Description of Work: We have a Saucer Magnolia and a River Birch that are close to the house and need to be maintained properly not only for the aesthetics but to keep the size under control. We wanted to find an Arborist who we felt comfortable with to continue this service on an annual basis. We hired Carl because he fit the type of person we were looking for. He is very knowledgeable and reliable. This was our first job with him so along with the above mentioned trees he also trimmed 2 oaks and a very large sweet gum tree hence the price. My husband and I were very pleased with the work and that when he left, our yard looked cleaner than when he arrived.

+ -1 moreKeith came out the same day I called, talked to me about my trees, gave me a reasonable estimate, and scheduled a time to come do the work within 1-2 weeks so it could be scheduled as a fill-in to bigger jobs. When I came home from work two days later, the trees and stumps were gone and the area was completely clean. I mailed him a check after the job was done. I have had tree work done once before by another Angie's List service; Halas was better to work with, cheaper, and did what they promised quicker than I expected.
Description of Work: Complete removal of two large dead trees and an old stump.

+ -1 moreSERVICE WAS FINE. TOOK ABOUT 1 HR TO CUT THE TREE DOWN, PICK UP THE WOOD, AND RAKE THE LAWN AND SWEEP THE DRIVEWAY FROM DEBRIS THAT RESULTED FROM FELLING THE TREE. MR. HALAS DID THE WORK WITH 1 ASSISTANT. DID NOT PRICE SHOP SINCE I WANTED THE TREE REMOVED PROMPTLY, TO MINIMIZE THE CHANCE FOR ADJOINING TREES FROM GETTING THE BEETLE INFESTATION AS WELL.
Description of Work: CUT DOWN AND REMOVED A PINE TREE (40-50FT IN HEIGHT), IN FRONT YARD, THAT WAS INFESTED WITH BEETLES. HAULED WOOD AWAY.
