Description of Work: My wife and I are renovating a ~30 year old home that still had the original HVAC system which is the whole reason we signed up for Angie's List. I found Comfort First via the Heat Pump package special and couldn't be more pleased. One of their guarantees is that the quoted price is the price you pay, and with my install there turned out to be some unforeseen issues. The install crew explained in detail and confirmed that I would not be charged for the extra work. It even required extra folks to come out same-day to get the job done. I would highly recommend Comfort First!

Description of Work: HVAC winter inspection and cleaning.

Description of Work: I ordered the A/C unit tune-up "Big Deal" because my A/C unit wasn't cooling very well; however, after ordering the deal, my A/C unit died completely. I ended up calling Comfort First on the morning of the 2nd for an emergency maintenance service to get the A/C unit up and running. A technician came out and repaired the unit as a full service call ($189), which made the tune-up deal no longer necessary.

Description of Work: They installed a heating and air conditioning system in an apartment I am constructing above my garage. From beginning to end they were very professional and performed the work in a timely manner even though I am sure it was one of their busiest seasons.

Description of Work: It was a special, a furnace tune-up. Everything went fine. Don't remember the price.

Description of Work: Had the furnace stop in the dead of winter and had bought a Voucher for a 100 service inspection for 50. Had them apply the voucher to come and look at the problem with the furnace. Within 15 minutes they had found that a fan blade had broken and plugged up the ignition switch, not allowing the furnace to fire on. They removed the plastic fan blade and have not had a problem since and all it cost was the price of the voucher. Excellent service and professionalism.

Description of Work: I asked for an estimate, which they gave. But they were very high, because they proposes a 4 ton unit which none of the other providers thought was necessary. So to make a proper comparison, I asked this company for a bid on different units - and I never heard from them again! So of course they don't get my business.

Description of Work: Tow service men arrived on time, troubleshot and repaired my A/C system by finding and replacing a defective start capacitor on my compressor.

Description of Work: My appointment was made 1 week in advance and was scheduled for between 1 and 4. I tried to call at 4:15 (knowing the phones were shut off at 4:30) and my call was never picked up. The rep came at 7:30 that evening and then proceeded to tell me it was considered a service call instead of the maintenance call I had requested. I asked him to cancel this appointment. I was never given an option to reschedule this appointment when the service tech was overwhelmed with calls which they should have realized earlier in the day. I had no problem with him but they clearly need retraining in their front office.

Description of Work: They arrived on schedule and serviced the downstairs AC unit. They replaced something ?? and did not charge extra since the initial $ had already been covered. I plan to use them again for my heating unit. So far so good.
