When the owner, Will, bid the job, he projected that he would be able to do the work by November 15. The job was completed three weeks ahead of schedule. His bid was also about half of one of his well regarded competitors. Will also provided alternative bids, that showed pricing for pruning of the maples that were removed as well as removal of only some of the cypress. The trees that were removed were diseased. The pruning and removal took three days of continuous effort. In addition to the tree work, Will paid significant attention to the ancillary details: fence removal and replacement, mailbox removal and replacement, and so on. Will also advised us on pruning for our other trees, and offered to come back if we find that the stumps had not been ground adequately. We appreciate Will's flexibility and attention to detail and are very pleased with the quality of the work. We will eagerly call Raleigh Tree Service again when we need more tree work done.

Will and one of his employees did an excellent job of removing 10 large Leyland Cypress, one holly tree, and ground all stumps in a very timely and efficient manner. They made sure everything was cleaned up and I was satisfied with the work before leaving. I was flexible in my schedule for the removal so I let Will choose the date that worked best for him. This may not work for every customer, but I was happy to be worked into his schedule because of the superior job this company does each time I use them. I would highly recommend this company to you.

When I contacted them and asked about getting an estimate for some tree pruning, they said they were busy but would try to work me in. A couple later they contacted me and asked whether they could come by to see what needed to be done the next day; I agreed. The representative came by on time, took notes as I described what I needed done, and left, promising to send me an estimate and documentation of insurance and related matters. I indicated that I needed the work done soon, and he said they could work it in within the time frame. A couple days later, I made two attempts to contact by phone, only one successful, and in that one they verified my contact data. I had not heard from them since (no estimate, no paperwork, no indication they would not be able to perform the service), until weeks later (well outside the original timeframe). Even then, the contact had nothing to do with the originally planned service. I have already had another company provide the service. At the first three contacts (to schedule the estimate, when he came out to evaluate the job, and later to confirm my contact data and see why they had not sent me the finished estimate), I told them specifically that I did not want to be added to marketing lists, and the person to whom I spoke confirmed that I would not be. However, the most recent contact from them was utterly unrelated to the original job -- it was a marketing email (HTML-only at that -- no text content, even unsubscribe or other contact information). Despite telling them I did not wish to receive marketing, in particular electronic marketing, they handed my contact data over to a third party to harass me on their behalf and at least at part on my expense. Not only did they not have the decency to tell me they could not work me in after all (would have only required a simple phone call or an email letting me know they could not do the job), but they also added my to yet another spamming company's lists after my specific and direct requests not to do so, and their indication that they would not put me on any marketing lists.

Excellent work. Straightforward explanation of what service Will was willing to do. Perfect job of removing trees , some of which were 40 - 50 feet tall and touching my house. I bid this out to several of the local tree services, he was not the low bid and he was not the high bid. But I don't think the job could have been performed in a more complete, professional way. When they were done taking the trees out, they spent considerable time cleaning all of the leaves, pine needled and twigs/wood out of the surrounding area... much of what they cleaned up was not generated by them. Not the cheapest bid I got. But I am thrilled with the excellent work. -Brent Smith

The provider was prompt, professional, and my yard was immaculate when they finished. This was a two day job which involved removing two portions of a fence to reach the outside yard where the trees were located. The provider made sure the fence was put back in place on the first night so the dogs would not wander out of the yard. They did an excellent job with tree removal and chipped all the debris.

Chris was professional, and easy to deal with. He and Frances worked around my schedule as I wanted to be here when the work was done. Chris and his crew were efficient and cleaned up everything when they left. The work looks great. I would use them again, and probably will next year to have some other work done.

The team was efficient and thorough. I had 5 trees removed along with stump grinding and I will be using Raleigh Tree Service to remove my remaining cypress in the fall. Excellent work!

It went very well. The guys were very professional. They worked very well as a team and did not stop the entire time they were here. They removed the 80-100 year old tree that was in a very tight space with no issues. They left the yard with no trace of the work they did.

Company said they didn't cover Durham anymore, but would call me back to see if they could work me in. Never heard from them again.

