I own a highly customised unit in HOA in NC that Fowler and Fowler used to "manage''. In 2016, while the Unit was rented, there was a leak. Amy Hedgecock introduced herself by writing me a threatening letter that if I do not fix it promptly she will encourage my neighbor to report me to the Health Department. Turned out the Leak was the HOAs responsibility and the job meant tearing out the tiles in the foyer. I sent 2 emails to Fowler and Fowler Realtors that I need to approve of the tile first. Fowler and Fowler ignored both emails and installed completely unsuitable tile. When I wanted them to fix it - they stop responding. Also HOA's in NC are generally non profits regulated by Statue 55A - members should receive all financial documents within 5 business days , after receiving a written request. It took Amy Hedgecock 3 months and countless reminders to send them over. STAY AWAY

I used them for 12 years. We were overseas at the time and we needed to put our house up for rent because our insurance wouldn't cover it if it was vacant. So we had it rented. We hired Fowler & Fowler to manage it. The first two years, when the sister, Becky Fowler, was managing the property, she would notify us if there was anything that came up that was wrong and she would take care of the maintenance. But her daughter took over in her stead. Amy Hedgecock, allowed the property to become a horrible space. She didn't manage it. Whenever there were repairs that were needed, it was months before the repairs were initiated. When she initiated a repair, such as the repair to fix up a bathroom leak, she authorized cutting the drywall in another room and failed to authorize anyone to fix that. So, the drywall hole that was cut - it was large enough for a man to climb through - was left open inside the bathroom. The tenants never complained about it. But, because of that there was other damage that was done to the property. So, it was just horrible management. Whenever I would call to request any information, they were not able to provide information in quick time. The tenants had brought roaches with them. They were told to clean up the town home and then also, they would have to pay for the pest control and if they didn't pay for it themselves then the management company would hire a company to come out and maintain that on a monthly basis. They were sent a letter and this was like in the second or third year that they were living there. They lived there for 12 years and nothing was ever done. So the follow through of Fowler & Fowler by Amy Hedgecock did allow roaches. It was so bad that when they did decide to move out - because I was going to raise the rent, which was never increased during the entire time that they were there - they went ahead and moved out and there was roach fecal matter all over the walls. It was just horrible.
