I called Chris on Tuesday and made arrangements for a service call on Wednesday (12/31). Chris disassembled the icemaker and showed me where the thermostat wiring had overheated and melted other wiring and plastic in the area. Parts had to be ordered since there was considerable damage. Chris called Friday morning saying parts had arrived, we met at the house, and repairs were done in about 30 minutes.

Work performed pretty much as expected. First call was to diagnose the problem. Repair call had to be rescheduled for a few days because the warehouse delivered the wrong part. Once the correct part was delivered, the oven was repaired and now works with no problems.

He was on time, gave a cost before replacing the part, and gave me a warranty on his work and the part.

"Thanks for the review but you've reviewed the wrong company. We don't have a Mr Patel working with us. That's Mr appliance."

The refrigerator and freezer worked.  He had us unplug the appliance and plug in after 5  minutes to reset.  It's working great.

The freezer on our side-by-side refrigerator stopped freezing on a Friday.  This happened on a week in which the area experienced several snow days.  I had called numerous appliance repair businesses, and they all stated that they could come on Monday or Tuesday at the earliest because of the backlog in work that had accumulated over the snow days. Towards the end of the day, I called Chris at Reliable Repair.  He said that he normally doesn't work on Saturdays, but because of the number of days off, he could perform the work on Saturday.  Great.  He stated that he'd arrive between 9:30 and 10:00 am.  Saturday morning, he called en route to let me know that he'd be at my home by 9:30, which he did.  Based on my description of the freezer issues, Chris had the correct part to fix the problem, which turned out to be a faulty circuit board.  He performed the fix quickly and was finished with the job inside of 30 minutes.  I asked about the price of the circuit board, which seemed higher in price than other repair businesses quoted, and he stated that he uses only new circuit boards whereas the lower priced boards are most likely refurbished parts.  I appreciated that Chris made the service call on a Saturday when the other repair businesses wouldn't have made the repair until days later.

Dryer was not heating (second time through this with a dryer only 1 year old), and I was stuck between appliance repairmen saying it was the electrical outlet and the electricians saying it was the dryer. The technician evaluated the dryer, showed me himself what the voltage was being put out from the outlet (sporadically due to bad outlet), wrote a short, but concise summary of the problem, confirming it was not my dryer, also confirming my dryer did not cause the bad plug outlet, charged a very reasonable service call and left. I can't say it was service with a smile, but he was clear, succinct, didn't hesitate to show me exactly what he was doing/checking, and the price was reasonable, 20% less than the last repair person who basically had done the same thing. (Stubborn electrician and landlord) I'll take straight-forward, honest and quick over a smile any day, I would use this company again in a heartbeat!

I liked that the guy knew what he was talking about. He was very quick. I wasn't sure that they'd call me back, but they did.
