This is the worse experience I had in my nine month restoration project. First the salesman "misrepresented" (lied) about what was actually ordered so when installation was to occur only the set of raw stair were installed, without the treads on top. They they tried to charge me again for the treads. I found the original receipt which indicated the treads were included in the original order but he did not include the top tread and some of the returns in the original estimate so I was charged a third again as much for the order in addition to what I thought was an already expensive estimate. In addition the installation of the flooring had to be postponed because the flooring needed to be laid after the stairs were laid. Two weeks later they they arrived with the "finished" treads which were a complete mess. They were a high gloss finish while the floor was a matt finish. Another two week delay... They they arrived with treads but the returns were stained "pea green." The installer was so embarrassed he didn't even show me the parts. Another 10 day delay. Then he arrived with the parts which he began to install and realized the middle tread of a six foot tread was finished on the wrong side. They they tried to find local craftsmen who could complete the project however the stairs were stained a color which was significantly different than the floor. Finally after a delay of two months (and living without flooring in my home) they installed the three treads which didn't actually match each other. Two of the treads were stained in the shop while the tread on the bottom could not be removed so the craftsmen tried to change the color after it had been installed and varnished. I complained but was told that was the best they could do. By that time, I was so worn down that I accepted the project so I could call the flooring folks so they could get my floor installed and I could resume the rest of my renovation. Since then the stairs have held up terribly. I am a single women who doesn't wear shoes in my home, however the curved stairs have "scuff" marks where the finish has been removed around the edges. I would never ever consider using this company again for any product or service.
Description of Work: Company built and finished a set of curved stairs that needed to be custom in order to match the engineered handscraped wood flooring. There were three six foot curved stairs leading down to a sunken living room.
