Gonzalez Tree Care

WE HAD TO MAKE MULTIPLE CALLS TO GET THE SERVICE SCHEDULED. AT LEAST TWICE, THE PERSON WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE HAD NO IDEA THAT WE HAD CALLED PREVIOUSLY. THAT WAS VERY FRUSTRATING SINCE WE KNEW THAT ONE TREE WOULD FALL ON THE HOUSE IF WE HAD HEAVY WINDS OR A BAD STORM.THERE SEEMED TO BE TOTAL CONFUSION ABOUT WHAT WE NEEDED DONE AND WHEN THEY COULD PROVIDE SERVICE. ONCE THE JOB HAD BEEN SCHEDULED, THERE WAS ANOTHER DELAY SINCE THEY HAD TO RE-SCHEDULE THE DATE OF SERVICE. THEY DID ARRIVE ON THE 2ND-CHOSEN DATE AND TOOK THE TREES DOWN QUICKLY WITH NO PROBLEMS, BUT THE GUYS ASKED US AGAIN TO POINT OUT WHICH TREES WE WANTED REMOVED.IT WAS AS IF THERE HAD BEEN NO ORIGINAL VISIT FOR THE INSPECTION / ESTIMATE, WHICH IS DOWNRIGHT SCARY. THE CREW SPOKE ALMOST NO ENGLISH. IT IS LUCKY THAT I SPEAK SOME SPANISH OR SEVERAL QUESTIONS OF OURS WOULD HAVE GONE UNANSWERED. I BELEIVE JOSE IS THE OWNER; HE SEEMS TO BE GOOD AT HIS JOB , BUT IT WAS TOUGH GOING AT TIMES DUE TO CONFUSION AND LANGUAGE BARRIERS. THE CREW SEEMED TO BE IN A HUGE HURRY TO GET TO THE NEXT JOB, WHICH WAS WORRISOME TO US, SINCE THIS JOB OF OURS WAS SO DANGEROUS. I THINK IT WAS JOSE WHO TOOK DOWN THE LARGER TREE, BUT THERE WAS NO TIME FOR ME TO FIND OUT AS THEY WERE WORKING AT TOP SPEED. ALL DEBRIS/WOOD WAS HAULED AWAY NEATLY.

The work was good and the price was fine. However, the communication was terrible and I had no idea when he was coming. It took about a week to hear back from the owner when I accepted the estimate. He said he would get back to me within a week to schedule an appointment. I came home one day and was totally surprised when I saw that the tree was gone. Based on this, I would not hire them again.

We had a small window time to get an estimate. Mr. Gonzalez was able to come out within a couple days notice. Price seemed fair with what I had seen on Angie's. Mr. Gonzalez contacted us the next morning to say they were in the area if we wanted his crew go ahead and do the job. We didn't have any checks with us (we do everything online), but Mr. Gonzalez said that was fine and they would go ahead and I could get the check from the bank later. We were happy that it could be done so quickly. His crew came and did a very efficient and professional job. Mr. Gonzalez was very courteous. My husband was extremely happy with the results - you can't even tell the removed trees were even there. They probably left the yard cleaner than how they found it. Do remember to use your Angie's 10% coupon. We printed it out and then forgot to use it. But the job was so well done that we're not stressing over the difference. With the coupon though, the price would have been excellent. We would definitely recommend Gonzalez to anyone wanting tree service and will surely use them again in the future.

Bryan came out promptly to give me an estimate of the work I wanted done. Said they had a lot of calls from the same storm that damaged my tree and that it might take them as long as 2-3 weeks to get around to my job. I expressed concern that we might be on vacation by them. So Bryan marked the trees with different colored ribbon ties in case they came to do the work when we weren't here. However, they came sooner than expected and completed the work very quickly & efficiently. Bryan had originally planned to grind the limbs onsite, but was concerned that with recent rains the equipment might damage my yard. So his men dragged all the limbs to their truck and hauled them away. They cleaned up the debris and left my yard in good condition. Bryan gave me an Angie's List discount.

Everything went wonderful from a quick on site quote to showing up on time to complete the work. Tree was taken down quickly and never once came near the house or my neighbors. Cleaned up after themselves including the sawdust in the parking lot and my patio. Even managed to avoid damaging my neighbors newly laid sod!! Highly recommend, would definitely use again. Pricing was competitive as well for the work that needed to be done.

Well, the actual service was awesome. Well-oiled machine and perfect. My reason for "B" instead of "A" was consultation/estimate. Consultant was a bit patronizing & a tad rude about other estimates I rec'd. "I hate it when people bring that up.." A bit of a hard sell. Was a bit less so with my husband.