They were a bit later in coming than they'd said, but we'd had some dreadful weather that put them behind schedule. They came first thing on the fallback day, they were efficient and fast in setting up, the tree came down in no time, and no damage was done. They ground out the stump so that there is now no trace of the tree. The only negative part of the experience is that I had an Angie's List coupon for $200 off. I have a sense that the quoted price of the work went up because of that, so that their overall earnings were the same, despite the coupon. The reason I say this is that grinding out the stump became an extra cost of $200, once they learned of the coupon. A small thing surely, but a bit off-putting. I think I won't buy such coupons in future, because they also lock you into a specific provider.

He came out, looked at the tree, and said that just to come out with his equipment would cost more than the Deal. He was professional enough and helpful in helping me get a refund. C- in professionalism because even though he was courteous, he couldn’t/wouldn’t do what the Deal entailed.

Will was very professional and honest. It may not have worked out, but I think he has a great company and I would do business with him under different circumstances.

The owner, Will Etheridge, met me at my house, we discussed the scope of work, and he provided me a very fair price. After accepting the price, we scheduled a tentative date, and he later followed up with a confirmed date to start work. The work took about a week due to the complexity of our yard, overhead power lines and large size of the trees. They were very considerate and worked well with our neighbors, and even gave one neighbor a small mountain of wood chip mulch. I have already passed his company name onto friends who need trees removed. I will definitely call him when i need more trees removed.

It went pretty well. They trimmed a few trees for us and removed a dead tree. It looked odd at first when they removed the bottom branches, but it has since filled out nicely. The Deal pricing was very reasonable, and I would use them again for that price.

I even got a compliment from my landscaper who said that they did an excellect job. He wanted to know the name of my tree service so he could recommend them other customers. Came out to my home...said coupon had to be used with other purchases. His quote was much higher than what I wanted to spend. Although did not use them, the gentleman was very professional and knew what he was talking about.

CCF Tree Service is absolutely one of the best companies I have ever had the pleasure of working with. The owner, Christian, from start to finish was punctual, accessible, and most importantly, reliable. His team was the same. Before the job, we had several estimates from other "highly rated" companies in the area. I found none to be as impressive as CCF. Christian's straightforward approach to the estimated work and sincere handshake behind it resonated with us. His price was fair and we were never pressured to make a decision. Once we did finally decide to move forward almost a month later, Christian was there to facilitate and explain the process. We lined up three consecutive days to perform the job at our property that were convenient for us. Christian and his crew arrived promptly the first morning as promised, and worked over the course of nearly three days removing two large oaks (one overhanging power lines), pruning tons of pine and oak branches, and grinding many stumps along the way. His crew was courteous and extremely professional--and fun to watch! They took great care to accomplish the job without damaging anything else around the property, and cleaned up meticulously after each day's work. After the job, Christian returned for a final walk-around to ensure that everything was completed as promised and that we were 100% satisfied. It was truly a pleasure from start to finish to work with CCF Tree Service. I plan on using them in the future for any and all tree removal/pruning needs, and highly, HIGHLY recommend them to anyone considering the same services.

The contractor had to bring in a large crane to get access to the tree. They arrived on time, called before appearing at our door. Will Etheridge kept us informed of his availability all along, since he has been extremely busy and fell behind his schedule due mostly to inclimate weather. He and two other contractors went to work immediately, setting up the crane. When safely positioned, they began the tree removal in a safe, thorough manner. After the tree was removed, they shredded the tree, ground the stump, removed all the remnants of the work, leaving the property in great condition. They completed this work in 4 hours, utilizing comunication head phones and well coordinated processes.

They were great, great communication, and the contract was well written. They went above and beyond. I've had several tree services and they were the best.

RTS told me up front he was several months behind on work, but that was not a problem for me. He did keep me informed and completed work. All good things to say about this company. Except they are high priced. The cost was high even with the "big deal" reducing $200 from the total. At these prices I will look for alternatives next time I need this service.

Excellent work, punctual and professional. The only issue was a 3 month delay between the time work was scheduled and performed because the contractor had so many jobs on his calendar. It was worth the wait to have the job done right.
