I would have liked to hear about more alternative treatments, as opposed
to more pills/medicines. The tech did an awful job with the orthotics
he made for my shoes. Told the doctor at a following appointment but
have not been back to address any further. Foot has made some progress on its own. Not having pain or taking any meds.

While the treatment was successful, had I received a bill after the first visit I would not have gone back. In order to locate where the cortisone shot should go, they wheeled in a machine to help with the location. I didn't realize that 5 minutes with that machine was costing me over $300. Then another $200 to get the shot. Plus $180 for the office visit itself.
The $300 for five minutes is very frustrating. As a healthcare provider myself, I understand the need and right to make money. But in other practices I've had doctors explain how much something was going to cost beforehand if the treatment is going to be expensive.

Dr Robb Mothershed was helpful with my toe and feet problems, prescribing new shoes and providing an insert for the shoes.
I believe this will eventually be helpful however, I have a swollen knee from a knee replacement surgery in Dec 2012. The new shoes/inserts cause more pain for my knee.

Dr. James Mothershed is absolutely the kindest doctor that I have ever seen. He treated my ingrown toe nail / injured toe by removing the ingrown part of the nail. I was so scared but he was so kind and re-assuring. The procedure was simple and gave me so much relief. I followed his post procedure instructions and my follow up was excellent and healing time was quick. The pain from the ingrown nail and injury was relieved very quickly. I will continue to use Dr. James Mothershed for any foot / ankle related issues. He is excellent! A++

I had a number of issues I was concerned about related to my feet...corns & bunions, possible toenail fungus, hammertoes, periodic sharp pain/popping in my instep. I decided it was time to consult a podiatrist. I based my selectino solely off of Angie's List reviews. The appointment was set up for just 1 business day after I called their office. The new patient paperwork I completed was quite lengthy and I believe could be streamlined some (as is typical in most Dr's offices - they have you write down a lot and then they ask you the same questions anyway when they come into the exam room...first the nurse, then the Dr.)
The waiting room was very crowded when I arrived. But they handled the volume of patients expeditiously and my wait time was not very long.
The buildling the practice is in is very plain jane. But if that keeps costs down, as long as it is clean, which it was, I'm okay with that.

It was a smooth appt. My foot had healed well and Dr. Mothershed confirmed that I could start putting weight on my foot during exercise once again. I was in and out of his office quickly. Following the appt all has continued to be well.

Checkin with the receptionist was fast and I only waited about 20 minutes to see Dr. Cane. The medical assistant was nice and helped with setting up for the MD. Dr. Cane did a thorough exam and did the procedure to take care of me in the office there and I was in and out in about an hour. My follow up was much shorter and he was just as pleasant once again. I would highly recommend Dr. Cane.

Dr. Robb first taped the toes and added a support on the bottom of shoe which lessened the pain while I was waiting for surgery. I have a latex sensitivity and had to wait for appointment at hospital rather than surgical center. Surgery and recovery went well. I was in a surgical boot right away, bed rest for several days then limited activity. After 2 weeks, resumed driving and most normal activities, like shopping, etc., in surgical boot. After another month, I was back in athletic shoes and gradually built up time walking. I did have to have pins removed about 3 months later, done in office, but that healed in 2 - 3 weeks, and I'm now pain free. Very good follow up.
