The job was supposed to take two days; it ended up taking a week and a half. I wouldn't have minded the extended time if they had communicated with us. Instead, they disappeared with no word as to when they'd return to finish the job. We'd wait all day, finally call, they'd commit to the next day, and then we'd repeat this process the next day. At least they didn't increase the cost from the bid to the bill because of the extra time. While working, however, I found cigarette butts thrown in my backyard, and when they were finished, I had to haul two loads of trash out that they had left. The real kicker, was that they dropped half a dozen screws and debris down the utility room pipe while working, causing the pipe to clog and back up. We had to hire a plumber to come in and fish it all out. Even though they knew that the pipe was draining, they still connected pipe from the unit to the drain to drain out the condensed water. We discovered it, but only after a minor flood to the utility room. We fixed the piping to drain into a bucket until the plumber could come.
