Mr. Davis was able to repair the footrest skirts using the armchair covers and other fabric so that we didn't have to totally re-cover the two pieces of furniture. It was an involved upholstery job since he had to take apart most of the footrest upholstery to do the repairs (and replace the skirt linings), so the price was fair. Re. another member who remarked about Mr. Davis' shop being in an alley in a questionable area of Pineville, NC, I want to assure other Angie's List members that they are very safe at his shop. I worked at a nearby school and know that Pineville is a safe community and the town police are ever vigilant and highly visible.

He was a very nice gentleman. He did an excellent job. I would say his location is a little shady; but other than that, everything is fine. It looks like a garage. He gave me the direction to get to the shop. I just needed the clarification; but he is very nice. I can't complaint. He did a great job. He did what I asked him to do. I didn't check around for the price. He was recommended to me by somebody else, who said he has really good price. I didn't have anyone to compare with. I think his prices were fair, which is why my friend had recommended him to me. He quoted me 3-4 weeks, and it was done within that time.

We called Mr. Davis and he said we could bring the cushions to his shop for an estimate. We took the cushions in on a Monday and Mr. Davis showed us a selection of material that he had in stock. We made a selection, he gave us a reasonable price and we left cushions with him. He told us they should be ready the following week. He called and advised they were ready for pick up on Friday of the same week that we brought them in. They turned out perfect and make an old hand me down rocking chair look like it is new.

Mr Davis is as nice as can be and delivered the work when he said he would. He was fairly priced and did a nice job. I would use him again without hesitation. He has limited fabric selection books at his shop but will use fabric you bring him as well. If you are not sure how much fabric you need he will advise upfront or I as I did bring the chairs to him to look at for fabric estimate.

I have had Mr. Davis do upholstery jobs for me for wicker chairs, a love seat and a chaise lounge, throw pillows and stool seats. His workmanship is impressive and his cost is very fair. He completes his work in a surprisingly short period of time. As business people go Mr. Davis is a pleasure to deal with. I decided to contact Mr. Davis based solely on recommendations in Angies List. These "A" ratings were completely accurate. I do not hesitate to recommend Mr. Davis.

Took two cushions in to the store to find out price and length of time for completion. Ed was very pleasant to work with and gave me a very fair quote and said he could have them to me the next day. I was extremely surprised he could get them done so quickly but very happy. Next day Ed called to let me know they were done and I could pick them up anytime. The final price was the same as quote and the cushions looked beautiful.

They sai they don't make slipcovers, but they came highly recommended. Will use them again in the future.

I went by this morning with my sofa cushions to get an estimate and they said they would have it completed by tomorrow. I got a call 4 hours later to let me know that the work was completed. I was so impressed with the quality and responsiveness of the work. I will be referring business to Mr. Davis for sure. I was happy to find this company through your list and it is conveniently located close to my home. Will be bringing more items soon.

I found Mr. Davis on Angie's List although he did a small job for me approx. 15 years ago. I went by his reputation and am extremely pleased! He was so pleasant when I went to his shop, told me I could get my fabric elsewhere and what to look for when selecting it. He also picked up all my items and delivered them one week later for a cost of $15.00 to cover his gas. I found this amazing as most companies would charge a lot more. His work is excellent and I would recommend him to any of my friends and family!

I dealt with them seperately, and they both did a great job. She was absolutely fantatistic. They were very reasonably priced, and did exactly what they said they were going to do. I couldn't be happier with the work.

Went to drop off the chair at Mr. Davis shop on a Saturday morning. He had countless books of fabric we reviewed thru with him. After selecting 2 top choices he told us he would call the supplier on Monday to confirm our first choice. By the following Friday afternoon the chair was ready to pick-up, in our first choice and looked better than the original chair !! We definitely would use his shop again for work, especially when comparing to what LARGE COMPANIES would charge. A pleasure to deal with Mr. Davis.

The experience has been excellent. His daughter works with him and she is very knowledgeable and very helpful. They are very accommodating. My daughter was here from New York and she picked out her materials. He knew she was going back and he jumped his schedule to make sure she could take the cushions back with her.

Took one chair seat to Mr. Davis for an estimate. He told me what needed to be done, what he would charge me for labor per chair, and how much material would be required. He said I could get my material from him or purchase from any other source. We met Mr. Davis at the shop on a Saturday morning to make the material selection. He checked for availability, he ordered it, and I paid him for the material. It took 3 days for material to come in, and as in the initial conversation, he said it would take about a week to finish the job when he got the material. His assistant called me on Friday tell me that he could start on Monday if I could bring the seats by. I took the seats to the shop early Monday morning and I was called about noon on Tuesday telling me that the seats would be ready by 4:00pm. The quality of the work was excellent, and Mr. Davis had done exactly what he had described to me. As an added note, I got a couple of estimates, and one company estimated the amount of material required to be 2 times what Mr Davis had quoted.

Davis upholstery picked the chair up exactly as planned and returned it in less than a week. The work was wonderful and everyone involved was courteous and professional. I am picking out fabric now to have more furniture upholstered by this company.

Fabulous! She gave us a very fair price, because she had to make all new cushions. The finished product was delivered two days early and the furniture looks almost brand new! We will get years more out of it, and as soon as I find fabric I am going to have Pam redo my dining room chairs!

I called Mr. Davis to see if he could upholster one chair. He told me he was about two, two and a half weeks out which was fine. I also had him make five pillows with the additional fabric. Within an hour I had located another chair that I liked so I called and asked if he could also do that one, an ottoman and make five more pillows in the contrasting fabric. He was MORE than accommodating and even finished the job a week earlier than I anticipated.

He is very good. He has good prices. He comes when he says he will.
