I called Carolina Environmental to have my home tested for mold. We spoke on the phone the week of 11/28 to book the appointment and Mike told me all the things they do for $250 service, including testing the air for mold, check the HVAC ducts, etc. I sent a follow up text asking if they do any actual air quality testing that will tell what type of mold we have, if any, he said "Yes" Mike arrived to my home and checked the gutters (only the front though?) and didn't have a ladder (how do you check the HVAC ducts if I didn't have a ladder for him to use? that was one of my priority items I discussed with him on the phone, we definitely wanted our actual HVAC ducts checked), and then plugged in an air quality monitor, which I understand it can detect conditions that lead to mold growth, but it definitely did not tell if I have mold anywhere in my house or not, and used my ladder to look into the attic for a few minutes, and then showed me a video on his phone to try to sell me a $2,500 air purifier.

This company is extremely responsive, friendly and knowledgeable. I called for a mold inspection and they arrived the next day. Found the root of our problem, and gave us recommendations for other contractors for additional help. While suggestions /recommendations were made for upgrades, they did NOT push for sales.

He was thorough and very efficient.
