to find someone who puts customers first. I will ALWAYS call this company for my A/C and heating needs.

This was the first time I ever called Chase Heating & Cooling. My A/C didn't seem to be cooling too well last year, so wanted to have it tuned up. Very quick response to my call. My A/C unit was tested and everything appeared to be working well at the time.

I'm very pleased with the results. Even though it was 6pm, Eric and Chris were determined to get the A/C up and running before they left. They were professional and skilled as they had to be creative to put everything back in better shape than it was,, I will be calling them again to do all of my preventive oil and A/C maintenance.

It went great! I called Chase on Monday afternoon and they were here first thing Tuesday morning. They were prompt, efficient, kind and extremely knowledgeable. They described what they were looking for and how they were going to fix the problem throughout the process so my husband and I could understand what was happening. We are extremely happy with the work and will definitely refer them to our friends and family. It is another example of why you should trust a small independent contractor rather than big companies. I could not have been happier with the work done by Eric from Chase Heating and Cooling. I highly recommend them for HVAC work. I called several HVAC companies and none answered. I then called Chase Heating & Cooling at 4:30pm in the afternoon and Eric the owner answered. He listened as I explained the problem, asked questions, and then told me that he was finishing up a job, but would try to make it over to my house tonight. If he could not make it over tonight then he would call me back and tell me when he could come the next day. I went home after work and he showed up at around 6pm and immediately went to work. He diagnosed the problem which was caused by a loose wire to the compressor. He reattached the wire tested the unit to make sure it was working and then only charged me a nominal amount for a service call. I highly recommend Chase as they responded immediately, explained the work they were doing, and charged a very reasonable fee. I will be calling them for all of my HVAC needs going forward.

Erik called back right away and sent Jay within 20 minutes of my call. I was impressed with their responsiveness especially because I was a new customer.

I can't say enough about how pleased I am with Chase. Despite this being their busy season they were at my home within hours of my call. Jay quickly diagnosed the issue. He did not have the necessary part in his truck but assured me someone would be by soon to replace the malfunctioning part. Sure enough Erik (the owner) showed up quickly, replaced the bad part and had my AC up and running in no time. The price was very fair. Chase was extremely prompt and very professional. Both Jay and Erik were pleasant and really knew their stuff. Recommended without hesitation.

We had a lot going on when he arrived (floor installation, electrical, etc. ) but he came in and went right down to find the problem. He had great communication so it was easy for me to understand the problem at hand. We will be contacting him for all future HVAC needs!

Erik got back after two days and apologized for the delay that somehow the messaging through Angie's list didn't get to him earlier. I had purchased the diagnostic package for $85 and he did just that and quite efficiently. Diagnosed the problem fairly quickly and replaced the transformer that was malfunctioning. It took a brief 15 mins or so for the whole thing and I paid an additional $75 for the parts. I was under the impression that pre-paid amount is for diagnosis with some associated length of minimum work-time. Given how quickly he got the job done, I just wished he had checked few other things that were obvious with the units but of course that was not discussed earlier. The unit is running again and will know how well it's running, when we have a bunch of guests at home on a hot day.

Everything went great. They were prompt and very professional. Erik was very detailed in his explanations of everything that he did as well as explaining things to me about better maintaining my system. I will definitely be calling Chase Heating and Cooling again for our next house.

Erik did a great job overall. My furnace is a finicky two-stage model that required a special motor. Unfortunately the local supplier did not have the part. Erik both diagnosed the problem, worked with the supplier (who lost the first order) to get the part and installed it. Note that the price of 2-stage motors are NOT cheap, but even so, what I ended up paying Chase HVAC was about HALF of what I was quoted by some other guys who weren't even HVAC specialists, and who hadn't even properly grounded my furnace during their initial install. Hopefully, I won't have any problems where I'll need him, but if I do, I'll definitely use Chase again.

Our AC wasn't blowing cold, so I called Chase to take a look at it. Erik was able to come within a day, and was able to find the main problem quickly. He also found some other issues, one of which he could fix on the spot, and the other which will eventually need attention. He answered all my questions and explained everything thoroughly. He was courteous throughout, and his price was reasonable. Will definitely be using him again.
