C & E Appliance Service Repair

We had an LG refrigerator stop cooling and contacted C&E for a service call. They came the next day, did some diagnostics and determined the compressor had failed. The repairman then proceeded to explain that there had been a class action lawsuit settled on LG compressors and our model was covered under the settlement. He then pointed us to the specific website to file our claim and the refrigerator was repaired by LG free of charge the day after we filed the claim. Thatâ s customer service that will have me call this company again the next time I need something repaired.

Wanted us to be very informed about what he was doing or about what he intended to do.

Spectacular experience. Contacted C&E to replace my 8+year old 1/3 hp garbage disposal. Gabe contacted me the same day and was able to remove my old disposal and had a new updated 1/2hp disposal installed in no time. at a reasonable price the same day. I would definitely recommend C&E for your appliance repair needs.

Not a good experience. I discussed the make and model of my Wine and Beverage Cooler with them before coming out and that it was not cooling. I was pretty sure it was a failed compressor but they convinced me to let them come out to check it out. The technician came on time and after turning the unit, without running any tests, indicated it was a bad compressor. He said they would contact the manufacturer to get a cost estimate for a compressor and give me an estimate to replace the compressor and the dryer. After a week and not hearing from them, I called the office and they gave me the same answer I see in another review, They could not perform the repair due to the part being discontinued or not available. I was disappointed that they could not offer me any alternatives and did not offer any suggestions. Also, they knew the make and model number of my unit before coming out. They could have looked this up at that time and at least informed me that, if my problem was a bad compressor, they would not be able to get one from the manufacturer. Often times there is a third party company that makes a replacement part but they did not offer this as an option either. Like I said, not a good experience for the money.

Timely initial response, slow but helpful follow up. They could not perform the repair due to the part being discontinued, but the very friendly admin looked for alternatives and offered several suggestions.

I did not bother to do the review from your site because it seems slanted toward only positive postings. I hired this company and they sent a technician (Gary) out to check out my ice maker. He looked at it...beat and banged on it...tried unsuccessfully to remove the ice maker...and finally just pronounced it is bad and needing replacement. I gave him a check for around $400 for parts and he left. Afterward, I looked into the ice maker and saw a huge chunk of ice in the back where the water comes in. I melted the ice with a hairdryer and restarted the ice maker and it began making ice...but was making a noise and water was getting into the ice bucket. I called C and E and told them that the ice maker was functional and that I thought the problem now was the beating and banging on the unit had caused the leak. I stopped payment on the check and later that day someone called to ask if they could have a different tech come out and take a look. I agreed and they sent a tech named Mike who knew what he was doing. He removed the ice maker...checked everything out...reassembled it and adjusted the water inlet tube. The ice maker is working beautifully now with no issues but I did have to pay an additional service charge for the labor of around $90...in addition to the original $79. I am OK with that total. My issue is with the way this vendor was presented via Home Advisor. It appeared that they had excellent reviews but when I check Yelp it was horrible and even the BBB rating was bad... A C-. Because of this, I will never trust Home Advisor or Angi again.

Guys responding immediately :) Tech came out, did not look at notes, seemed confused? Seemed in a hurry, made suggestion to use hot water to clean out washing machine which did not work. Order parts to fix and said 3-10 which we knew would never happen. So, we cancelled follow up and called office 3x to correct over billing. Never got back to us.

I should have listened to the reviews. C and E have the worst customer service I have ever had in my life. They charged me $400 on my Samsung refrigerator to replace my fan, not the coil which was the issue with ice buildup. The fan was working fine. I can not get anyone out to actually fix my refrigerator properly. I am furious with this company. After they basically charged me for a part I did not need, they would not return my calls. Same Technician showed up twice and each time did not come prepared with required equipment and failed to clean up after work the first time . They were supposed to call me back after second visit but no one called me back, and they over charge.If I can give minus or zero stars I would do exactly that. After 4 months, the refrigerator is not fixed and still has the same problem as before. The customer has to contact them with no follow-up and they will not call you back. Different technicians told me different parts were the cause.

on 2/22/2021 they came out and charged me $69 for the trip. They said they had to order a broiler heating element and would be back out in 7-10 days after the part came in. They drove a regular van with no company logo on it and when I asked why they could not get the part out of their van they said the company truck was broken and they had to drive their personal car. After two weeks I have had no word from them. When I call the telephone number on the invoice - I get a message machine. I have been trying for 4 days to get ahold of them with no luck. They came and checked out my microwave and said I needed a part, and they would call me back, and I have not heard anything. When the appointment was made my fee was going to be 69.00, but when the person arrived it was 79.00. I was not pleased with that.