I picked him because I liked what people had to say about him. I had no trouble getting in touch with him and he followed up well. His workers did a great job and showed up exactly on time. I was pleased with everything.

My wife emailed Gonzalez Tree Care and I followed up with a phone call voicemail as well to ask for an estimate. No one has responded and reached back out to us. Should someone reach out to us and provide good, cost-effective service, I'll consider changing this rating/review.

It went fine, but I was nervous at first because the crew that came seemed to have little to go on except the ties around the trees. I had the initial conversation and discussion of what should be done with an estimator, but that person was not among those who showed up for the work. The crew was Hispanic and we had some difficulty understanding one another. But in the end, they did what needed to be done and cleaned up nicely afterward. So I am very satisfied. As a general rule, I prefer that the person I contract with is also on site when the work is being done, or at least initially checks in. But I had asked in advance and knew that would not be the case, so I can't complain about that. There was some delay because the climber had injured himself, but that was understandable, and I did not see that as a problem.

Brian came on time to give a estimation of the work with reasonable price. Then he followed up the visit to arrange the work. He has experience of the weed tree I am dealing with.

They were punctual and professional. the deal was $125 for 4 man-hours. Instead they sent over 4 men and said they would be there for one full hour, supposedly the equivalent of 4 man-hours. They sent 4 guys over and were there for 45 minutes, so I do not feel like I received the full extent of the deal.

.The only problem we had with Gonzalez Tree Care was the fact that it was our understanding that they would be at our house at 1:30. They did not show up until 5:30, with which we had no problem, but they did not contact us saying they would be late. We thought they might not be coming, but they showed up at 5:30. They went right to work and did a great job. They were very efficient and workmanlike and within 35 minutes both trees had been hauled away. Both my husband and I were very impressed how they went about their business. We felt that we got good value for our money. We would gladly use them again and recommend them to our neighbors.

They were good and did a good job. I will use them again in the future.

Great job and I'd definitely recommend -- and will hire again. Gonzales Tree Care did a huge job in my neighborhood and I'm glad I used them also. Very prompt to return my call and come out with an estimate. Returned with crew the very next day at the exact time promised. Large crew with all the right equipment. FAST, but very careful and cleanaed up the debris. I can't believe how fast it was to have these trees removed....sure helps to have all the right equipment, a big crew. Friendly service and so glad they did not leave me with a huge mess. I've had horrible tree experiences in the past, so it is my pleasure to write this review and recommend Gonzalez Tree Care.

The price was high; they were trying to get more business The workers are good workers.

They did a very good job. They were quick and cleaned up after themselves. The entire crew was very professional.

Jose was very responsive for the initial quote and came out about 3 hrs. after I called him. The work was completed about 3 days after the estimate. They hauled off everything and clean-up was great. They even cut down and removed a smaller, dead oak that I didn't mention at the time of the original quote at no extra charge. I was very impressed with Jose's work and highly recommend his tree service.

Gonzalez Tree Care was excellent and had the best price of all companies we looked at. This was a very big job: more than 30 trees, all of them very large (a mix of pines and hardwoods), and all close to our house and other structures. The team laid each tree down perfectly and even were able to avoid our swing set and other smaller structures. They cleaned up as they went and left the street and yard spotless. A number of neighbors told us how pleased they were with the job they did and will use them in the future. I highly recommend Gonzalez.

They where on time and removed the tree without damage to surrounding plants and buildings. Workers stacked all the firewood and cleaned up the mess behind them.

Work was done as scheduled with cost as estimated, No damage to property. Wood chips remained on property at my request.

Jose was great from the start. He listened to what I wanted, advised me how best to approach the project, gave me an estimate & schedule. The crew came out on time & got right to work. They were very skilled and hard working, and very careful. A neighbor was so impressed with their work that he hired them too!

They came out talked about what I wanted. They did the work when I was not here, cut down two limbs,which I didn'twant cut down, which may have been a mis-communication.

We worked with Brian to get a quote for the work we needed done. They provided a quote and scheduled our work within a week. Jose Gonzalez and his crew of 8 guys showed up exactly at 9am. They had about 4 large trucks and all kinds of tools and a tree stump shredder and bobcat. They cut a lot of the trees using chain saws and ground up the smaller trees using a big shredder built into their truck. They hauled away the big trees into one of their big trucks. They were very quick, neat and efficient. They cleared so many trees in one day and didn't leave any mess behind. I thought they were very reasonable for the work they did. They were done by 4pm. I would recommend them to anyone.
