OUT ON A LIMB

They give excellent service. They're very talkative about what they doing...they're explaining. They're all very fast and very tall. They cleaned up after themselves very well even the mess they made on the driveway; they would sweep and cleaned after that. They were very low price I find it very reasonable. They're very quick and they give good response.

I was extremely pleased! Mr. and Mrs. Effler arrived promptly at 9:00 AM with five helpers. They quickly removed the underbrush and small trees. This provided space to safely remove several selected large trees. Hardwoods were cut into fire wood and all other material was shredded and left on sight per my request. They were finished at 4:00 PM. They performed a great service for me in a very professional way. The cost was 1/3rd the price quoted by another tree service. I could not be more pleased with the results!

Most of our lot is natural and heavily wooded. I needed some underbrush cleared and already fallen trees cut up and stacked in place. I've had them do this kind of wooded lot clean up twice and they do a great job! Reasonable pricing.

If I had written this review 6 months ago, it would have been quite a bit more positive. I had a tree come down in a storm last summer. They pushed me down the schedule several times, but when I finally said I was just going to have to find someone else, they came out on a Sunday. They did a great job clearing the tree and getting rid of a couple other troublesome branches in my yard, and the price was fair. They recommended that I have some more branches and vines removed in the winter. I called before Christmas to set up a January appointment. Teresa said she'd call after the new year, but never did. So I called. We set up an appointment with a window from Tuesday - Friday. Yes, a 4-day window. Friday came and Teresa called and re-scheduled for the next Tuesday or Wednesday. Today is Wednesday - and yes, it's the day of our "big storm." I do realize that driving around town was a little more difficult today, but I can't see how a little snow on my grass could make cutting down branches (that have no snow on them) a challenge. Regardless, I expected a phone call one way or the other. I didn't get one. When I called at 4 o'clock and asked why I hadn't heard from them, I got "well, in case you haven't noticed, it's snowy outside and it makes it difficult to deal with branches and vines." So, sadly, here I am writing a bad review.

Arrived on time and ready to go! The tree was gone and stump ground within 20 minutes. All that was left behind was a few shavings from the stump. Excellent job!

The tree branch fell during the night so the next day we got a reference from a neighbor who had used them. They responded immediately and came that afternoon. We were their last call so they were tired but came to our aid with no complaints. They were honest and gave us a good price plus a price for two more trees that need to come down. They were very professional and cleaned up when they were finished. We will definitely use them.

We had a bunch of overgrown hollies and too much shade. They most cut trees but also did some trimming. They did a great job, were flexible with last minute changes, and worked through the rain to complete my job. I appreciated the advice and recommendations from James on which trees to cut versus trim. They even did a little extra thing that I didn't want to ask my husband to do. I highly recommend James and Theresa and crew. You don't need to look elsewhere and you don't need to negotiate the price. Just call them and be lucky to get on their schedule.

Went very well. James and his wife Teresa are very personable and professional. Arrived in the morning, got right to work and everything was done within several hours. My natural area looks much better now and I'm very glad I had it done. Would definitely use the tree service again, in addition to some of the other services.

They were great. I did have to leave a message but the call was returned soon. We had used them when we first moved to our house 3 years ago to remove 3 Leland Cypress trees that were diseased and they did a great job back than. We have referred them to friends and they have been very pleased. When they came to give us an estimate we were told it would not be until the next week but they would come the next day to take the large limb that had fallen out of the front yard. We were a little concerned because when they gave us the estimate he showed my husband stress lines in the tree. But to our surprise when they came to get the limb they also were able to take the tree in the front yard and on the side of the house and grind the stump. Our house is visible now and I have to say we are very happy with the work. Now just to get the property management company to come out and plant sod as they said they would since they encroached on our property when the Bradfrod Pear was in our front yard.

We used them once before so we knew they would be on time for the job, and always do exactly what was discussed when they come and give a bid. They use a very good crew. They are reasonably priced and very honest. They were just a little higher than other bids, but because we had used them before, we knew they were worth the money. They do a good job cleaning up. We would use them again and with so many very large trees around our house will probably be calling them again.

They showed up with all there gear, went right to work, were courteous, and cleaned up after the job. They did exactly as I needed.

See above. I still do not have mulch and will be looking elsewhere for a source. I was surprised someone from Angie's List would not care more about pleasing a customer. I guess my job was too small to bother with.

It went great. Half of a tree cam down in a wind storm and I got them out the next morning. One day later the stump was ground up. They ground up so much stump that it looks like an ant hill. I was very impressed with their skill. The tree hit my house and more limbs were close to it and the neighbors fence. They prevented damage to the house and fence and had the 20 year old tree removed in less than one hour.

I called for an estimate for stump grinding for 2 small trees in my yard. Someone came out that day and Teresa called a few hours later with an estimate. The estimate was about $10 more than another estimate but the less expensive company said it would be a couple of weeks before someone could come out. Teresa was able to schedule the work within days and kept me informed when inclement weather forced a few days delay. They came when promised; stumps were ground up; they left. All within about 20 minutes.

Entire process was effortless. They came out and gave us a free quote to do the job. After we hired them, Teresa called the night before to let us know they would be out the next day (so we could keep our dog in the house.) By the time we got home from work, the job was completed and there wasn't a trace of trees left - no evidence they had even been there! I wrote them a check to be picked up the next day.

They are a husband and wife team. She handled the phone call and was very pleasant and efficient. They came out two days later to give me an estimate first thiing in the morning. I liked them and the estimate and they did the job on the spot. I would definitely use them again and I would highly recommend them.

They really did great work and were great to work with. Price was outstanding. Had other quotes that were ridiculous for what I needed done. I recommend calling Out on a Limb for a quote. You will not be dissapointed.

I have used them two times. They have also done work for several homes in my neighborhood. They are hard workers, great about cleaning up afterwards. Answered their phone, on time, very hard workers, and clean up afterwards was exceptional.

James came to the house as scheduled to give me a quote. I walked him through the property explaining exactly what I needed, he gave me a verbal price and we shook hands on it. While he was at my house it was very clear what the scope of the project was and we discussed that he only had a part timer, that I was not in a hurry, and scheduling would not be problem. After James left I notified other companies that had taken the time to give me a quote that I would not need their services. After the weekend I called Out on a Limb to confirm a date, had to wait 2-3 days for a return call only to be told since they only had one part time tree climber and scheduling issues they recommended I contract with another company and indicated my job was too big for them. Both James and Teresa are nice enough people but I would never attempt to do business with them again, if my small job was too big for them James should have told me that while he was there or at least have the decency to call me once he knew he could not handle the job. I don't know what would be within their capabilities and the fact that we shook hands on Friday only to be brushed off the following week is not indicative of the kind of people I like to do business with. The upside is I found another tree company that has proven to be far more professional and provided a much better price than Out on a Limb.

James and Teresa set an appointment and arrived promptly. They walked the property with me and we agreed on the trees that needed to be removed and what limbs he would prune and we settled on what I thought was an extremely reasonable price. They came back several days later, did the work and had my husband approve of what they did. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we will be calling them regularly to keep our home safe from the woods we live in.
