Poor re getting back to me to confirm day/time of appointment. Did not wash sills of windows. Would not include any additional windows the day of service. I was told I would have to schedule those for another day. Charged extra for small pane windows. That was not discussed ahead of time.

He was very professional and thorough. I would definitely use this company again.

I contacted them on July 8th, though Angie's List, and almost immediately got a reply to confirm the address. I sent that off at that time. but it wasn't till the 14th that I finally got a response about scheduling. They scheduled me for the 22nd. However on the 22nd I got home to find that I could still see the same growth in the gutters, so obviously they hadn't come by. But I received no message via phone or Angie's List. I sent a message via the List on the 23rd and got a fairly quick reply that they were sorry to miss me on the 22nd, but were set to come by today (23rd). They did come by that day and performed the work. From what I could tell they did a good job of cleaning and I didn't see any sign of the work on the ground around the house, so they also cleaned up nicely. Overall, they did a good job. My main issue, which seems to be an issue for many companies, is communication. Both the initial scheduling and the rescheduling of the actual appointment. It's understandable that sometimes appointments have to be rescheduled, however keeping the customer updated goes a long way to eliminating bad feelings and frustration.

Easy to schedule, and very responsive to questions/updates as needed. We had to reschedule due to rain, but Mike was able to get us in the next day. Would recommend and did a great job.

After purchasing the Angie's List Deal for exterior pressure washing on May 10th, I was quickly contacted by Michael at Oak City Home Services who confirmed a service date of May 30th. Unfortunately, my service was not able to be completed on that date (no call, no show) and I received an email the next day asking to reschedule. However, the owner was getting married and going out of town during the month of June and was therefore not able to complete the service for several weeks. He graciously referred me to another company and sent me instructions on requesting a refund from Angie's List, or gave me the option to wait. I was not in a rush to have the service done so I simply waited until he returned and the service was rescheduled for July 8th. In the end, I am very pleased with the owner's professionalism, quality of the job and the price paid, but not with the scheduling, especially since I paid upfront. However, I understand the specific circumstances and timing surrounding my exact job, and know that it's unlikely that would happen again in the future, so I am giving an A score overall.

Excellent service. Gutters very clean and all debris removed from yard.

Was hired o clean gutters and clean out dryer hosing. Shortly after service our dryer performed very poorly. We had someone come out and look in the hose under the house and the service person shoved the lint back up into the pipe to cause a blockage. All of the piping needed to be replaced due to the blockage. We had asked why they didn't need to come into the house and were told they could do it from outside. All they did was shove the debris back up into the pipe. We would not recommend this service provider. Update: 8/19/15 The service provider contacted us after receiving a poor rating and was very good about finding out what could be done to rectify the situation. For reaching out to us we have changed our rating from some "F's to all C's for taking the time to rectify the situation.

Contracted him to do inside, outside and screens. All was done via email. His emails were polite and he responded. Was always unable to reach via phone number given. He cancelled 3x due to inclement weather. We came up with a verified date and time that he chose. He was a no show, no call no email. Would NOT recommend.

Rescheduled at least twice and finally came two weeks after original appointment. They could have communicated the changes better as we did not hear from them until a few days after missed appointments.

Michael was very responsive and replied to emails immediately. He arrived on time and did an excellent job cleaning the gutters and cleaning up afterwards. His price was more than I have paid in the past but the quality of his work and his professionalism made it worth while.

.He cane at a dufferent tume that agreed to and said he didn't do the work because he Needed a signature to do additional work but no one was home. I called to ask why he didn't come on the date agreed. He was grumpy and abrupt. He never came or called; I had to contact him each and every time. He was very unprofessional.

We were extremely pleased with the services provided by Michael Hall of Oak City Home Services. He was friendly, courteous, well dressed, and very professional. He arrived on time and cleaned all of our gutters for our approximately 3000 sq. ft., two story house in under an hour. Additionally, he removed all debris that fell on the ground and the deck. I highly recommend Michael to anyone needing gutter cleaning. I will definitely use him again in the future.

They did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves quite well, were prompt with all communication around scheduling and weather changes, and their prices were very competitive. I knew pressure washing would make the house look better, but I was pleaseantly surprised at what a tremendous difference it actually made. I will definitely use Oak City again and would recommend them to others.

It was good. There were no additional fees. They did an okay job. It was out of the ordinary. They just came in and did what they were supposed to do. We had some scheduling issues. I never met anybody face to face.

He found the issues and cleared the Gutters. However, he took a while to get to the house from when I first contacted him. He did mention that there was a delay due to the response to the Angie's List deal.

They did a fine job. We'll gladly rehire them again.

I was pleased with the gutter cleaning I got from Oak City and hired them to pressure wash the outside of my house. The house had visible mildew in some places on the siding and also along a portion of back yard fencing. The young man who did the work explained that for wood siding the company does not do a high pressure wash as that may chip the paint, but instead uses an environmentally safe mixture of bleach and soap with low pressure water. The house looked sparkling at the end of the procedure - not only was siding clean, but dirt and debris under the eaves had been removed amd the back yard fencing looked white once again. I definitely will be using this company again. Their rates are reasonable and they do good, careful work.

In the end, Michael didn't charge extra for dealing with the gutter guards since they didn't add that much time to his work. The work was done well. My only "negative" is that communication with Michael was a bit difficult. He had scheduled to come on one day, but he didn't show up. He said he had sent emails to all his customers saying that the rain had delayed him, but I never received that. But otherwise, he did a good job and was very reasonable in his charges.

Went well. Appointment was made but work not completed until next day. Have made arrangements for future cleanings on a regular basis.

I scheduled the gutter service as the result of a special offered on Angie's List. It took Oak City a little longer to respond than I expected, but this is a busy time of year for them. The young man who came out did a great job and was unusually articulate and helpful with advice. I was impressed with their service and am hiring Oak City to pressure wash the outside of my house.

They came while I was out, they cleaned the gutters and left no mess on the ground. No complaints

I will definitely use Oak City again. Scheduling the appointment was quick and easy. The young man who came was pleasant and courteous. He did a great job and cleaned up completely.

He did an exceptional job of removing all the branches and leaves from my roof ($59 Big Deal), including under the gutter guards ($30 extra). I will absolutely use him again, and I highly recommend Oak City Home Services.
