Ledbetter Heating & A/C Inc

We thought we were having a problem with it and they fixed what was wrong with it.

In November 2010, our Goodman gas furnace began to malfunction. We called Ledbetter's upon a referral from our plumber. They sent out a technician, Brian, who told us that we needed to change our burner ribbons (manifold) and a plastic cover. He came back and did the work, but exhibited a strange, negative attitude. After the work was done, the unit continued to malfunction, and we called them to come back. They did, but again didn't fix the unit. We were getting ready to leave for the winter, and called them to come one more time. They said they would come before we left, but never showed up.

In June of 2011, they sent Steve to diagnose a problem with our air conditioner, which he did correctly and replaced a capacitor. We asked him about the furnace, and he said he had no expertise with heating systems, and to call back when the weather cooled off again.

We called again and they again sent Brian out, who gruffly announced that the gas to the unit had been turned off, and left. The unit continued to malfunction, so we called again. This time, we asked for another tech, and they sent Steve. Steve said he couldn't get the unit to work, and told us he would go back to the office to discuss our case and they would get back to us. They never did.

We just returned from being out of town and were met with a bill for $85.00 for "SUBSEQUENT LABOR", with no date, just stating "Brian then Steve". The invoice contains an anti-customer narrative as if they're testifying in court, stating at the end "Steve...found...nothing wrong with the systems operation (sic). Steve stated that the unit is old and needs to be replaced...". This, after telling us they could fix it and charging us for same.
