I had someone else (not a HW Hobbs employee) install a new toilet and immediately I saw a leak in the ceiling of my kitchen. I called HW Hobbs and TJ came out and fixed the bathroom drain pipe and flange. Both were cracked. Then he reset the toilet. When I got home everything was cleaned up and the job was well done. I had previously had TJ also attach a flue to my water heater. He is always nice, professional, works quickly, does nice work, and cleans up the job site nicely. I would highly recommend. Thanks TJ!

The work was good. There's nothing they can work on. The communication was good.

He's my regular plumber. They've been our only plumber for years. They're just the best. They are a busy company but they make every effort to get out as soon as possible. They are super nice, they're always nice. They've always been able to identify the problem immediately and if they have to come back with a part or something, they do so quickly. And they are always in good communication with you so it's not like you're wondering where's that part and when are they going to call me back. They always keep you up on what's going on.

I would grade them A on price, but they're the only ones I've used in forever, and I can't even tell you right out what their rate is but to me it's reasonable.

I sound like their best friend, but I just think they are awesome. Always on time, very professional. What's great about them too is they have the same staff that's been there for years. If they have a new person, usually someone older comes with them but they've got a lot of continuity so they know us, we know them. It's just really nice.

They didn't do a satisfactory job. The problem is that we don't get enough hot water. We told them that we was not getting enough hot water. I think they knew what that problem was but they didn't repair it.

Hobbs was very responsive regarding the time of the disconnect and reconnect so that I was without a kitchen sink only one day allowing the counter top glue to dry before the sink could be reconnected.
The problem came during the installation of the reverse osmosis filtration system I bought at Lowe's. I knew since I purchased the system that I was responsible for the parts but during the installation the drain fitting was broken and rather than be told that, a hose clamp was used to try to keep it from leaking. The plumber who installed it had plenty of time to tell me about the problem and show me where to look for a leak, since he had to show me how to sanitize the tank and flush it after he left.
After flushing the filter watered tank I noticed a puddle of water on the floor in front of the sink. Only when I called did he tell me about the broken piece and how he tried to fix it with the hose clamp. After two trips to Lowe's and reading the instructions I saw where the instructions warn against over-tightening this plastic fitting because it might break.
I chose to replace the piece myself since Hobbs was assuming no responsibility for the installation of something I bought and without over tightening that drain piece, it now works fine. The office called a few days later to see if I needed the plumber to come back out and I told them I installed it myself. They called back a few days later and asked for payment and it was for the reconnect/disconnect as well as the additional $150 for the installation of the filtration system. There was no offer of a discount for breaking the piece, nor any credit toward the next time I used them. Of course there was no apology from the plumber or the company for the broken part.
Not the worst service I've received from anyone but nothing to recommend them either.

I noticed water dripping slowly from the chandelier in my foyer. I called Hobbs after suggestion from my son-in-law who had used them twice in last few years and was extremely satisfied. I had looked upstairs and saw nothing but Tony went straight to upstairs hall bath and saw water slowing dripping from commode pipe and into corner behind commode, almost hidden and had it repaired in no time. Tony was very professional, removed his shoes, insisted on removing cleaning supplies for me, and was so very nice. I will certainly be calling them again when I need a plumber which could be for bathroom updating again for sure. We built our house 42 yrs ago! We're extremely satisfied!

Hobbs came out and the guy said it needed to be replaced. We were charged fifty bucks for that and he didn't even turn off the valve to the unit, which was leaking. He said he couldn't. Somebody else (a non-plumber) showed us the valve which was right at the base of the unit. THEN we found the damage that the leak had caused.
I shouldn't have to tell a plumber to cut of water flow to a leaking appliance.

Its a rental property (only have one) and generally have tenants handle much of service based on discussion with me first to confirm need and see if anything simple.
When tenants first reported issue, had them try to use plunger to resolve (with enough persistance and good enough plunger, I've generally been able to resolve enough to get drain moving, then use lye to really clean out the old cast iron pipes).
Tenants talked to couple companies that were more (including the and quot;nationaland quot; name for drain clearing that once they came out wanted nearly $400 vs. lower initial quote on phone).
By time I got around to looking up who I had used before and making call to see about their pricing for a drain clog, when called tenant with details they had already used Hobbs who was fine but a bit more than would have spent.

My water pressure had been low for a couple of months starting in June but my water bill was never unusually high and I didn't see water puddling anywhere in the yard until some time in August. I called my regular plumber but he said that he no longer does any job involving digging and so I called Hobbs because my mother had used them in the past. They arrived on time and did a good job outlining what they were going to do. They made it clear that until they started digging they really couldn't tell me how much of the yard they would have to dig up. The area where they started digging was surrounded by shrubs and they dug up and placed to the side the shrubs that were in the way. Luckily they found the leak after only digging approximately a 3' x 3' hole. They replaced the connection, tested it and filled the hole back in all within about 2 hours. I was very happy with their work and would have absolutely no problem using them again.

Showed up promptly. Gave a 4 hour estimate for 2 service men; took about 2.5 hours. When supposedly finished wife had to catch them and have the sink with the new faucet re-seated. The drain stopper for the same sink was also not installed properly (came lose from the catch arm) and I had to adjust. Charged $75 as a trip fee that was not applicable to the services performed. Price seems high for the quality of work performed.
Response from W.H. Hobbs Inc.
"All pricing was quoted upfront and approved before any work was started. Only a $59.50 service trip fee was charged, as quoted and agreed to, our signed invoice copy reflects this also. We do not charge by the hour, we charge by each job, which most plumbing hvac and electrical companies do now in modern times. This is also explained to each one of our clients beforehand and is also printed in rather large print on our service order. Two servicemen happen to be together due to a larger job being done afterwords requiring two men in the same area. The work may have been performed a bit faster, but doesn't mean any less work was done. Also more work and parts were installed that was not mentioned by the member. We are very sorry this member was not completely satisfied. Had we known, even been given a slight clue, we would have gladly been willing to work with them to achieve complete satisfaction."

Company was very responsive. Came out same day we called. Was given two options, replace bad valve or replace the water heater. Since it was a 10 year old heater, we decided to fully replace heater rather than taking a chance and spend money to replace the valve. Company also coordinated call to inspect the water heater with the city once it was installed. Overall great service and follow up.

They were wonderful as always when they came out to clear the drains. They always do very good, high quality work. They are very reliable about coming out when they say that they will. They do not leave nasty messes behind. They are great. Their prices are very reasonable. I found them a few years back and now I will not let anyone else touch my plumbing.

Plumber disassembled plastic pipe and used a plumber's snake to dislodge a hair ball in the drain. Total time was 45 minutes with no material used. $225.00 seemed awfully high for this level work. My expectation would have been around $125.00. I've used this company in the past and felt the work was priced fairly. Not this time.

They showed up on time. When you call to make an appointment, they are very nice and easy to deal with. They will call you with a heads-up reminder of when your appointment is, if you need them to. They also charge a really reasonable price for the services they provide.

After calling numerous plumbers to fix a leaky sink faucet and drain, Dean was able to come out the same day during a holiday week. He was task oriented and did a good job. He had no problem taking a look at our leaky toilet too.

Laura was able to send someone out the same day that I called. This was greatly appreciated because I had a real mess with the leak and also the water having to be turned off. Tony did a great job repairing the leak and was very nice and well informed about questions that I asked him.
